Disturbing footage shows swarms of looters rushing into one of the world’s most famous stores—Macy’s flagship on Herald Square—as Midtown descended into chaos overnight. One overhead video showed looters racing into one of the boarded-up entrances shortly before the curfew started Monday night—with only a small unexplained explosion seeming to halt the rush. Other clips showed a steady stream of cops finally arriving to follow the looters inside the Manhattan superstore on 34th Street, which had been boarded up in a futile attempt to protect it from potential attack.
“Hundreds of looters and rioters here with absolutely no concerns about cops
Clearly their voices aren't being heard so their only alternative is to loot the liquor store

This is what happens when you elect weaklings to high office; people whose primary concern is for lawbreakers and not for the taxpayer and business owner.

Based on the permissive culture in New Yark many of the midnight shoppers will try to exchange the merchandise for something else. If Macy's declines Mayor de Blockhead will accuse them of racism. To paraphrase Chris Rock, if you want a business that will never be looted open a bookstore.

The oh so woke statements from the CEO about diversity and understanding, they don't care. You have expensive stuff. They feel entitled to your stuff without paying for it. Enjoy the world you made with your limp wristed pandering, your pathetic virtue signalling, and your endless financial support for the Democrats who condone and even participate in this lawlessness.

George Jennette - - the doofus CEO of Macy's - - thought that he could stave off the rioters and looters by being "sensitive" and "diverse."
These idiots will never learn - - no matter what they experience - - that the only good commie is a dead one. Living commies cannot be appeased or assuaged. They want what you have - - and only death will stop them.

Macy's was hurting before CCP virus and now this, I guess we can kiss the TG day parade gone soon.
DeBlasio is nuts. When NYC said they setting a 11pm curfew I told my wife that was much too late. Tonight is 8pm we'll see what happens.

Rumor has it that looters are doing much better in SF and LA where they don't charge theft under $1000. Go get $995 and come back for seconds.

This might be the final stake through the heart of Macy's. Might they not recover from this?

Do tell us, how many Macy executives and employees voted for DeBlasio (who is responsible for ordering the NYPD to respond to turbulence) and Cuomo.
They should file their diversity + politically correct diversity BarbaSreisand statements in the tropical section of their nether regions, and live with the results of their philosophy and their votes.

Early this morning I watched a short video of a black woman excoriating white women in a brand new, shiny car who were passing out bricks to black boys (14-15). It has been taken down, no doubt to protect the narrative. Evil is among us.

About 50% of my work is (was) in NYC. Since my daughter lives there, I was pondering getting a small flat to set up as a pied a terre.
The incompetency, intolerance, and sliminess of de Blasio/Cuomo/ et.al. would not make it a good investment. And the taxes!
No longer on my mind.

But the looters were by and large very peaceful.

Why would Macy's rebuild in Manhattan? Seems pointless. And they may not be financially well enough to afford to do it.

I would not be surprised to hear that insurance companies are contesting loss reimbursements because the stores did not take adequate measures to protect themselves. Especially that Rolex store. Really, after 3 nights of rioting you leave expensive merchandise out - and you don't have adequate armed security to protect the merchandise? Also interesting to see how much insurance will go up in these neighborhoods. Why rebuild? So you can wait for the next faux tragedy/excuse to riot.

Sickening. I've shopped Macy's Herald Square as a visitor to NYC from thousands of miles away.

The communists behind the domestic unrest don't care because they wouldn't stoop to shop at common merchandisers like Macy's, but how will this mayhem resonate with the greater mass of useful idiots (formerly called "soccer moms," now including many soyboys) who condone it all by voting Democrat?
