Apparently, Democrats Really Are
Worried about an Economic Rebound

Original Article

This story in Politico will add fuel to the fire to the GOP argument that Democrats are rooting against signs of an economic recovery before November. Jason Furman, a top economist in the Obama administration and now a professor at Harvard, contends that “we are about to see the best economic data we’ve seen in the history of this country.” As the country gradually figures out how to function with the coronavirus, the sudden steep drop in economic activity will climb back up again. In fact, it may be happening already, although it may not show up in economic statistics for a while.

Once again their timing was off. They thought they could stretch this out so it would impact the election. What is happening in PA. The democrat legislators are turning on their democrat governor. It looks like the voters in PA have had enough. We will remind them what our Governor did before election day.

If you work for the government and do not have the interest of all Americans, maybe you shouldn't be working for the government. Serving all Americans is a very healthy attitude for government officials and not oneself. It is very visible right now who is serving their own interest. . .

The list of democrat politicians I dislike is very, very long. But if, God forbid, one of them was president, I would not wish the economy would tank on his watch. I don't want my fellow Americans to suffer, much as I dislike a politician. That's called empathy and I don't know a single prog who has it.

One amusing error that the democrats are making in their anti-Trump campaign ads is they are attempting to portray Donald Trump as not serious enough about the virus and that he is risking lives by encouraging everything to open up too early. This strategy will backfire hugely when the economy is roaring again, the virus becomes insignificant and people will see who really did the harm - DEMOCRAT dictators.

Wishing misfortune and pain, economic or otherwise, on a good and innocent people for the sole purpose of acquiring power is the very definition of evil...and yet we discussed evil and the dimocrats yesterday. So this is confirming news.

Why would it be shocking they gleefully hope for economic destruction? They have openly said they hope people in Republican states die en masse from Covid. If you can wish death on your fellow countrymen, why not economic destruction?

Re: dems "they truly deserve to lose" This is the only truth among all the spin. It was true before the Coronavirus. It will be true no matter what the economy does. It will be true no matter what happens with the Coronavirus. Almost nothing that happens between now and election day will alter the following summary. It comes down to a man, Trump, who is trying to do his best for America and her People and has a pretty good record of success vs. a man, Biden, and his party that are only interested in power and control at any price and who have been shown to have no fixed principles and are utterly incompetent.

A person tweeted that they wanted all Republicans to die. What kind of hate lives in that person who did take it down after she said it. I don't hate people I don't know unless they want to physically harm me and my family. This hatred of America and half it's people is not normal. Every president has their chance to shine and do good for the nation but somewhere during Obama's reign it went wrong but I still didn't want the economy or the nation to fail. The left is like the dog that chases the yellow school bus once they catch it (gain power) what will they do with it?

One easy barometer for me is watching the highway traffic from where I live. It is busier than ever. A month ago, the traffic was non-existent. The economic recovery is well under way, but don't get complacent. No doubt, the Democrats and their thuggish lefty allies have more in store. Don't forget what our government, at all levels, did to us for two months. They will do it again. Remember that on election day.

A few thoughts. There's another thread on here that the virus is actually disappearing; fewer people are getting infected for several possible reasons. The stock market is a 6 month leading predictor. After it's panic bottom in March, it has been climbing a wall of worry, so the traders are anticipating a recovery this year. Republican recoveries are V shaped, for Victory. Democrat recoveries are L shaped, for losers.

When asked if Biden would have sacrificed the economy, Biden responded, “The answer is yes. The answer is yes, because the opportunity — the opportunity for those workers to transition to high-paying jobs, as Tom said, is real.” Now I remember. Everyone should learn to code so you could teach your foreign replacements.

The California anti-gig law is HORRIBLE! It basically makes it very hard for people to make extra money on their own time. Now Biden wants it all over? DemonRats are just plain evil. The only people who complained about the way things were were the people who tried to make Uber and Lyft their full-time jobs with benefits. They ruined it for everyone else.

It’s pretty clear who the commie bastards known for their shoddy lab practices and their weird fetish for gnawing on pangolins badly want to win in November, and is not Trump and the Republicans. The Chinese communists want their money’s worth, and they will go all-in for the Democrats who find the chance to hurt Trump at the same time they hurt America too delicious to pass up. Plus, the Dems heartily approve of what Mao’s Pals are doing to freedom-loving Hong Kongers, seeing it as a template for what they would love to do to freedom-loving us. Early in the COVID-19 pandemic, people predisposed to believe in conspiracies posited the idea that the coronavirus was a Chinese bioweapon manufactured in a Wuhan laboratory. This was always far-fetched. It seemed and still seems far more likely that the virus leaked accidentally from the lab, where safety procedures were known to be sloppy. But one counterargument made against the weapon theory, that the virus was not lethal enough, always seemed unpersuasive. Surely, a smart bioweapon made by a hostile power wanting to supplant America as world leader would not kill tens or hundreds of millions of people. It would infect and kill only

Not much was going on in the Michael Flynn probe until The Washington Post and a leaker reenergized the FBI, according to a newly disclosed transcript of closed-door testimony by former bureau Director James B. Comey. The FBI had filled out the paperwork to end the Flynn-Russia probe, but Mr. Comey halted the closing in early January 2017. Transcripts emerged of the incoming White House national security adviser talking by phone with Kremlin envoy Sergey Kislyak. The retired three-star Army general and Mr. Kislyak talked about not overreacting to economic sanctions that President Obama imposed on Dec. 31, 2016, in retaliation for Moscow’s election interference.

I’m sorry, but Joe Biden looked ridiculous wearing a Michael Jackson mask and sunglasses that covered most of his face on Memorial Day. It was his first outing in more than 10 weeks from his Delaware basement and should have been an opportunity to project strength and hope for the campaign ahead. Instead, it was a total downer. Politics is about perception, and the image of Biden that history will record shows a frail and muzzled Democratic presidential nominee. The black mask only accentuates the impression with an extra dash of weirdness.

Sacramento- I was perusing the internet for stories about the communist Chinese government’s brutal crackdown on Hong Kong’s pro-democracy demonstrators, who were protesting new national security laws and a measure criminalizing “disrespect” for the national anthem. There was a chilling video of police in riot gear firing rubber bullets at and spraying a chemical irritant on the generally peaceful crowd, but then I noticed the story’s dateline: Minneapolis. Oops, these were scenes from a different brutal government. Several hundred U.S. protesters had taken to the streets after a video circulated of a Minnesota officer calmly kneeling for several minutes on the neck of an unarmed man named George Floyd.

Andrew Cuomo Wednesday after he claimed last week to be following "what the Republican administration said to do" when he ordered nursing homes to admit coronavirus patients who had been discharged from hospitals. Verma told "The Brian Kilmeade Show" on Fox News Radio that neither she nor Trump instructed governors to place infected patients back in their original nursing home setting. "President Trump took very early actions when it came to nursing homes," Verma said. "We prohibited visitors [and] put out guidance to both nursing homes and states."

Five senators are staring down serious political danger ahead of the November elections. With less than six months to go until Election Day, the battle for control of the Senate hinges on five key states. Democrats are after four seats in particular — in Arizona, Colorado, Maine and North Carolina — while Republicans are largely playing defense, but see an easy pickup opportunity in Alabama. A handful of seats in states like Iowa, Montana and Michigan are also showing signs they may be in play. Here are the Senate seats most likely to flip in 2020.

COVID-19 has already killed thousands of nursing home residents in New York. An estimated 10,000 or more, double what the state reports. It’s hard to know what’s worse, the dying or the lying. Under criticism for forcing nursing homes to admit COVID-19 patients, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is trying to shift the blame to President Trump. “Don’t criticize the state for following the president’s policy,” Cuomo said at his Saturday news conference. The governor points to a Trump administration statement issued on March 13. Sorry, Governor, but you’re twisting what the statement said. The administration recommended nursing homes should admit patients even if they were coming from a hospital battling COVID-19,

Fauci said evidence also shows the likelihood that the drug can cause severe irregular heart rhythms. "There was suspicion of that for a while, but as data comes in, it becomes more clear," Fauci said. The pronouncements mark Fauci's strongest warnings yet against the drug and puts him at odds with President Trump, who has embraced the drug as a "game changer" and a "miracle."
