Twenty Questions for Barack Obama

Original Article

Over the last two weeks, considerable evidence has been released related to what appears to be a major, historic political scandal. The declassification of Susan Rice’s CYA email to herself alone raises a multitude of questions. Yet the mainstream media, who’ve suddenly become invincibly incurious about Russia-related matters, have posed not one question, either directly or indirectly, to the person to whom all the players in the scandal reported: Barack Obama. Since the Senate Judiciary Committee has signaled that the former president won’t be called to testify, it falls to the media to get some answers. But members of the media have avoided questioning Obama

Interesting questions but completely pointless. BO will lie, that's a given, and he will do so facilely. Whatever he says will be impossible to nail down and will be presented as a very reasonable response to the situation. The dems and media will circle the wagons because BO CANNOT be allowed to be taken down. Beyond that, Barr seems uninterested in pursuing BO or Biden probably figuring that the method of dealing with a corrupt president is impeachment bit BO is already out of office. It seems that there must be some proven criminality of the other players. We should convict them one by one, building whatever testimony we can to describe BO's involvement. In the end, there could be a body of evidence, provided as part of official proceedings, that condemns BO. Hopefully, there will also be some government restructuring and new laws that call out BO's actions and the need to prevent it in the future. We may not convict BO but we can kill his legacy. We may have to settle for that.

What is your real name? How does it feel to be the worst president ever? Did you celebrate Cinco de Quatro three weeks ago? How many states make up the United States? Considering how scandal-ridden your administration was, what is your definition of "smidgen?" Was it a proud moment every year when you won Lie of the Year? Are either you or the Mooch related to the surly sisters? Are you in the Guinness Book for lifetime achievement for the word "uh?" Joe Biden. Really?

We all "know" the answers to those questions but official verification is still forthcoming. If I was in a position to clean out the FBI, the top three layers would be scraped off and replaced. Those who did not know that a coup was going on are not smart enough to keep. Previous to 2016 when we thought about the FBI, visions of college-educated, dedicated, well-trained patriots came to mind, not a collection of dirty street cops who would answer to subhuman asshats like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Obama would need a teleprompter to answer even half a question. I am not sure the man (boy?) could even get his name right without a teleprompter. Despite all the accolades he has received, he really is not a bright man. He became president because others did a "good" job of handling him. I don't think the man has an original thought in his being. I loathe him.

Throughout most of the nation, the curve of the coronavirus has been decisively flattened. The healthcare system has not only survived but also excelled, keeping more than 94% of confirmed infected patients alive, a number that will only increase as testing ramps up. That’s better than Britain’s National Health Service or the healthcare systems of France, Belgium, Canada, Italy, Spain, Ireland, or Sweden, among others. But there are limits to how quickly commercial and economic life can resume because no government snap of the fingers can restore life to the way it was. Customer-facing businesses, in particular, can resume commercial activity only to the extent

Lee Smith’s article in Tablet, titled “How Russiagate Began With Obama’s Iran Deal Domestic Spying Campaign,” pieces together why President Obama warned then incoming President Donald Trump away from Michael Flynn. It explains why Flynn was investigated. It all fits. At the bottom of the Russian hoax story is a tale of narcissism: Hillary Clinton’s shock at losing the election, the media’s shock at being wrong and less capable of manipulation that they thought, and, importantly, Barack Obama’s shock that his priorities — all of them, but most of all the Iran Deal — would be swept away as so much ideological detritus. Memorial Day 2020 will be a weekend of cancellations—most parades and picnics must wait until next year. Regardless of present circumstances, though, the holiday’s true purpose is to honor those who died serving in the United States armed forces. Typically, Memorial Day weekend marks an annual pilgrimage to cemeteries, where volunteers, families, and friends decorate the graves of those who defended our nation. This year, many of the fallen won’t receive their annual visitors. In Hazleton, Pennsylvania, though, my family’s hometown, the tradition will go on this year, despite Covid-19’s impact on this mountaintop city, which, at one point, was a virus hotspot. New York- Hertz filed for bankruptcy Friday night, the latest victim of the sudden economic downturn sparked by the Covid-19 pandemic. The company has been renting cars since 1918, when it set up shop with a dozen Ford Model Ts, and has survived the Great Depression, the virtual halt of US auto production during World War II and numerous oil price shocks. By declaring bankruptcy, Hertz says it intends to stay in business while restructuring its debts and emerging a financially healthier company. "The impact of Covid-19 on travel demand was sudden and dramatic, causing an abrupt decline in the company's revenue and future bookings," said the company's statement.

China is currently transgressing the terms of its 1997 treaty over Hong Kong, which promised a “one country, two systems” settlement that preserved Hong Kong’s somewhat autonomous democratic institutions. These institutions guarantee rights to Hong Kongers and guard its common-law inheritance. China’s legislature in Beijing is preparing a new national-security law aimed at Hong Kong to prohibit and punish terrorism, foreign influence, and secession. By that, they mean demonstration, free speech, and a functioning democratic system with rights guaranteed to citizens. Meanwhile, Beijing’s loyalists installed in Hong Kong’s legislative council have been making open attempts at a putsch against the pro-democracy majority.

When House Democrats passed their $3 trillion coronavirus ‘relief’ package late last week, they also jammed through a rules change on proxy voting that fundamentally transforms the nature of the House of Representatives and junks centuries of tradition. Because of a change to House rules, members will now be able to submit their votes from afar. They will not have to travel back to DC to vote: they can instead send their ‘yea’ or ‘nay’ to a colleague, who will submit it on their behalf. One member can submit up to 10 votes at a time, meaning that the will of the House, which normally takes 218 members

One of our favorite stories about the State Department involves one of the wisest secretaries, George Shultz. Supposedly before he sent a new ambassador overseas he would invite the tyro into the secretary’s office. At some point he would sidle over to a large globe and give it a spin. Then he would ask the new ambassador to point to his country. As the globe slowed, the new envoy would point to whatever country he was assigned — France, maybe, or Brazil. “Oh, no,” Mr. Shultz would say, spinning the globe again. When it stopped he would point to America and proclaim, “THIS is your country.”

A University of Minnesota Law School professor, Francesco Parisi, has won a nearly $1.2 million defamation case against a woman who had falsely accused him of rape. In his blistering ruling on Tuesday, Hennepin County Judge Daniel Moreno wrote that Parisi’s former lover, Morgan Wright, had pursued an “untruthful narrative crusade,” and her “accusations were false, and made with malice.” It is believed to be the largest defamation judgement in Minnesota. The vast majority of the judgement, $814,514 is for economic losses, as well as reputational and emotional damages. Only $100,000 was for punitive damages. Parisi walked out of jail three years ago, his life in shambles.

When the British handed over Hong Kong to China in 1997, China promised to respect it’s independence for the next 50 years. The shorthand for that plan was “one country, two systems.” But the two systems part of the plan could effectively come to an end tomorrow. China has tried and failed in the past to exert more control over Hong Kong, but this time it seems prepared to simply bypass Hong Kong’s government entirely and pass the new law via the mainland’s one party system: Security rules proposed by the Hong Kong government in 2003 would have empowered the authorities to close seditious newspapers

Stay-home orders that extend too long could cause the U.S. “irreparable damage,” Dr. Anthony Fauci warned Friday. Strict crackdowns on large gatherings and other orders, such as for home quarantines, were needed when the coronavirus first hit the nation, but those rules can now begin to be lifted in many parts of the country, Fauci said during an interview on CNBC. “I don’t want people to think that any of us feel that staying locked down for a prolonged period of time is the way to go,” the member of the White House coronavirus task force said.

Every state and local politician who imposed lockdowns pursuant to the COVID-19 pandemic claimed their decisions were based on “the science.” In reality, they ignored the advice of leading epidemiologists, relying instead on statistical models produced by “experts” with histories of wildly inaccurate projections. The most notorious of these oracles was, of course, Neil Ferguson of Imperial College London, who claimed that coronavirus could kill 2.2 million Americans. Based on such apocalyptic predictions, combined with overcautious warnings from Beltway bureaucrats like Dr. Anthony Fauci, all but a few governors implemented economically destructive stay-at-home orders — despite the reservations of respected epidemiologists who questioned the logic of lockdowns from the beginning.

There are so many angles to the FBI-Michael Flynn imbroglio, and most have been covered in great depth across a divergent set of viewpoints. But one aspect that has not been covered, and that opens up a wider lens into FBI policy, is the fact that the FBI refuses to audiotape, much less videotape, interviews of witnesses or suspects such as Flynn. That policy is counterproductive and makes no sense in 2020. The FBI needs to take itself out of the J. Edgar Hoover era and align itself with modern law enforcement best practices.
