Republican Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy called the House Democrats’ latest attempt at coronavirus relief “dead as fried chicken.”
Kennedy explained his reasoning during a conversation with Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures.” Bartiromo asked Kennedy directly why he would say that the bill, which proposes another $3 trillion in relief spending, was “dead as fried chicken.”
“That’s $3 trillion,” Kennedy began, listing the zeros one by one for impact. “It’s not going to pass the Senate nor should it. My fellow Republicans in the Senate have tried to see things from the Speaker’s point of view, but we can’t get our heads that far up our rear ends,

No one makes a point quite like Sen. Kennedy. I love him! Of course. He is right about this monstrosity of a bill. It is nothing but a pork laden liberal wish list that will totally transform the country and not in a good way. The democrats are going all in on this and if you want to see what a democrat majority would look like just look at the blue states and see your future. Democrats are unable to govern responsibly but relish governing with an iron fist. All they know is bigger and more government interference in our lives. Sen. Kennedy is absolutely right about this bill. I just wish that more Republicans had the ability to communicate as well as he does. Nancy Pelosi is a ideological autocrat drunk with power. Nothing she offers is good for the country and working Americans.

Senator Kennedy is a national treasure. Frankly, I never thought I would say that in my lifetime! I grew up in an era of 3 Kennedy senators from MA and NY. Senator John Kennedy of LA makes so much sense and is a breath of fresh air.

Love listening to Kennedy! He has a folksy delivery filled with a combination of common sense and witty barbs. Reminds me of Mar Twain.

Once upon a time we had a brilliant form of limited government where the covenant of our consent was defined by our constitution and through the peoples representatives. But alas by turning to the tax code to crush any activity without the inconvenience and oversight of balanced powers, anything can be "outlawed" for all practical purposes. By playing word games and calling laws "regulations" and moving lawmaking from congress to executive branch controlled agencies making regulations, we have completely tilted what was a balance of power and circumvented the peoples representatives.
Now our government has demonstrated that it can change our economic system eradicating capitalism once and for all by a pincer movement shutting down wealth creation on one flank while printing money with no real wealth behind it on the other. That, if allowed to continue, asymptotically approaches the exact outcome of socialism.
Senator Kennedy, Bravo! These people know exactly what they are doing, for far too long it has been we the people suffering from a rectal cranial inversion.

The democrats don't need the presidency if they can get three trillion dollars in wasteful goodies out of the American taxpayers using a crisis as an excuse. Witnessing four or more states go under embarrassing water because of democrat greed, theft, waste and stupidity is going to be one of our greatest pleasures in the coming year or two. They deserve it.

Can we just clone Sen. Kennedy? Every state gets 2 of him!

I'm from Louisiana, and we couldn't be prouder of our Senator.
When you are his age and don't have lofty aspirations to move up the ladder, you can say what needs to be said.

A great role model for the Republican Party and congress. His wisdom and humor is priceless. It cuts through all the BS.

Kennedy does have a way with words! Maybe that's why Schiff is so bug-eyed! He's seen what's up Pelosi's rear end!
Democrats kill more people than any virus in history! They would use this pandemic to cause even more harm. Democrats are a clear and present danger!

0% interest on $24T in debt is a lot different than 30% interest on $27T in debt. That's $8.1T in interest payments alone folks. That will come about due to the inflation that will be coming from all the printed money being pumped into the economy. All our taxes paid will be going to pay for the interest on our debt. Say goodbye to the military, social security, medicare, medicaid and welfare. Get ready for $100 loaves of bread. In Weimar Republic Germany back in the 1930's people took money in wheel barrels to spend it as fast as possible because they knew it'd be worthless the next day from all the money that was being printed.

We'll eventually see how far Senate Republicans can get their heads up their rear ends. $3 trillion...how about $2.9 trillion? And a few of the most egregious ornaments will be cut from the Christmas tree with great ceremony. Be very afraid when Mitch says, "It's the best we can do. We can go back later and clean up the other stuff. The American people are suffering and need us to do something." It's coming. There's no screwing like a bi-partisan screwing.

Kennedy had to clean up the wording but we received the message. This was in the realm of the famous, "sign the bill to see what's in it" Pelosi style. There's no hiding anything it's all spend spend spend from the left. Pelosi came back to Washington from her ice cream castle to the tune of Jingle Bells Santa Clause is Coming to Town.

Senator Kennedy expresses accurately the measure sent over by Pelosi, and gave a very good summary of what is in that bill. Apparently, someone did read it.

The Democrats in Congress tried to perform a rectal craniotomy on their fellow Republicans. It did not work.
The Democrats wanted the national state of emergency, the shutdown, the social distancing, and all the other regulations. Its not sustainable, and the Democrats know it. Three trillion dollars? Where are you going to find it? It has to be paid for, and there is no way to do that. There is only one answer: The country must reopen. That's not what the democrats want, but that is reality. The democrats are being hit with one gigantic reality check, but they don't live in reality in the first place.

Thing is, because she wants so many things not related to the CV, her bill is actually a felony because she wants to give money to illegals in this bill. That is according to a ruling by the Supremes about 10 days ago.

To all those fence sitters (none here a Lucianne of course) if you didn't think the November election has consequences, think again. If God forbid, Democrats ever get power again, the House, Senate and Presidency, Nancy's legislation is exactly how this country will look and worse. If you have kids and/or grand kids and you love them, as Trump would say, then run screaming to the polls in November and vote straight Republican as odious as some of them might be. To vote Democrat or not vote at all, thereby voting Democrat, your life and that of generations to come will be a living Communist nightmare under China's boot.

The Pelosi Cabal didn't write this bill for legislation. They wrote it because they KNEW it wouldn't pass the Senate and they could then say ''Ah ha, ah ha!''

How about we add an amendment to the bill saying Pelosi personally pays for everything she proposes?
Wouldn’t it be grand to see her living in a cardboard box in the street with her constituents needles and feces?
She’d make the perfect homeless witch!

Like Poster #7, I'm from Louisiana (South) and I'm so happy he decided not to run for Governor, because we need him where he is. Unfortunately, by his not running, we got snookered with a sorry democrat in the Governors mansion.

We were hoping and praying he would run for Gov., but no. Besides Joe Burrow and the National Champion LSU Tigers and our food, we don't have a whole lot to be proud of and thankful for. Sen John Kennedy Is our GIFT to AMERICA. You are very welcome.

I love that man. He puts it right out there. He had better talk old Mitch into the same thing instead of tweaking her bill, which is what Nancy wants. We need to email the President and tell him to veto the bill.
