Deborah Birx, the physician advising the White House’s coronavirus task force, gave voice to a real concern earlier this month. She told officials from the Centers for Disease Control that some of its numbers on mortality and case count could be inflated by up to 25 percent. “There is nothing from the CDC that I can trust,” the Washington Post reported Birx saying.
We now know more about what she was talking about, since Colorado has become the first state to publish two different numbers. One number is derived using a definition mandated by the CDC, which issued guidelines on March 24 specifying that “COVID-19

An important driver here is that hospitals often don't get paid to look after individuals who come into the ER without family and die a few days later. However, if someone can suggest COVID-19 (true or not), the hospital gets paid at their full rate.

There is outright falsification going on. Trust me.

Birx made it clear more than once she does not trust the CDC stats. It sounds like the CDC is more corrupt than WHO.

If I remember correctly, the CDC was doing studies about why lesbians are fat, and treating guns like they were bacteria. They seem to have lost the idea that they were to study infectious diseases like tuberculosis, influenza, lyme disease, malaria and whatever else is caused by bacteria and viruses. If lesbians are fat and people are killed or wounded by guns that's bad, but those are not diseases.

The CDC guidelines were so bad that we may never know how many people actually died of this virus. Our medical agencies need a serious overhaul. My understanding, if the death certificated indicates COVID-19 the state receives more money. If this is true, maybe this is the reason that so many died in the nursing homes by the guidance of the democrat state on the handling of sick elderly COVID-19. Here I go again with some conspiracy theory. Maybe these states saw two money avenues by doing this to the elderly in nursing homes. 1) most of these residents were probably on MEDICAID (state funding); and 2) the state received more federal funds for each person that died of COVID-19. What a horrible thought.

i watched Chris 'Voice Of Doom' Wallace interview Governor Polis yesterday, and I was impressed by Polis and his ability to discuss risk, and how risk has to be balanced in any assessment.
Colorado will open schools in the Fall, 2020, and the Governor said some parents will keep their children home, which would benefit the other children in school - less crowding. I like that sort of thinking.
Voice of Doom Wallace seemed to be perplexed by the reasonableness of Governor Polis, who even spoke well of President Trump.
It was a good interview - informative - in spite of Wallace.

Who benefits from inflated numbers? Answer that question honestly and you will see why the original catastrophic estimates and current reported numbers are high. Another question, how important would it be if hospitals were not paid outrageous fees just for this bug? The medical, pharmaceutical and related insurance industry have been robbing us for years, Obamacare made this theft fashionable and there is no solution on the horizon as long as the government infighting and baseless attacks on Donald Trump continue. If we can get a breather and do it in a courageous way, it can easily be fixed because it's not as complicated as they make it. If the democrats somehow regain power, we will have much more to worry about than false medical crises and high bills.

No one knows. No one can know. There is too much money at stake. Every crisis, whether hurricanes, fires or this pandemic is ripe for corruption and the ''pain'' must be maximized. Just consider Pelosi's proposed grab bag.

I wouldn't know where to find real numbers if there are any at all. A hit and run bicycle death is classified a C-19 death.
When it became a Vietnam style 'body count' I knew where this was going. Why is this being done to us is anyone's guess but there is a motive for it. This is all to keep the fake numbers high to hurt President Trump, the economy and we the people and push this closer to November by democrats. I'm not optimistic anymore not in this bluest of blue states with a democrat governor.

I'm guesstimating no more than 40%, so like 35,000 at the outside that were true Wuhan virus victims, and 90+% of those will have had serious comorbidities.
And the first two weeks of lockdown and distancing did contribute -- but after that, nada.
