I think many of us feel the same way as Kristy, but I agree with Lloyd's analysis. God would not give us President Trump as President if He planned to take him away. BUT it is up to US to make sure he is re-elected! We took the opportunity for a new direction in 2016 and we need to keep it going in 2020.

I am suspicious of these “..I am a supporter but..” things because there is just so much darn fake news. Trump has weak Republican party leaders to work with, an evil lying media, Gates & WHO-controlled doctor bureaucrats and a treasonous opposition shutting down the entire nation. In the face of all that, his strength and resilience has bern absolutely remarkable. I will trust God and continue to show Him I do by supporting and praying for our God-fearing President.

Two factors at work. First the right course of action is far from clear -- the US daily death rates are stubbornly high (I had hoped for low hundreds a day now). In teh face of uncertainty, allowing others to make fools of themselves is good politics Second, no politician can enunciate the trade-off between an elderly persons death (a loss of ~1000 useful days) and shutting down young peoples lives (maybe a 10% degradation of the value of each day shut-in). Equally, no politician can come up with the trade-off between business activity lost vs a life lost (eg an estimate of $5 million per life). These calculations are required to formulate policy, but they can't be publicly acknowledged. Trump's political instincts are (as always!) brilliantly correct -- he will avoid damage to himself, and expose Democrat governors and mayors to the risk of political annihilation.

If you are concerned that your governor or mayor is making bad decisions, it is up to YOU to get him voted out of office. It is not up to the president to sweep in and overthrow state and local governments. Trump can provide guidance and encouragement. If dems choose to fight or ignore that guidance, it is up to people in the states to set things straight in the courts and eventually in the election box. It is great to have Trump as president and he has done a lot to help this Country but this Country belongs to the American People and it is up to US to elect leaders that do the right thing for us. Apathy eventually evokes a cost. That is what is happening now at a time of testing. Will we learn the right lesson? Some areas of the Country are obviously lost to the dems. They are crumbling and we need to let them. Only with the goad of hard failure will changes be made. The rest of us need to get on with our lives.

It is up to the people who put these abusers of the constitution in office to address this. It would be unconstitutional for the president to order governors to do or not do. Actions having to do with bill of rights should be addressed through courts and through pressure on governors and elected state reps first. Federal government can rule when case gets to federal level. If the state leaders/reps fail to respond to the will of the people of their state the state constitution has the means of redress. This usurpation of the peoples rights did not happen overnight and will take a hard, long, focused slog to remedy. Something most are unwilling to commit to. I would add the vetting, recruiting, developing, and selection, maintaining accountability of leaders for all positions in government is not a spectator sport. You get what you value enough to spend your time, energy and money to accomplish

President Trump works very hard for us. He has been on the job for less than 4 years. I do not expect him to know everything. That is why he relies on experts that are supposed to know about these things. Some times the experts are wrong. I will tell you one thing. After watching how the democratic Governors rule when they take and have power, there is no way I want them in power. I will take my chances on Trump no matter how bad things appear .

All the people available to Trump have been political allies, first, of the Liberals, Globally. So he's been cautious about how much of what they're telling him, is the truth. He is well aware that the left doesn't give a damn about the loss of life. That is only a weapon to use against Trump since he's ultimately in charge. Look at the states with the highest death tolls: All led by Democrats who in most cases implemented policies that directly contributed to the number of people infected. On top of that, they are padding the Corona death tolls with frivolous, "He has Corona antibodies in his blood, so it doesn't matter he has a bullet in his brain, he died by Coronavirus." Trump has to be careful because either way he jumps he will be blamed. I suspect he'd rather save lives, first.

The debate about “reopening the economy” is a phony debate. It’s phony because “the economy” isn’t shut down. Far from it. Walmart is still open. Dollar General is open. Amazon is open. Alibaba is open. It just so happens that the big-box mass merchandisers and online retailers responsible for flooding our country with crap from Communist China are open.

Post-virus America can be a decentralized, more accountable country in school, business, and government. My parents' generation, that of the War of 1939–45, looked forward to the peace with wistful ballads like "When They Sound the Last All Clear" and "When the Lights Come On Again." I doubt if our time will hear "When I Go Back to the Office Again" or "When We Go Back to School Again." After all, home confinement doesn't match spending nights in crowded basements or Tube stations during Luftwaffe bombings

Count me as one of a diminishing number of "coronavirus response" skeptics. My vantage point is that of a working-class person (service manager in an auto repair shop). My state of Virginia has joined the growing number of states that has ordered its citizens to remain in their homes except for essential reasons, and a shutdown of non-essential businesses until at least June 10th. The good news for me is that auto repair is classed as an essential service and I have enough diverse skills to make me the kind of employee who will be the last to be laid off.

Preparations are underway in the United States and the nations of Europe to celebrate Christmas as first and foremost a tribute to materialism. These increasingly agnostic and secular societies are choosing to ignore the existence of God as well as disdain for the moral and behavioral guidelines as established by Judea-Christian teachings. They are, as a substitute, placing more and more trust in man. The ultimate consequence for a society that chooses this misguided reliance and the reality of God's outstretched helping hand is embodied in the story of a young boy from the streets of a nameless city in an unknown country.

It is the inevitable nature of revolutions that they enter a point of hysteria when, like Saturn, they turn on themselves and devour their own children. While the hysteria of the current aspiring revolutionaries, or “power grabbers,” to use Ilhan Omar’s own words, is not yet at the stage where anyone is being carted off to the guillotine or sent to the gulag, the new face of the Democratic Party is devouring its parents. Its children are yet to come.

The Trump administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been an ‘absolute chaotic disaster,’ former President Barack Obama said on Friday. President Trump’s predecessor blamed the current occupant of the Oval Office and his allies for exacerbating ‘tribal’ tensions around the country, which he says has hampered the effort to reduce total number of cases nationwide. Audio of the web call in which Obama spoke was obtained by Yahoo News. ‘What we’re fighting against is these long-term trends in which being selfish, being tribal, being divided, and seeing others as an enemy - that has become a stronger impulse in American life,’ the president said.
