Kristy at #Reopen USA posted the following:
“Anyone else feeling like Trump is behaving a bit weak in all this? It's just a question don't attack, I've been a supporter from day one, and continue to be, but I'm surprised at how he is handling the re-opening of the country. Some of these Governors are blowing it big time, and it seems like he doesn't have any tricks up his sleeve, and is kind of supporting the way they are going about it. Just curious what everyone's take is, I wish he was advising with a more diverse group of people. Thoughts?”

I am suspicious of these “..I am a supporter but..” things because there is just so much darn fake news. Trump has weak Republican party leaders to work with, an evil lying media, Gates & WHO-controlled doctor bureaucrats and a treasonous opposition shutting down the entire nation. In the face of all that, his strength and resilience has bern absolutely remarkable. I will trust God and continue to show Him I do by supporting and praying for our God-fearing President.

Two factors at work.
First the right course of action is far from clear -- the US daily death rates are stubbornly high (I had hoped for low hundreds a day now). In teh face of uncertainty, allowing others to make fools of themselves is good politics
Second, no politician can enunciate the trade-off between an elderly persons death (a loss of ~1000 useful days) and shutting down young peoples lives (maybe a 10% degradation of the value of each day shut-in). Equally, no politician can come up with the trade-off between business activity lost vs a life lost (eg an estimate of $5 million per life). These calculations are required to formulate policy, but they can't be publicly acknowledged.
Trump's political instincts are (as always!) brilliantly correct -- he will avoid damage to himself, and expose Democrat governors and mayors to the risk of political annihilation.

POTUS is simply giving the Commie/Fascist/Socialist/Democraps enough Rope to Hang Themselves with.
If the two biggest JirkWards keep it up, CA/NY may just go GOP this Nov.
Wouldn't that be a Hoot........

If you are concerned that your governor or mayor is making bad decisions, it is up to YOU to get him voted out of office. It is not up to the president to sweep in and overthrow state and local governments. Trump can provide guidance and encouragement. If dems choose to fight or ignore that guidance, it is up to people in the states to set things straight in the courts and eventually in the election box.
It is great to have Trump as president and he has done a lot to help this Country but this Country belongs to the American People and it is up to US to elect leaders that do the right thing for us. Apathy eventually evokes a cost. That is what is happening now at a time of testing. Will we learn the right lesson? Some areas of the Country are obviously lost to the dems. They are crumbling and we need to let them. Only with the goad of hard failure will changes be made.
The rest of us need to get on with our lives.

What the hell does this have to do with anything? Sounds like a concern troll.

It is up to the people who put these abusers of the constitution in office to address this. It would be unconstitutional for the president to order governors to do or not do. Actions having to do with bill of rights should be addressed through courts and through pressure on governors and elected state reps first. Federal government can rule when case gets to federal level.
If the state leaders/reps fail to respond to the will of the people of their state the state constitution has the means of redress. This usurpation of the peoples rights did not happen overnight and will take a hard, long, focused slog to remedy. Something most are unwilling to commit to.
I would add the vetting, recruiting, developing, and selection, maintaining accountability of leaders for all positions in government is not a spectator sport. You get what you value enough to spend your time, energy and money to accomplish

President Trump works very hard for us. He has been on the job for less than 4 years. I do not expect him to know everything. That is why he relies on experts that are supposed to know about these things. Some times the experts are wrong. I will tell you one thing. After watching how the democratic Governors rule when they take and have power, there is no way I want them in power. I will take my chances on Trump no matter how bad things appear .

All the people available to Trump have been political allies, first, of the Liberals, Globally. So he's been cautious about how much of what they're telling him, is the truth. He is well aware that the left doesn't give a damn about the loss of life. That is only a weapon to use against Trump since he's ultimately in charge. Look at the states with the highest death tolls: All led by Democrats who in most cases implemented policies that directly contributed to the number of people infected. On top of that, they are padding the Corona death tolls with frivolous, "He has Corona antibodies in his blood, so it doesn't matter he has a bullet in his brain, he died by Coronavirus."
Trump has to be careful because either way he jumps he will be blamed. I suspect he'd rather save lives, first.

I think many of us feel the same way as Kristy, but I agree with Lloyd's analysis. God would not give us President Trump as President if He planned to take him away. BUT it is up to US to make sure he is re-elected! We took the opportunity for a new direction in 2016 and we need to keep it going in 2020.
