If there was any doubt that Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was Target Zero in the Russia Collision conspiracy or that President Barack Obama was an active co-conspirator, presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway put those doubts to bed last week. (snip) Flynn almost assuredly became Target Zero for his willingness to expose and undo what Obama considered his signature foreign policy achievement, the Iran nuclear deal. Obama may have suspected that the deal was fatally flawed, but there was one thing he knew, namely that the deal was built on a framework of lies and deceptions.

The one that I pray every day to see get nailed for this is the great one..... Obama. I want his people to turn on him like hungry rats to save themselves. I want Flynn to sue him for everything his has and will have. Then and only then, I will be satisfied.

When you have a known traitor as Secretary of State and a President who dislikes the country he leads you are bound to get traitorous actions.
That is what the Iran deal was.,from the money sent there illegally to the phony treaty that was signed.
When I see what the Democrats got away with and then see them trying to impeach Trump,it angers me immensely.

This article shows Colin Powell as the leftist lackey he really is. Portraying himself as a republican has been one of the greatest deceptions in recent history. Over several administrations this guy has mucked up the works, but has inexplicably been hailed as some great soldier-statesman. But, what do you expect from the guy who wrote the memo covering up the My Lai massacre. Just go out to the Hamptons with your buddies, Colin. It's what you always wanted anyway.

Excellent article. I read everything by Jack Cashill. He does his research and tells the truth. The swamp creatures are being exposed. Hope they end up in jail.

It is fitting and proper to call it "obama's Russia collusion". It all started at the top level.

I often wonder if Flynn had not been the first victim of the Russia-Russia scam would he have been so gullible in thinking that he was dealing with an honest FBI? He should not only be pardoned but he should be given the deed to Barack's property on Martha's Vineyard to compensate him for his financial losses. Barack will be in prison and the Mooch has other homes. The girls can live with their real parents.

Flynn was played because his weaknesses were well known to the Obama administration. I suspect Powell's description is closer to the truth than some care to believe or admit. He was an important man, you know. He spoke truth to power and was cashiered for his honesty, a whistleblower of sorts.
Flynn got himself caught in his hubris. Who talks to FBI agents with no agenda or cousel, or at least a witness, based on a phone call? Try calling to set one up for yourself...just a friendly kaffeklatsch to clear up some informational needs. And this guy is a Washington-wise fellow you want in charge of your National Security apparatus? In uniform he'd have had a cadre of staff present if he was being interviewed by the base IG about some misplaced copier paper.

#11, I generally enjoy your insightful comments, but you seem to have a burr under your saddle when it comes to the subject of Flynn. Yes, he lied. And yes, he admitted under oath that he lied.
But no, I don't take that as the end of the discussion. There's the very pertinent question of why did he do it. Let's put the question to you. If you had been in the same situation and not sitting comfortably at your keyboard, are you absolutely certain you would have ignored the fact you were being drained of your bank account, losing your home, losing your job, threatened with jail time, and having your totally innocent son about to be drawn through the same destructive interrogations unless you accepted their (falsely constructed) "plea deal" (as recommendedby your weasel lawyers)?
It's a lot easier being absolutely principled when you're sipping coffee comfortably at home.

#10 - Now I'm #11...and I suppose you posed your question to me.
My "burr" with Flynn's case is this:
1) A retired Army Lieutenant General who was well-experienced in the way of Washington and fully knowledgeable of its politics, accepts a phone call from the FBI for an appointment to clear up some undefined info they had, advised he didn't need counsel. He failed to clear/report it to the Trump transition team.
2) In that conversation with the agents, he "lies" to them about his conversation with the Russian ambassador. At some point, one would think, suspicion might creep into his mind about the purpose of the interview, and he might have decided to terminate. No, he continued...mindlessly?
3) He was later interviewed by Mike Pence and here the story takes another turn. Originally, Pence was sure enough Flynn lied to HIM to support the general's dismissal from the Trump team. When Flynn "resigned" he said he had “inadvertently briefed the vice president-elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian ambassador.” Now, the VP is saying he was “inclined to believe” that the so-called FALSE statements Flynn had made to him were “unintentional.” More slips of the lip or bad memory. So, what's going on here? Pence make a serious mistake in judgement? Covering his own?
4) Flynn signed a guilty plea memo under oath. In that plea statement Flynn swore that "I make this statement knowingly and voluntarily and because I am, in fact, guilty of the crime charged. No threats have been made to me nor am I under the influence of anything that could impede my ability to understand this Statement of the Offense fully. " So, truthful, or not? Perjury?
I could go on...the bottom line is that Flynn proved another celebrity general with clay feet, no more, no less. He is becoming a well-crafted cause célèbre, having largely woven his own entrapping web. Yes, he was shafted by the FBI...and "resigned" for Trump with Pence's participation. Return him to the Trump Administration...really?
What would I have done? First off, not talk to the FBI or anyone else without a full understanding of the agenda and with counsel, and the knowledge of my superior. That violates a cardinal rule in government. (I base that on having been around a little myself in a past life.) Afterwards, certainly not rolled over. I would not plead guilty to a crime I did not commit facing certain jail time, nor would I do so to protect my son/daughter from prosecution, either. This is supposed to be a "tough guy", an incorruptible keeper of national secrets...and he folded to this extortion. He was an apparent victim of hubris.

I already knew the Iran nuclear deal was built on lies and deception, and $2B of cash delivered into the desert. I didn't need Flynn for that. My thought is that Flynn knew what the Deep State had been doing, spying on and trying to overthrow the Trump campaign and then the presidency, and was going to expose them. The Deep State's fears were guilt and paranoia, because Flynn has been very quiet about everything for 3 years, so I think his danger to the Deep State was overestimated.
