The unsealing last week of a series of documents in the Michael Flynn criminal case cemented the reality that a small cadre of high-level FBI agents set a perjury trap for President Trump’s then-national security advisor. Beyond exposing the depth of this despicable personal and political hit job on a 30-year military veteran, the newly discovered documents hold great legal significance. Here’s your legal primer.
The Russiagate special counsel’s office charged Flynn with violating 18 U. S. C. § 1001, which makes it a federal crime to “knowingly and willfully” make a false statement of “a material fact” to a federal official. Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team claimed Flynn

Everything that came out of the O'biden-bama administration was a media propagated illusion representing outright lies. They were very successful with their damage to our economy; race relations; foreign policy; military, and the list goes on. In addition to the 'scandal free' show that brought us fast and furious, expansion of domestic Islamic terrorism, etc. we now have a blatant act of treason using a decorated hero as the scapegoat. Will there be any accountability?

Thanks to #1 for pointing out the best parts of the Obama administration, it goes downhill from there to arming ISIS, helping "death to America" Iran become a nuclear power arming the Mexican drug cartels...
Is there a single part of the Federal government that Obama didn't politicize and weaponize? The IRS scandal should have been enough but that was just the forward in the book of scandals.

They used Gen. Flynn, whom they sensed would be easy to fool due to Obama administrations earlier contact with him, and that he'd be "honorable", I believe.
They needed another link to keep the Russian collusion story going, and since they had the leaked phone calls, during the transition, in December 2016, it became clear they targeted Gen. Flynn once the new administration was Inaugurated.
But the plot was hatched and planned prior to Trump becoming the 45th President of the United States.
While many on the Left will be okay with such an attack simply because they don't like Trump, but I believe most people would find it hard to ignore one administration spied on a political opponent during the campaign, during the transition, and then many of the hold-overs attacked The Office of the President of the United States. This was done without ANY actual evidence, and continued when they KNEW there wasn't any Russian collusion in the Trump campaign, or administration.
I'm trusting that AG Barr, and Durham know this, and have indictments coming soon. Comey should be a slam dunk, since he admitted to much of the scheme, which constitutes a conspiracy.

The cretins whose apparent drive to disrupt, and without offering productive alternatives may be without limits. Far too many specific examples to mention (and it may be a waste of my time anyway), but in order to grasp it all, to rationally evaluate it all, and to determine as individuals what (if any) our role in this grossly anti-American maelstrom really is.
Liken our current situation to what we faced prior to and during the early stages of our break-away from British tyranny (today's tyranny is of our own domestic enemies). The Patriots response to chose life free from governmental edicts ( taxation comes to mind) and to give it their all, and it WORKED !!!
Are we at the same point of our heroic ancestors?

Anyone who expects judge Algonquin J. Sullivan to do the right thing - - is delusional. Algonquin J. is a leftist demonrat hack - - who will toe the leftist line for fear of losing his cushy pension.
Flynn's case will be thrown out only if it's taken to an appeals court - - one with a lot of Trump appointees on it.

I don't think it started with obama. I think weaponizing the government started with the Clinton's years.
Then W, in the interest of going along to get along & reaching across the aisle, kept them all in place.
obama came along & put even more in place.
It's no wonder things are as bad as they are, but it still surprised me.

Jail is too good for these corrupt FBI officials. I say give them the Plains Indian treatment of long ago. Stake them on an ant hill, cut slits into them so blood starts running, then leave them there until they're skeletonized, then make a display of them in FBI/DOJ/Intel main corridors as an incentive for no one to do it again.

Remember Obama claiming that the root in America was from its beginning?
That is called 'projection'.
From the beginning, the 'Democratic Republicans', the Democrat's old name were conniving to enslave America. They were a little distracted by having slaves back then, but they never, ever considered the rest of us as anything more than 'potential slaves'.
You dont write laws to protect your property from yourself.

Obama was, in effect, "Patient Zero" of the anti-American virus set loose from the leftist lab we call the Democrat Party. He was a perfectly designed virus for fundamentally transforming America. Disguised as a clearn, articulate actually-African-not-so-American, he looked and sounded like the perfect organism to finally heal America of its (falsely asserted) racism. Instead he was designed and personally committed to destroying it. Stealthily in the open. Smiling broadly as he did it. Completely in contradiction to every platitude he was scripted to beautifully say. If he had more goofy ears sticking out all over his body, he'd actually look like the coronavirus.
And like any deadly virus, he transmitted his stealth mission to many, many waiting and receptive hosts. They didn't need any orders. They got the transmission. It was viral go-time. And they spread exponentially through every single government agency where the deep state hosts had been incubating for so long.
Until the one and only antidote arrived...Trump. Anecdotal or not, he's the hydroxychloroquinine that knocks the snot out of anti-American viruses. Tastes terrible. But it works. Trump HCQ. Use it.

We knew what to expect from Obama, Jarrett, Holder and that whole happy family, the intelligence agencies have always been shady, but I never thought I would see the FBI disgrace itself so badly. The people who attacked Flynn are thuggish criminals and not very bright since they so easily got caught. If Hannity can't get his 99% of the good guys to replace the rotten layer on top, they will all be unemployed. At this point the American people are better off without federal unelected law enforcement. The newbies at Quantico have nothing good to emulate.

The FBI was, and still is, awash with cancerous corruption and power mad bureaucrats. I am sure there are many fine agents who are honestly trying to do their jobs, but at the top the whole organization has a terrible stench. Wray has not even attempted to fix it. He fit right in. That kind of unchecked power is dangerous and scary. If Trump wants to drain the swamp, start here where real lives are at stake. Praying that Barr has the nerve and intestinal fortitude to make it happen.

#6. Every administration has corruption and some abuses of power. That is why we have the Congress and SCOTUS to hold them accountable.
But, there as Never an Administration allowed to tear up the Constitution and set it on fire, like Obama's did.

If the FBI comes a-knocking, don't answer any of their questions. Period. People speaking in good faith can be made to be seen as liars. And the FBI agents who do that to an innocent person are foot loose and fancy free; they don't get punished.
We Americans treat MURDERERS with more respect than the FBI treated Flynn.

Peter Strozck was/is one sick dude: "Describe the feeling, nervousness, excitement knowing we had just heard him denying it all. Knowing we’d have to pivot into asking. Puzzle round and round about it. Talk about the funny details. Remember what I said that made Andy [McCabe] laugh and ask if he really said that,” Strzok texted his mistress, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, as he left the White House after questioning Flynn.

Flynn lied:
To those entrapping FBI agents;
To Mike Pence, getting himself dismissed;
To the Court with his guilty plea, where he attested under oath, "I make this statement knowingly and voluntarily and because I am, in fact, guilty of the crime charged. No threats have been made to me nor am I under the influence of anything that could impede my ability to understand this Statement of the Offense fully."
Take your pick of any one you like. The result is the same . He lied.
Or, you can start with Pence lied to Trump after his interview with Flynn as CYA...or now make that Pence possibly erred after Flynn "inadvertently misinformed" him regarding his conversation with the Russian ambassador.
Flynn was the victim of his own hubris. He is a liar...one way or another.

What worries me most about this whole corruption mess regarding the FBI and maybe the DOJ/congress is that the 'you know what' always rolls down hill. All the precedents that Mueller and posse have set will be attempted by some local or state DA/AG, eager to make their political mark and go to DC.

The democrat cabal is not going to roll over just because these documents have been released. It has already started, the narrative has begun. Unless the DOJ goes after the cabal with vigor and determination, this may turn out to be another huge disappointment. Frankly, I do not know if AG Barr wants to pull on this thread because to do so may result in the unraveling that will go all the way to the very top. Do you pursue this knowing it very well may destroy two premier law enforcement agencies? Of course, those of us who live outside the beltway believe this is an easy decision. However, those who have lived and worked in DC their whole careers will want to protect these agencies. They must do the right thing. Americans know too much and no amount of legalese is going to absolve these criminals of conspiracy. One thing will be decided, are we a nation of laws founded upon the principle that no one is above the law or will the realization come to pass that justice is an illusion.

#12, the FBI works for the DOJ, who works for the President. PDT needs to fire Wray, an obvious deep stater who hasn't done squat to clean up the Bureau. After that, he should encourage Barr to launch numerous indictments. He should justify these actions by citing the exculpatory evidence in the Flynn case that the FBI kept "classified," their blatant misuse of the FISA process and outright lies to the FISA court, and their stonewalling of repeated congressional requests for many pertinent documents.
