Michigan has a tyrant as well.. although she has gone rogue. May 1st- was by many declared freedom day. April 30 at midnight, the legislature did not give her approval for extending lock down. Her EO at 11pm extending at home to May 28- is illegal. Business is opening in spite of her EO.. Oregon better start marching in defiance of over reaching tyranny.

Our politicians have done more damage to this economy in 60 days than any German or Japanese were able to inflict in 5 years of world war. Most of the transmission of disease occurs in healthcare environments, hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, dental offices, etc., where they treat the sick and weak. So why are we prescribing those prevention policies to the rest of society? And no end in sight for when those policies might be lifted.

I am so glad I live in a free(r) state. As far as I know the fuzz haven't hassled anyone here and people go about their business unimpeded. Not many businesses open anymore, but we come and go as we please. Could it have something to do with a governor with some sense, and constitutional carry? Maybe.

The good citizens of Oregon need to be asking when, exactly, they gave the guv this authority. And if they didn't, well, that means the armed thugs employed by said guv had better remember the Nuremberg trials and what happened to those who claimed, "Ve ver yost followink orders". Plus they ought to be climbing on the backs of their legislators to shut this clown guv down, regardless if they gave her the power.

Isn't it always libs who wail about right wingers becoming dictators and tyrants. Everything they know is wrong. What worries me most is what they'll do when their requests for Fed bailouts fail. Sales tax is not coming in. They will use these newfound powers to enact "emergency taxes".

OK... conservative republicans and decent thinking independents... are you awake yet? The democrats are running full bore their 2020 election campaign... THIS WAY! They intend to lock down the country through the summer if they can... purpose, mail-in ballots in all 50 states - this is their ploy for Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Maine etc where they can steal the election, like they did in California districts with ballot harvesting in 2018. You do realize, this virus is and has been a gold mine for the democrats to illegally wrest power back and simply implement socialism - we've all been on a trial run and they found out how easy it was to take our freedoms. Did you see in Maine the fella that told the world (through Tucker Carlson) that he was going to defy the governor's order and reopen his huge restaurant... they came in today and pulled his liquor license and food licence through ATF and health department - initially, he balked, but he gave up, forced into submission - welcome to the USSA, on a barren streetcorner near you, beginning in February 2021.

Another Marie Antoinette tyrant. You Oregonians certainly can do better than this megalomaniac in November. 104 deaths out of 4 million population? The current situation represents a great learning opportunity about the difference between democrat and republican leadership. Although the hard-core partisans will accept the loss of constitutional rights, I feel that a significant number might awaken to see the danger that democrats bring to our American traditions and quality of life. I know this can happen to those capable of clear thinking--I was a democrat at one point in my life.

The Covid-19 lockdown gravely threatens New York City’s vast and indispensable restaurant industry. But while some of our 26,000 eateries won’t return, and some owners face economic ruin, it by no means follows that we’ll be left with nowhere to eat—or that new places will be inferior to old ones.No other business is as tightly woven into the urban fabric as restaurants. When that failed, the plot twisted to destroying a duly elected president through leaks, innuendo, and outright lies. This was not simply a few rogue FBI or DOJ agents taking justice into their own hands. Instead a plot of this magnitude had the blessing of the big boss, the capo di tutti capi, as the Mafia like to say, the boss of all bosses, President Barack Hussein Obama. Hence the name ObamaGate.

The ruling by the nation’s highest court Thursday upholds the law. The Supreme Court not only vacated the appeals court’s decision but also criticized the judges for “drastically” straying from judicial norms.
