Ohio’s stay-at-home order is being extended through the end of May, impacting Memorial Day weekend throughout the state.
The state’s stay-at-home order — first issued by Gov. Mike DeWine and health officials on March 22 — was set to expire late Thursday, but DeWine said during his daily coronavirus briefing it would be extended with exceptions for certain businesses.
“When retail opens up, that certainly will be a major exception for that,” DeWine told reporters, WCMH reports. “Certainly it’s an exception in just few days when manufacturing and other companies are allowed to start back so, it will be extended.”
DeWine didn’t indicate the duration of the extension Thursday,

This is even worse if possible than Obama's closing down the War Memorials in DC to the veterans who want to visit them. Vile, VILE governors.

#2- If memory hasn’t failed, at some point during the Ohio’s coronavirus precautions, Governor DeWine said something to the effect that he defers to Dr. Amy Acton (Ohio Health Director) for direction on health issues. Considering to what extent Dr. Acton has been able to exercise her authority, it may be appropriate to keep in mind that she has a background of having worked on the 2008 Obama presidential campaign and is, if Internet research is correct, a registered Democrat in the state of Ohio. If Democrats are determined to keep this country shut down to damage the economy and undermine President Trump’s chances for a second term, it may not be unreasonable to consider the possibility there may be some Democrat “directives” going out to states with Democrat governors as well as to Democrats, if any, holding key positions in states with Republican governors.

The stay at home order is issued from an exec agency. It is of dubious ohio constitution validity. The law that empowers acton is limitless...ane the supremes have found similar laws to be federally unconstitutional. ACLU, where are you?

This whole strategy of letting governors decide when they can let their subjects live again started with Trump. First, no governor of any state has the authority to do some of the things these governors are doing. Trump should have added when giving these governors the authority to shut down their states, that these shutdowns must conform to the U.S. Constitution. By not doing so, so many of these governors have gone into dictator mode with no one in authority to stop them. It's now up to the people to end this, even if by doing so, it involves the threat of violence. The Fed (Barr) needs to step in immediately and set these governors straight.

#6, DeWine is a republican by name only. He is your typical RINO like Governor Hogan of Maryland. The anger is not going to be directed at Trump. Why? Because President Trump opened the U.S. and asked the governors to follow,. Now, Trump has directed the Justice Department to take action against any governor that is placing unrealistic restrictions, etc. Also, Alto is reviewing cases that are filed with the U.S. Supreme Court for immediate review of these governors. We are not anger at Trump, we are furious at our liberal, vicious governors.

I was so ticked at this. Oh, wow, Friday we could go to the dentist and next week a few people will be allowed to go back to work in offices. We citizens will still be illegally confined to our homes. I talked to our local Ohio state representative who told me that DeWine had be very disrespectful to the legislature. They are reconvening next week and he said the GOP had plans to push back on the lock down. This is no longer a medical & public health issue but has turned into a coup of the sneakiest kind. The emergency is now a constitutional challenge and an economic disaster. The whole premise of the lock down was iffy but tolerable in a nationwide medical emergency dealing with no facts about the pathogen. Some people expected the emergency part to be short - less than a month (it should have been 2 weeks). The so called models proved to be garbage and thus within a matter of weeks the lock down should have ended. Now the governments have changed their excuses. First it was to lower the curve in order to get the hospitals ready with PPE etc. Note that the model predicted the same # of people would be getting sick and maybe dying - it would just take longer and be a slower, more manageable rate. Now the excuse is, even tho' the reality is showing fewer infections - people are still getting sick - the goal has changed into 'stopping' the virus - we must not take risks - blah, blah, blah.

DeWine is all about DeWine, period.....! He has not changed since his gang of eight days in the Senate.
Acton made a 'guestimate' (her words) about the extent of spread in Ohio when she ordered the State shut down. BTW, why does she have that power?
Who knows if she's done a good job. All the numbers are cooked and point everywhere..all the time. Correlation is not Causation. He resume' is stellar, but its hard to find any info on her about actually PRACTICING medicine! You know being a Doctor. And this disease does not appear to be particularly targeting children, which is where her clinical experience, if she has any, would appear to have originated from.
Lots of info about fundraising and allocating funds for a liberal foundation in Columbus, or teaching young Doctors how to do what it appears she has never done! It doesn't matter to me, that she's moved 17 times or lived in a tent in Youngstown ...... although I don't think anyone escapes that kind of childhood without issues that 'could' influence their decision making.
What bothers me if that we are being blinded by Science. In Ohio, and Nationally. Instead of just saying....we really don't know, and the data is so off that it is useless, Ohio is the poster child for the destruction of the World's economy. The consequences of which, will be much greater than living in a tent for winter!
Maybe her mandated actions flattened the curve...maybe not (time will tell). Either way, its time to get our Society out of their houses and let Freedom, Democracy, and Commerce resume. It's time. And in Ohio, we'll do it anyway!

#12 - I take exception to your assertion that Maryland's Gov. Hogan is "your typical RINO". He is NOT typical in that he doesn't even bother to voice any weak opposition to the Dems, generally careful not to endorse, either. Hogan is a Dempublican. The GOPers in Maryland have little choice but to stand and sing in his choir, praising his skill as a "unifier". Watch for him later this year...as November approaches.

#13- Indeed, laughing and relishing every moment of schemes to destroy President Trump which, most assuredly, includes the economy. In Revelation 12:10-11, it is written, “...for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God...” The explanation is, “Human accusers echo the accusations of the accuser, Satan. The condemnation of Satan means condemnation for all who serve his purposes, whether intentionally or unintentionally.” The evil that has been perpetrated against President Trump, his family, and other individuals, as a means of denigrating and trying to destroy President Trump, is beyond comprehension so it stands to reason that such malice has to be borne of an evil force.

Leftists may thinks that they are damaging President Trump by keeping their citizens under house arrest, but they are actually digging their own political graves. In addition to seeing favorite restaurants and shops declare bankruptcy and close forever, the people of these states will NOT forget not being able to honor members of the military on Memorial Day thanks to the overreaching edicts of a bunch of tyrannical leftist governors!!
