The veteran subway operator says she witnessed a homeless man openly “defecating” on a 2 train Monday—a sign the homeless have “taken over” the subway system during the coronavirus pandemic. Angelina Malave, 46, who missed a month of work after catching the virus, said the sight of the man—kicked back on a subway bench with his legs raised in the air over his head so his full rear-end is in view—was “one of the worst things I’ve seen in my 18 years as a train operator.”(Snip) At 3 a.m., when she starts her shift, all 10 train cars are occupied by vagrants,

Remind me why any American should care what happens to that armpit, let alone pay for it. Lets add San Francisco to that question. They caused it, yet they want our pity and money but still wont fix it.

Democrats strive for utopia, but their dysfunctional policies always result in DYSTOPIA . . . NYC, Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, SF, etc. etc. etc.

I used to work in Downtown LA and I saw lots of things. I could shut it out of my conscious mind almost immediately. It was just like I gave my head a sharp little shake and said "eyes straight ahead, no look back, it's over. For that distortion of my conscious mind, I'm sure I'm paying the price in all sorts of neuroses.

Well, Bill & Andy should do something about the homeless instead of hiding them in trains, subways, etc. No person in their right mind would want to visit this city or any city after this crisis of there own making.

People do what you let them. If the operators were allowed to taze them right then and there, it would stop.

The real solution is bear spray, or a billy club for some training for these animals.

This story is a perfect example of how different New York City is from the rest of America, that is until you get to the big leftist and liberal Democrat run West Coast Cities.
The section of New York City hardest hit by the COVID-19 virus is Queens, a very population dense area of over a million people, the population of which is over 50% foreign born, with over 25% of those foreign born people being of Asian decent. With such a huge foreign origin population it is common sense that a good portion of that population group is going to engage in international travel. Also located in Queens is Kennedy International Airport with a abundance of arriving international flights from all parts of the world. chances are it did not take very many people who reside in, or who passed through Queens, when they returned from the Chinese New Year celebrations in China, or from vacations in Europe, to quickly seed the Queens area with the highly contagious and deadly virus. There was no way to stop that from happening once the Communist Government of China, while knowing that the virus was very contagious and deadly, while keeping those important facts secret, allowed large numbers of international flights carrying a good percentage of virus carriers to travel to all points in the world. In January President Trump banned all foreign persons who had been in China within the last 14 days from entering the USA under provisions of the immigration laws, but Trump could not stop large numbers of returning US citizens from re-entering the USA, because he lacked the legal authority to do so, as US citizens are exempt from the immigration laws and can come and go from the USA as they wish.

if NYC was ordered to stay home by both de Blasio and Saint Cuomo, why are the subway trains still running?
It didn't take long for NYC to become San Francisco, did it? Elect a demonrat and this is what your vote gave you. Enjoy it NYC dwellers. You too can crap in the subways now to your heart's content. Show the DNC your jackboot love and comply. Use the taxis and Ubers too.

Not surprised. I've seen the same in Hawaii, where the homeless were defecating in the sidewalk next to the parking meter. In broad daylight during peak traffic hours!

Damn shame.
No surprise though; there's one thing at the top of the list that pretty much all ruined American big cities have in common.
I used to love visiting Manhattan. Could scarcely wait to get back.
Now, the big apple is giving San Franfeces a bad name. Damn shame about that city too.

Dystopia now: why bother to run the trains if they're nothing but incredibly expensive rolling lounges for the homeless? Nice symmetry on the train number too.
