Shortly before the start of Friday’s coronavirus task force briefing, the White House tried to move a CNN reporter from their assigned seat in the front row to the rear of the Brady Briefing Room, prompting a revolt by reporters who made the administration back down.(Photo) CNN’s Kaitlan Collins was told to swap seats with print pooler Chris Johnson with the Washington Blade. The White House Correspondents’ Association assigns seats and access to reporters. Over the years, the Trump administration has tried to assert control over who attends the briefings with mixed results. Most recently, the administration intervened to bring OANN reporter

I think it is risky for President Trump to do these in person. They have already had a CCP "journalist" that made it into the room - that could have been a CoVid infection Trojan Horse. Put the "journalists" all in a room with a microphone, and do it all by video. Then it doesn't matter where they sit. Let the "journalists" fight it out.

If the reporters want a real story, why don't that go ask Rapey Joe Biden why he felt compelled to stick his hand into the private parts of a staffer?

Ohhh, boo-freaking hoo...so instead of moving that Commie News Network to the back row, just shut them all out of the conference, let the President speak to us deplorables/commoners without interpretation from biased newsjerks and get on with life...

It's not THEIR space , it's a space that we , as Americans , own. That doesn't include most of the press corps since they are anti-American, at best.

If you watched last night, Trump did not take any questions from the press. He walked out on them.

Obama moved Fox to a separate room & spied on Rosen & his family. Did the WH press object?

If I were the President, I'd now only answer questions from CNN, the rest of the press corps think CNN is so special.

Let the reporters sit wherever they wish, just don't call on them.

No more msm, period. I've kicked them out of my space. Kick them all out of yours Mr. President. They are a far worse pestilence than the virus.

Pull their WH access pass if they don't follow orders. It really isn't that hard.
What will CNN do.....print false and unflattering stories? LOL! They do that already, every day.

It is a real stretch to call them news reporters.

If they refuse to move, boot them. I know this has been said and is general knowledge for us, but the press room is not the property of the Press. It still belongs to the WH. Trump can have whoever he wants at his pressers, and the Media needs to figure that out. Or better yet, just shut down the pressers, or make them pre-approved invite only. The media has no rights to be there, I don't give a flying fig what some judge has to say about it.

All PDT has to do is refrain from calling on anyone from CNNMSNBCABCNBCCBS. There is OAN, or FOX or a number of other news organizations that will ask questions politely and report fairly, without the bias spin. PDT and his team can invite them, it's his press conference.

I support getting rid of the WH press corp. The WH can speak with us directly. The WH press corp is obsolete.

Fire the puss who backed down. And next time these clowns act up, send them packing. No more press briefings until you act like professionals (yeah, right).

So she wouldn't move, and so President Trump didn't take any questions. How is that a "win" for those reporters in any way?
Personally, I wish he would just have these briefings directly to a camera where the American people can see and hear him and form their own opinions. Those reporters are biased hacks, and don't deserve a seat anywhere in the same room with this great American leader!!!!!
After kissing Ovomit's butt for 8 years, I guess they don't have a clue what being a non-biased reporter is like!!!!!

When President Trump yesterday decided not to take anymore hostile questions from the fake news reporters who heavily populate the so-called “White House Press Corps”, and walked out of the room after saying his piece, Trump essentially took the grandstanding opportunities away from those hostile press corps operatives, and made them irrelevant. That was the way for Trump to go, along with a lot of town hall style TV appearances in the evenings.

Here's a thought. Why not make it a policy to rotate the seats? It's fair, and it's simple.

Have every White House Reporter Apply for a Security Clearance and Pass a Drug Test.
There will be room for Social Distancing and none of the troublemakers will not qualify

Simple solution is to do away with the question and answer portion. These pompous windbags aren’t true journalists. They are Dem operatives posers! The helicopter press conferences were the best. No cameras on the fake news persons!

Next step is to be banned altogether and Jim Acosta has already had his 30-day absence. Do not badger Donald Trump, especially if you are CNN.

Resort to exclusive daily video press briefings until their professional conduct is restored. However, their behavior may never change if there is any truth in, "Can't fix STUPID".

I was hoping for an overly enthusiastic security response. Chairs toppled, reporters spreadeagled on the floor. That sort of thing. The current corpse is one tick away from throwing a shoe at President Trump.
