The Internal Revenue Service on Friday said the federal government has issued more than 88 million emergency direct payments to individuals that collectively totaled about $158 billion over a three-week period ending April 17.
“The IRS, Treasury and partner agencies are working non-stop to get these payments out in record time to Americans who need them,” said IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig.
A total of more than 150 million payments, which were a central feature of a recent $2.2 trillion economic rescue package, are expected to be sent out.

My take on this: glad it isn't a palette of money going to another country. . .

I don't provide the Feds with my bank account information. My check will take longer to arrive, if ever. Don't need it.

When I finally get our paper check, it’s going in the bank. I’m sure I’ll need it to offset my taxes that I’ll have to pay next year...

My wife and I have not received anything yet, but when we do, we plan on exploding the heads of most Democrats by giving it all to our Lord and Savior. Life is good and God is GREAT. Have a blessed day all.

I know of people who have gotten their direct deposit. I don't know of anyone who has gotten a paper check. I know dems would have preferred to take their usual cut and dole out huge sums to their favorite people via one of their favorite money laundering schemes. Trump went around them and went straight to the people with it.
I think as Trump cuts off their honey pots in foreign aid kickbacks, and stops cash pallet deliveries to our enemies, and stops giving our tax dollars to unethical research in China, and reduces our debt to China by the bill for this fiasco....we will be just fine. We would be shocked to see the amount of taxes that are actually needed to run this country, in the absence of democrat corruption.

We're going to give ours to our savior here on Earth, Donald Trump, so he'll be re-elected in November and allow all of us to continue to worship our Savior in heaven in the manner each of us chooses, as well as continue to keep the demon Democrats off our backs and out of our pockets.

We already filed our 2019 federal tax return. Last week we received a check from the IRS in an amount much less than what has been announced for a qualifying married couple. The check had written on it that it was a “tax refund”, and did not have President Trump’s name on it. We have not received any explanation from the IRS. We are wondering if that check was actually a tax refund or the economic direct payment? I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens?

Just consider the payments as tax refunds. Offset the payments by withholding funding to the WHO, UN, and stopping foreign aid to countries that don't support us! For as long as it takes to recover the debt!

My mother, who died last year, received a stimulus check. Only in America. As trustee of her estate, I've asked my CPA if this is legit or a mistake.

8, the first bill was 2.2 trillion. Of that roughly 12 percent went to the 1200 buck checks. 500 billion went to small business loans that Congress promised would last until August. That 500 billion lasted THREE days. You may want to drive over your rose colored glasses and shoot your purple unicorns. They’re clouding reality for you. Oh yeah, so far, we printed 10 trillion dollars to last just until the end of the year. We did that in the past 6 weeks. Obama took 8 years to print 10 trillion. I’m no rocket scientist or brain surgeon, just a former helo pilot but I notice a difference between those two things. One is pretty bad and the other one is cataclysmic.

I'll admit I felt a tinge of guilt a few weeks ago when my direct deposit arrived and I didn't really need it but then I thought about how the democrats in Congress have been accepting money for the last three and a half years for doing diddly and the guilt went away just like that.

I haven't gotten a direct deposit or paper check. Someone I know must have gotten theirs because they bought a much needed car for $500. Has four wheels and runs.
