Acting-Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell has dinged Rep. Adam Schiff in a new letter, expressing surprise the Trump foe didn’t praise the appointment of two women to head counter-terrorism unit and rejecting the congressman’s belief that lawmakers control the DNI’s day-to-day management decisions.
Mr. Schiff, California Democrat and chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, had written to Mr. Grenell on April 7 questioning his legal authority to reorganize the Office of National Intelligence and its National Counterterrorism Center.
In an April 20 reply obtained by The Washington Times, Mr. Grenell called Mr. Schiff’s ideas “suggestions.”

So Schiff for brains thinks that congress, specifically a democrat congress should administer intelligence. What could possibly go wrong?
In theory, intelligence staffers are hired or appointed based on qualifications and experience. Congresscritters are however elected by making pretty speaches, promising taxpayer funded largess and generally appealing to low info voters. To wit, AOC, Maxine Waters etc etc......

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Boy, that sounds important. Wonder how many deputy assistant under-secretaries to the vice chairman there are.

When President Trump picked Grenell, really knew what he was doing. Congress is only oversight and nothing more. I'm glad that Grenell put little jerk in his place.

Schiffty's letter is yet another assault on the Constitution. Congress has no executive power. We have a separate branch of government for that. To try to sidestep such a fundamental structural component of our government is gross stupidity and supreme hubris. This well defines Schiffty.
Grenell nicely says, produce evidence (instead of unfounded accusations) and we will check it out. Schiffty doesn't do well with evidence and following the law so nothing will come if this. It's more of the House dem sideshow.

I like Rick Grenell. I think he's going to do a great job for The President. My hope is, that he can send most of those in the Agency, who are working against Trump, to far flung places! I also hope that Mr. Grenell will come up with some way to keep Schiff out of the Loop! He actually should be forced out of his Chairmanship for all of the underhanded spying he did on fellow members of congress and the President's administration.

Like just about all democrat politicians, Schiff works only for the democrat party, not the American people in general. He's a big nuisance to proper governance.

This back and forth between Richard Grinnell and Adam Schiff has the potential to get real interesting!

From Grennell: "Mr. Shiff-f-f-f-fffff... National Intelligence requires certain basic talents... such as intelligence.
Mr.Shiff-f-f-f-fffff... You are distinctly lacking in such qualifications.

My favorite line from Grenell's response:
''If you share with me the reports you believe provide evidence for these claims, I can promise you that I will review them with the seriousness such accusations demand.''
Hehe. I can imagine....

I think Grenell undermines his decision to appoint women when he falls back on this line of his letter.
' Diversity of the IC workforce should always be celebrated, and I am proud that we increased diversity within the ODNI’s senior ranks, to include more women and members of the LGBT community.”
Again, we have to question the quality of the appointments when diversity is so highly praised that it's in Grenell's letter.

The concept of a dummy in charge of an intelligence operation can only be found in Washington. I guess the Russian and Ukranian circuses have not embarrassed the democrats sufficiently. Schiff should have lost his membership in all congressional committees by now and been told to sit down and shut up.

Schiff needs to be ignored and blocked as much as is possible.
