Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer touted how minority communities and rural areas will receive aid via provisions added to the Paycheck Protection Program in response to a claim that Democrats are holding up funding for small businesses.Schumer joined CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday and responded to a statement from the former administrator of the Small Business Administration, Karen Mills, who said: “Complexity is not our friend here … things that have to be implemented quickly can’t have a lot of bells and whistles or else there will be too many unintended consequences — one of which is delay. And we don’t have time for delay.”

Paycheck Protection Program? In 70 years the only paycheck protection I had was ME. It didn't always work. On the other hand I and family are alive and kicking.

Sure Chuck, what's the rush for? As long as Nancy can order Jeni's by the crate all must be well, right?

Why shouldn't they get in line like everyone else Chuckie? Sounds like you are a racist that doesn't think they are capable of applying like everyone else... Dim-o-crats, the party of baby murder and the KKK.

"Can't have a lot of bells and whistles", means give us a blank check so we can steal some and reward our friends with no accountability. As for complexity, look at what government did to teaching math, as an example. It's called new math and it's way beyond ridiculous. No government program remains simple and easy to implement or understand.

To the 'Unbanked'? Just drive downtown in most Dem cities and throw 100 dollar bills at the sidewalk village tents. They can't cash checks you know. LA and San Fran first, I guess.

Why should any rural American trust the word of a senator from NYC? When Upchuck Schumer is ducking behind anything "rural," you know to be suspicious of his motives. Same goes for Nancy Pelosi.

Translation - Crazy Maxine Waters' husband has a bank in the hood. He did not get to profit from this - so it has to be fixed so Crazy Maxine can get in on the action and skim the program for personal gain along with other members of the Congressional Black Caucus.

As a small business owner, I filled out an SBA application for the PPP. There was not one question about race, or sex, or ethnicity, any of it, on the application. The SBA is, or was anyway, not taking it into account all when awarding this money. That the Dems suddenly want to force them to take minority status into account is astounding. It shouldn't be, but it still is.

Yep. It was delayed.
By Chuckie Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats.
As our Jewish friends would call this "chtuzpah." And its best definition is someone who kills his parents and then begs mercy because he is an orphan.

Why would Schumer be so worried about the rural regions, as he is representing New York that is the most highly impacted State in the country?
One thing is for sure anytime the liberal Democrats demand that the government hand out big amounts of money without prudent safeguards, and cite a racial element for doing that, you can safely bet that they are facilitating what will turn out to be massive fraud.

What is an "UNBANKED" business? The drug dealer on the corner? The illegal lawn or pool maintenance company? If my company was "unbanked" an had now way to electronically pay my mandated federal payroll taxes electronically each pay day, I would be in jail! I would like to know how to become an "unbanked" business so that I could receive the same loan benefits that these minority businesses will and be able to play by the same rules that they are able to operate under.

#22, I believe # 10 was referring to the Michael Bloomberg comment that farming didn't require a lot of intelligence since they basically put holes in the ground and filled them w/seeds. Bloomberg was justifiably and widely panned for his stupid comment.

Lying Dbag. The problems were with the big banks not the small independent ones. Also if they don't "bank" how do they operate their businesses and do their payroll?

Anytime the Democrats need an excuse they always bring up some sort of racial politics. This time they are citing minority groups as a crutch.

The best paycheck protection they could do is allow people to return to their jobs.

Hey Chuckie, do you actually think we're that stupid to fall for that excuse? A SB is a SB no matter if they're rural or minority owned so they should have been getting their money if they applied. Could it be because banks are usually demonrat owned and they purposely moved the rural and minority SB applications to the bottom of the pile so their favorite demonrat SBs got the loans first to run out the money?

My state senator, state rep and Congressional rep are all black. Every event is aimed towards towards the the black community, including food distribution. My state rep is MIA. No one ever hears from her. Even her state email site returned email. So Chuck keep pandering.

Why are so-called "minorities" given un-Constitutiional preferences? This has to stop.
BTW, that is not why liar Schumer is holding things up.
