The Worst Governor in America

One word keeps recurring in online discussions of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s latest orders to fight the state’s raging COVID-19 outbreak: “Insanity.” Last week, the first-term Democrat issued an order extending the state’s stay-at-home policy, which had been set to expire April 15, until May 1. Michigan has the third-highest number of coronavirus cases of any state in America, and certainly strong measures are required to get the pandemic under control. But the devil is in the details, and Whitmer’s new order instantly provoked a firestorm of outrage. Among the complaints was that Whitmer had prohibited sale of seeds and other garden supplies,

Whitmer is a perfect example of an emerging class of women politicians that can be categorized as "pretty stupid". That is, they are pretty AND they are stupid. A lot of people vote for them because they are pretty, but only find out later to their regret just how stupid they are. Don't vote for pretty, stupid.

I agree this woman is not just stupid but she is extremely evil. In March she ban the use of the anti malaria drug use in Michigan and just recently said that she would allow it. How many people died because of this? Now she is banning any one to purchase nonessential items. She loves to torture her constituents!! Well, you put her there, you can take her out. Vote and take one of your neighbors to the polls to vote. If you can recall, do so.

For all you that need seeds: this week, two days after it snowed, I planted sections of sliced tomatoes in the garden. We tried that last year and the tomatoes came up beautifully. Same for potatoes and zucchini. Warning! Do not let the Demented Democrat Lady Gov see this post, or you won’t be to buy food at all!

Many people aren't happy with her decisions here in Michigan, but you have the liberal women who say "we all need to support her and keep politics out of it" That is rally call, but then... from around a corner, someone will respond "The same goes for the President" and they freak out. Ha! Biden can Have her! Heck, I'd donate to his campaign if he takes her out of our State.

Fishermen were getting their boats on the water in Michigan until they suddenly saw "Police Line-Do Not Cross" signs tied across the launch ramps by order of the Governor. Wednesday some of these fishermen will join the line of people in their vehicles driving to Lansing to protest. This Governor is a half-Whit.

#8 is right! She has banned boating and fishing. We have boated for decades and the reason why is because there is nothing better than the isolation on the Great Lakes. She is an idiot. Another BAD decision is when anyone goes to Meijer or Walmart for groceries you are not allowed to buy any type of clothing, no gardening supplies, shoes, etc... It's BS and makes NO sense. She is a control freak.

Go for it! Even the people in Michigan hate her. She decreed they can't go from their home to their summer cabin Up North until she says they can. That's fighting words for Michiganders She has other quirky decrees since the Virus has appeared in her state. If Biden chooses her, I'm betting he would lose MI FOR SURE! A Trump win there is already a pretty good bet, but with Whitmer on as VP, I would bet the Farm they Lose MI in November!

I live in an island community in northern Michigan. Boating is as much transportation as recreation. Marinas are closed and unable to get boats ready for launching. This action will be a disaster for businesses in northern Michigan who struggle through the winter months and are dependent on revenues from tourism and primarily boaters.

Somehow she's locked in on the apocalyptic coverage of deaths, crowded hospitals (in the face of hospitals shutting down from lack of traffic) and the racist nature of the exposure of Detroit denizens to the bug. Sadly for Michigan, the eastern half of the state--Detroit--dominates, politically. Southwest Michigan is very conservative. It will be important for Trump to concentrate on that part of the state and other conservative areas in the coming election.

There is no glass ceiling, racial barriers, gender limitations, citizenship status, class or economic background when it comes to stupid. Barack Obama overcame all obstacles to become the worst excuse for a president that we have ever had. Joe Biden studied his mentor well and most of the democrats in the country learned that Far Left was the place to be. Whitmer could not fix a road, what makes her people think she can do anything else? For governors of equal incompetence, look to Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, etc. The list goes on and on.

I recall Barry Soetoro saying similar things when he reigned: You cannot sell fruits or vegetables from your garden stand, were not allowed to garden... In addition to exerting greater control, it had to do, I assume, with making money that the government could not trace and tax. Of course, it would eventually lead to continued idiocy such as this!

Also, is she stupid or diabolical - trying to inflict as much economic pain and plain suffering when it comes to her edict RE seeds and garden supplies? This virus is exposing the true nature of leftists and liberals: they are driven to be in control and to control others. Unfortunately, this is a harbinger of our future. Now that many of these people who are in positions of authority have tasted the control elixir, they are poised to exercise their power and control over others even further (don't think so? Wait 'til next flu season). I am just wondering how long the American people will put up with this type of stuff before they grab their guns and ropes.

Right after Lenin seized control of Russia, just like Michigan, the Red State also banned the growing of home gardens because they feared a black market would grow up along with the veggies. This would also mean the creation of social unrest if some neighbors could afford to buy your potatoes --- and others could not --- and then the hungry ones blamed the government for the shortfall. Couldn't have that. Plus, the Commies were very afraid of a million back-yard capitalist entrepreneurs making it big locally and then getting bright ideas by trying to join together & spread the concept that you should pay me for my work ... and not the government. To a Communist nut-job with the right crazy mind-set, all of this seems like it might work out perfectly. Why --- it makes great sense really! What could go wrong? But in the cold reality of practice it resulted in the total disaster of mass starvation when the "government" couldn't deliver on it's promise to give everyone any food, let alone just enough to survive. Lenin would love Gov. "Retched" Whitmer.

Seven people, all from different households, not only gathered for Thanksgiving but distributed to the media pictorial evidence of them flouting mask mandates and social distancing edicts. No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space. Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

The practice of democracy in our constitutional republic flourishes in the presence of contradictions. Democracy, itself, is bound by our inalienable rights, bestowed to us by our Creator. These rights, not given to us by our government by any majority or by any vote, cannot be rescinded, for they were not wrought by man. Voting is a contradiction for it is both public and private at the same time. Its process is intended to be secret, but transparent. Its agency is intensely partisan, but its effect is intended to be unifying. The legitimacy of voting must survive despite the contradictions intrinsic to the process.

Will Judge Emmett Sullivan accept President Trump’s pardon of General Michael Flynn? No one has suggested that possibility, other than The New York Sun. The general’s case, though, has become a bonfire of the vanities of one district judge who has denied the presumption of regularity to an official act of the United States government — meaning Attorney General William Barr’s attempt to drop the case. So why would Judge Sullivan credit President Trump’s workaround of a pardon? We understand, the pardon could be the least fettered of all the powers that the Constitution grants to the president.

Many conservatives have moved their social-media accounts to the more freewheeling Parler, and often have slammed the supposedly monopolistic Facebook and Twitter as they’ve decamped from those sites. I have chuckled at some of their overheated parting rhetoric — especially the widespread misunderstanding about the meaning of the word “monopoly.” A monopoly is, as the Oxford dictionary explains, “the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.” Quite obviously, if one stops doing business with a company and heads over to its competitor, then the previous company is not by definition in exclusive possession or control of a service.

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

The Royal Family was left reeling this morning after Meghan Markle tearfully revealed that the stress of royal life made her suicidal when she was five months pregnant, claimed Archie was denied the title of prince because he is mixed-race and said Kate Middleton made her cry before she married Harry in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple also chose to reveal that they are having a baby girl to the tens of millions of people watching the CBS show broadcast in the US before accusing the Royal Family of racism and revealing the deep rift 'Megxit' has caused with Prince Charles and Prince William.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Without question, the vast majority of Americans who support former President Donald Trump were angry and frustrated throughout 2020 passed with barely a mention of then-U.S. Attorney John Durham’s criminal investigation into the FBI’s fraudulent “Russiagate” counterterrorism operation directed at his 2016 campaign. In the weeks before the November election, word got out that then-Attorney General William Barr wasn’t going to announce any indictments or even a report on Durham’s investigation because he did not want to influence the outcome. So far, in fact, the only indictment to come out of the Durham probe is that of former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who essentially got a slap on the wrist

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
