It hadn’t occurred to me that the briefings might explain why the small bounce in his job approval after the virus crisis hit had begun to fade. I thought it might be because there’d been more reporting lately about how the feds bungled their initial response to the outbreak. Or it might be a simple reaction to the rising death toll and gruesome unemployment numbers. The briefings seemed like the least likely explanation because Trump sounds at them like he always does.

My wife and I tune in to the daily briefings on facebook over the internet because we enjoy him roasting the occasional annoying reporter. Fauci and Birx and Pence seem to repeat their mantra daily. Off topic, we noticed that Dr. Birx stood up as Trump was leaving the platform, and that seemed to us to be a nice moment of respect for the President. We also look forward to Dr. Birx’ outfit of the day.

I am a Trump supporter and will vote for him but my enthusiasm for him is way down. We did not elect Fauci and Birx to follow wildly inflated models, but we did elect Trump to see through this and perhaps fire people at the CDC who send directives to docs to classify all deaths as China Virus deaths. What exactly is going on here right under his nose?

His numbers are down because the American people are beginning to see that he has been played by the "experts" and while we are willing to put up with this charade for a bit, it is becoming more and more obvious that the models are all overblown and we have been forced to shut down the entire economy!
He needs to re-open the economy now! The precedent he has set will destroy us when a Dem comes into power!

At first, I found them helpful. But I can’t take hearing platitudes about what a good job we the spineless are doing sitting in our houses watching America implode any longer. Especially now that the data PROVES we skeptics were right all along and the whole thing was blown epically out of proportion.
The average American doesn’t really understand federalism. It’s the governors locking us in our homes, but the President’s messaging isn’t clear enough on that. He needs stop this “30 days to slow the spread” garbage and open the country NOW. Let the democrats governors who don’t ease up twist in the wind.

I like them, but then again, I like numbers. He is not just giving in to Fauci! .. and I feel i can see what is really happening and it's interesting and it is the best view possible to how the interplay will affect us. On the surface of course he is polite to Fauci. This is a big drama, in front of us, and I would rather see it myself than be told about it by some known liar.

The questions asked by the media are not questions for which they want answers. They are gotcha questions, specifically designed to portray Trump as inconsistent, indecisive, thin-skinned, egotistical, out of control, mean, and unbalanced.
The problem is he takes the bait every single time. And in doing so, he gives them exactly what they want.
He could solve this problem by having his Task Force hold the daily briefings. If reporters had questions directed to him, they could submit those questions and he could appear by video at the end of the briefings and read his prepared answers to their questions.

I tend to prefer my information come from a first-hand source, rather than be filtered through the MFM.

The briefings are important. His part is the best along with Dr. Birx.

The internet's original cuck says what? He only exists so Ace will have a chew toy when he gets bored.

If you haven't figured out why Dr Doom and Blix are there, go get some more coffee and try to pay attention. He co-opted his biggest loudmouth deep state critics. They would have been sniping at him from the peanut gallery. Instead they have to eat their ridiculous claims daily on TV.

The daily briefings are helping Trump. Trump is the only one capable of confronting the leftist media, and he whips them everyday. The media deserve it, and it is the only way Trump has to keep from being demonized. Trump wins, and the solidarity of his support and the poll numbers show it.

OP is right. We’ve watched eagerly for a long time, but now turn off the TV. Trump drones on too long and tends to get into bragging about himself. He should say a few words, then turn it over to Pence who is in charge of this committee. It’s better when all of them get to the point and not drone on and on. Also, have the reporters there, but ignore the stupid questions.

Nice try, but I plan my day around his press conferences. I get the latest updates, marvel at how the President is able to coordinate such health, business, national and international issues.
Yes, he is being poorly served by the health professionals on the Task Force, but he is working his way through it, while exposing the enemy within. "Experts" and the Press. No one knows it better than Trump.

What #16 said.
Interesting that #NeverTrumpers come out whenever presented with a chance to jab at PDJT. Just like clockwork.

The President has cut his briefing appearances short the last two days. That is an excellent move.
