Trump should stick to his assembly of
experts -- with extreme caution

President John F. Kennedy famously observed during a gathering of Nobel Prize winners: “I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent, of human knowledge, that has ever been gathered together at the White House — with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.”
And so it is again with President Trump’s daily assemblies at the White House featuring some of the world’s leading public health experts, epidemiologists, business leaders and economists.
Clearly, Mr. Trump listens carefully to his panels of experts. And — clearly — these experts often clash.

At some point, the clinical and medical experts are going to need to recognize that we cannot continue to keep Americans from working. At SOME POINT, we will have to just accept that some people will get this, and some small fraction, perhaps 1% or 2% will die from it.
An old saying that my father said, "Ultimately, nobody makes it out alive." Yep, hoping for later rather than sooner, but there it is for all of us.

Couldn't have said it better, #1. Trump has good instincts, I trust him. He knows it't time to get this country back to work. I agree 100%!

I think the two so called medical experts are incompetent. they were using horrible models to scare the American people to death. Those models were so far off ! The statement by Dr. Birx not to go to the pharmacy, supermarket was so irresponsible! The munchkin is a Hillary plant. They need to be fired.

Numbers to remember: 262,000 deaths from medical mal-practice last year. 13,000 to 18,000 deaths from the flu each year. 40,000 baby deaths each year at the hands of the fine physicians at Planned Parenthood. Corona virus is a mere blip in comparison.
Throw out the dinosaur bureaucrats (Birx and Fauci) who want to wait till every single person is 100%. Let's use some common sense and get back to work.

"with extreme caution..." If this curious exchange between Jonathan Karl and Anthony Fauci is what it appears to be (https://twitter.com/JenniferJJacobs/status/1247312190895423490 ) extreme caution on the part of PDJT might not be enough.
I just cannot shake the feeling that this is a lot like the lead in to the Iraq war. Mr. Bush took the advice of George Tenet, democrat in charge of the CIA who said WMD's in Iraq was a slam dunk and under the control of an erstwhile madman who "used chemical weapons on his own people". Democrats, republican politicians, talking heads and the media all insisted Saddam Hussein had them, he was dangerous and something should be done about him and his wmd. When it was all over and no wmd's were found in the quantities expected, "Bush lied, people died" and the worst invective I've ever heard used against a sitting president was all we heard from the media/democrats/leftists.
Curious how the government reaction to COVID-19 struck at the heart of the economy and campaign rallies - both Mr. Trumps strengths. In view of what we now know about how well the democrats in the federal government and the mainstream media coordinate to undermine policies that work against their agenda, I have to wonder if we are not seeing the same thing. Everyone in the forefront of the government response is a democrat - some known to be adoring supporters of Hillary Clinton. And I have questions that are yet to be answered. Are they a part of the resistance? Would democrats really be so despicable as to crash the economy to prevent Mr. Trumps re-election? What will be the media mantra when this is over?

We elected a President and Congress. Our Chief Executive must reassert his leadership, including OVER his medical advisors, who really are statisticians. I trust President Trump's instincts.
We can't wait for a time when there will be no more deaths. Because there are always going to deaths attributable to some contagion or another. The regular flu afflicts millions, hospitalizes hundreds of thousands, and kills many, many thousands every year, some years worse than others.

#4, I’ve seen your number estimate of death from medical malpractice before. An imaginary number dreamed up by an idiot liberal-lawyer. In 40+ years of active medical practice, I’ve not seen one deliberate murder by malpractice. Granted, medicine isn’t an exact science, much advice is intuition and best guess. But it must be very rare that any physician causes harm intentionally. So, screw your number. And your comment.

#3- Respectfully disagree about being incompetent. Based on other website poster comments, would suggest they may be walking a very fine line considering with both having connections to the Clintons and Bill Gates; personal political party affiliations may have some bearing as well.
#5- Intuition and connecting dots can be quite discerning. The forces that have strategized to destroy President Trump these past four years (includes the 2016 campaign year) are not about to cease and desist with the next presidential election set for November 3, 2020. Noteworthy is the fact that not one prominent “GOP establishment” figure has offered a kind word about, or in defense of, President Trump and his family despite the irrational, unrelenting, vicious attacks against President Trump and his family. Silence often speaks volumes.
