In a Saturday afternoon press conference, the White House coronavirus task force warned that Americans should consider avoiding leaving their homes this week as the deadly outbreak, which has so far infected more than 300,000 and killed nearly 9,000, is expected to reach its peak.
“The next two weeks are extraordinarily important,” White House coronavirus response coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx said Saturday. “This is the moment to not be going to the grocery store, not going to the pharmacy, but doing everything you can to keep your family and your friends safe.” (Snip)at least three regions of the United States — the midwest, the northeast, and the areas surrounding New

Look Busy!
This is today's change in orders. Yesterday was "wear a mask" after - "Don't bother with a mask" and "save the masks for the medical help."
Tomorrow may be "Wash your hands and your ears." "Wear goggles" or "Don't use reusable bags."

Deep state idiots are trying to get their last shots in. Dr. Doom(Fauci) and Birx know their whole scam is going south. Trump has known from the beginning that they were clowns. Some times you have to let things play out. Many tyrant Governors and Mayors in the spotlight, the voters will remember.

Yeah, right.
Two weeks ago, the Surgeon General said "this week is going to be BAAAADD...." It wasn't. Now he's saying "this next week is gonna be BAAADD.... this is our PEARL HARBOR MOMENT!" I'm through listening to these so-called "experts" who are always wrong. If we did what they all want us to do, we'd forfeit our rights, our freedom and our country. People over 60 with comorbid conditions are at risk. Let them stay inside, quarantined. The rest of us should get back to our jobs and our lives. Got a mask? Okay, wear it if you're worried. Otherwise, resume life.

I'll walk to the store, leave my phone at home, and pay cash. Google reports be d**mned!
Maybe not they'll have toilet paper.
This has gone too far.

What do these "experts" have to lose by destroying the world?
If it is bad they can say "Look, we told you!"
If it's not bad they can say " See our prescribed orders are having an tremendous effect! "
What a farce!
I'm just done. I won't take risks obviously and thankfully I don't have to but no masks, no gloves, no not getting groceries, just no! Common sense works for me.
President Trump, end this now!!

Do they really think the risk here in New Mexico is the same as in New York or LA, that one size fits all?

Just talked to a beautiful young officer on our towns police force. She said a Bloomington, MN officer just caught it giving CPR to a heart attack victim! I thanked her and told to stay safe! Then we talked about our Red Dots on the AR! They just got theirs! She was awesome!

So if deaths peak in 11 days weren’t they infected possibly 2 weeks before that. Say the last 5 days. Isn’t that when we should have been warned about the grocery store and pharmacy? Maybe I don’t understand the timeline. But after the peak this country needs to have a plan to go back to work. And stop listening to the liberal bogeyman.

No. I will not comply. This is where I draw the line. It’s supposed to be hitting already. We were all exposed 14 days ago right??? Why do I have to stay out of the grocery this week all of the sudden? This is the WEEK. Nope. No more bull crap. If I need to go to grocery, I’m going. Screw you.

This is starting to resemble a game of Simon says. It's been 3 weeks now.
The citizenry is starting to get very antsy. The novelty of a "crisis" is wearing mighty thin for most.
The country is an economic, entertainment based system. Once the weather gets nice good luck keeping the herd contained. We know people who cannot live without the mall, the movies, the gym, dinner and drinks out at least twice a week. They are fed up. The incessant cautioning, warning and hand wringing with no end in sight is getting old indeed.
Brixx can sat what she likes along with all the other pinhead specialists but people are sick if it.
All this for a virus? Doesn't pass the smell test. Call me skeptical, I think it was a bio weapon from China.

According to the numbers (300K infected with 9k killed), odds are that you will be infected by the virus but not die, so go grocery shopping. Unless there's some sinister plan to spread the virus scheduled for this week. This gets stupider and stupider.

I refuse to eat the salty, fatty foods too often found in the pantry and freezer sections of a grocery store. I ate healthy before this National Time Out and I am going to continue to eat healthy foods. That means fresh, perishable foods for the most part, so I shop every three to four days. And I'm not going to stop.

Is this mandate for everywhere, or just hot spots? Is a small town in Montana, with no infections, to suffer the same panic? Bureaucrats: even though they are experts in their field, they get caught up on the bandwagon too!

FTA: “This will probably be the toughest week – between this week and next week,” President Donald Trump told the press conference, grimly. “There will be a lot of death, unfortunately…there will be death.”
If this is true, aren't these people already sick and most likely hospitalized? How will staying home have any impact on the number of deaths in the coming week?

#2, I'm with you. Don't be surprised if a chasm develops between Trump and Birx/Fauci, and Trump "lets them go." Maybe he will find an adviser who would be more willing to take a "herd immunity" approach.

Don't go to grocery stores? How am I suppose to feed myself and my family? GTH. The shelves will be even more empty now. Thanks for spreading the panic. Morons. Have you thought this out? We got fake experts with loud mouths folks.
If I have to go to the grocery store or the pharmacy, I will. My outside excursions are already at a minimum.
Btw, does anyone know how many people die in the United States every day? Its over 7400.

If everyone under 60 goes grocery shopping more often, it'll build up the herd immunity much faster for the rest of us! :-)

Lotsa sheep out there doing as their gubment instructs. Pfft ... haven’t changed a damn thing and things are running pretty close to normal in Central Florida. Pro tip: Old people get sick and die. Shocking, I know. If things were really as bad as the government WANTS IT TO BE, then there’d be no reason for the ridiculous CDC guidelines that inflate the numbers for cause of death. Another curious question: What good does it do people to be news hounds their entire lives if they never learn a damn thing about government lies and corruption. Good grief.

I go grocery shopping once a week and wear a mask. I use the hand sanitizer in the store and also when I get home. We don't eat pre-made crap, only homemade low-carb food. When I buy fresh meat, put it in FoodSaver bags and into the freezer it goes. I then cook it sous vide and we have great meals every night. We also don't eat 3 times a day, we do one meal a day, which when you're low-carb/keto is easy. We're never hungry. Yeah, I know, it's not for every one, but I've lost 60 pounds without being hungry once. I can't eat crap out of the pantry, because we don't have any pasta, chips, bread, canned food, etc. in the house.
