HUTCHINS, Texas— A tractor-trailer hauling toilet paper crashed and caught fire near Dallas early Wednesday, spilling the hot commodity all over an interstate, officials said. The fire shut down westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near Interstate 45 in Hutchins, the Texas Department of Transportation said. The driver of the truck is OK, officials said. The toilet paper appeared to be large rolls typically used in stores, restaurants and other businesses. Texas Department of Transportation officials said the load of toilet paper “burned extensively,” according to Dallas TV station WFAA.Toilet paper has been in high demand amid the coronavirus pandemic. Imaginary play time drama is even more than America can handle. It's sad when the Brits "Keep calm and carry on" puts the once Rugged Americans to shame. So we focus on TP to give the illusion of control over our fates. TP is not essential, its a luxury, (raised three kids on cloth diapers and I can assure you there is a cheap, functional, sanitary, and easy work-around). Food, however... (glad I'm a farmer). This "TP Tragedy" will pass and the children will get back to their psychiatrists and pharmaceuticals to help them deal with their fear of the weather. The challenges of the Great Depression produced America's Greatest Generation. Diamonds are forged under heat and pressure. We have successfully produced a generation of mush.

My last order of tp from Walmart (just before tp effectively disappeared) ended up taking a week to get to us. It came to Southern California all the way from Mesquite, Texas...

Any other time this would be a suitable article for the repartee & quips from the Lucianne posters. But alas, one considers how important paper goods are nowadays and it makes me sad. Consider also the trauma to the truck driver, his family, damages to the truck & cargo...well, no humor there.

What sort of an alternate reality are we finding ourselves in when a truckload of toilet paper makes anything but local news? The MSM is ridiculous and is getting more so by the day. We need to start demanding a return to normal life before our minds go numb with this induced insanity.

Where's the pictures? Usually when there is a crash and a cargo of some hot commodity is scattered all over the highway, the scavengers are all over it.

We won two world wars, developed nuclear power, put man on the moon. But we can't keep TP on the shelves. Seems a little ironic to me. Massive, evil forces at work right now.
