How a Police State is Born

The United States and much of the western world, by utilizing the most draconian of tactics, is plunging many nations into potential economic and societal chaos as they attempt to stem the tide of the Chinese Coronavirus (snip) The nation is choosing to plunge millions of people into depression, heart attacks, suicide and unbelievable distress, though they are not especially vulnerable and will only suffer mild symptoms or none at all. This is what a police state is like. It is a nation in which the government can issue orders and edicts or convey preferences with no legal authority.

I truly believe that this over reaction is fueled by the democrats desire to destroy the Trump presidency! They really don’t care if the country is plunged into a Great Depression! Moreover, the police state described in this article is necessary to complete their social engineering and leftist agenda! The suspension and eventually the elimination of the constitution is an objective of communist left! Friends and neighbors, the republic is in dire straits and President Trump is probably the only person standing in the way of the implementation of a communist police state!

The Deep State is creating the Sheep State. The Enemedia at first: yay! Crisis! Sell papers! Clicks! Lots of viewers! Then somebody realized maybe if we jack this up enough and hey look, the market is tanking, we can bring down Bad Orange Man. Wrecked economy? Meh, collateral damage or part of the strategy. Now, that somebody is building a scared populous willing to rat on their neighbors for going outside. Can Trump stop it? He hasn't yet and we don't have all summer.

I'm 69 and taking reasonable precautions. I'm not scared a bit. There have been 14 cases in my county and no deaths. I want to go to church again, I want to go to a baseball game, I want to walk on a trail in my local park. I want to go back to work. I'm sick to death of the phrase social distancing even though I do it. But most of all, I am so sick of the media - I hated them before and now I loathe them.

There's a video going viral of a man walking alone on a street and taken down by police in Italy. It's not pretty that's what a police state is. He could have died from his injuries from police so why worry about a virus, right? The communist are knocking at our doors and this is part of the hoax/virus. The governess of our state is shutting down all gun shops and going to use state police to enforce it. This is a step she's been wanting to take along with gun confiscation next. Blame everything on the virus but I'll blame the left and the media.

The best thing that can come of this is the fallacy of taking extreme actions based on extrapolations from computer models. Global Climateers have been trying this for some time. Fortunately, they've been unable to tie computer predictions to any measurable consequences. In this epidemic, we have an example of computer models that can be validated by real results, but are based on unverifiable premises. If we don't know the probability of transmission and the actual infection rate, we cannot accurately predict the results! Hopefully the public will become more skeptical of public policy as a result of this computer models and that will harden their skepticism of global warming, as well as other hysteria-generating events in the future.

Here’s what continues to give me hope that all of this will end and we’ll get our country back to normal - we still have our guns. And we have a president who insists that the gun stores stay open. And we have a president who will order the military to protect us if necessary. And we have a military who loves this president and will obey his orders.

I am mostly amazed by how passive people are about arrests and fines based on nothing more than a governor's--or mayor's--edict. What law gives a governor the right to break up gatherings of X number or people or shut down funeral services or arrest a pastor for holding a church service? All of these things may be good for the purpose of containing the virus but the authority has to come from law. Have any of them sought authority from their legislatures? Or have they cited any law that gives them this sweeping authority? Do civil liberties and democracy go out the window in a crisis? Apparently.

The writer is also guilty of stoking the fear. We have little dictators in various liberal spots but their threats are, for the most part, meaningless. Shut down a church forever? Come on. There will be some arrests and some fines awarded but most will be thrown out in court. Most people here in flyover country are doing what we think is proper under the circumstances without any government mandates. Closing restaurants for dining in makes perfect sense but the government needs to speed up the subsidies to keep them from closing for good. We need to do our part and use their take out and delivery service at the same rate we used to dine in. Some of the more idiotic orders have been ignored or retracted, like the closure of Interstate highway rest areas. Power-hungry little Napoleon-wannabes are outing themselves and will pay dearly in upcoming elections. The main thing to keep your eye on is challenges against the 2nd Amendment. None have been successful and none will be. If you have not purchased firearms before now it is your own fault but the rest of us will cover you in time of need. That's the American way. I can't see my nearest neighbors from my house but we keep an eye on each other daily.

These mitigation efforts are crazy. They keep talking about the modeling and the inputs. To get to 100,000 - 240,000 deaths, you would have to have a HUGE spike in deaths per day. Let's just look at it over a 30 day period...to get to 100,000 deaths, you'd have to have 3,333 die DAILY and to get to 240K, you'd have to have 8,000 die daily. Now, spread that out...if you spread it out, you don't have hospitals that are overwhelmed, you also have new treatments coming out and now testing that takes less than 10 minutes. This has GOT to end by the end of April. The numbers are not going to bear this out through April and people are going to demand that end this madness.

Trump was intending for a tax reduction in his second term. With the Care Act, Trump has returned most of the $2.2T to businesses and the people, effectively a tax cut, which is why I think he may have gone along with it. The Governors chimed in with police state tactics, and I hope they are held accountable at the ballot box for it. I also hope Pelosi and the Democrats are held accountable for the pork added to the Care Act, and thrown out of office. Don't assume voters are sheep, and will accept this assumption of power by these boobs, as a reckoning is coming in November 2020, when the left should be removed from office. The media also deserves a confrontation, and so do the owners like AT&T, Comcast, and others. My hope is that the liability suits filed by Nunes and others are successful, and the media, and their corporate sponsors, have to pay huge settlements.

Let's stop with the Democrats this, communists that...it's politicians of all political stripes that are usurping rights left and right. I understand there are people being pulled over for health checks crossing into Florida, for example. What Communist governor ordered that? If you are entering Texas from Louisiana you are "required" to self-quarantine. Again, what Communist governor ordered that? #1 is on the right track...except it's the UNIPARTY that is again willing to blow up the nation to regain its power. They're not Commies - they're pure profiteers bought and paid for by special interests for their own profiteering. Trillions are at stake in this latest "crisis" and there is no one letting that go to waste. And what's saddest is the American public showing what sheep they are, thrilled to be getting a government cheese check. The tough guys talk about guns and freedom...the vast majority think otherwise. It amazes me that government provides reason after reason not to be trusted for anything...yet, HERE is where the government experts have taken us. It's all "settled science" and it will be re-settled tomorrow as necessary.

If you want to stop the kind of dirty tricks politics that the liberal and leftist Democrats have been using, just never under any condition vote for a Democrat. One of the worse political tactics that the Democrats have used is to vote to send the US military into battle, and then when the going gets tough to abandon them when they are still on the battlefield, the Democrats did that during the Vietnam War and then again in Iraq. That has been my political rule of thumb since I was lucky enough to return from Vietnam in January 1969, in one piece, after spending more than a year in country. Anytime I come in contact with a Democrat politician I just flat tell him or her that he or she is wasting their time with me, because I will never vote for a Democrat period.

#16 has hit on the crux of the issue. So far, the highest single day death toll was yesterday - March 31 (895). The death total went up by 75% from March 30 (511 to 895). Even if that rate of increase continues, I don't see how we can get to even 100,000 deaths by April 30 (and at one time I believe Fauci said we could see up to 200,000 deaths by April 30). As #16 states, the daily death toll would have to be 7-8,000 to do that, and it is hard to see from the data (plus the experiences in other countries) that we could get there in 30 days. In essence, it requires the coronavirus "season" to be extended probably into July to get to those numbers. Maybe this virus can do that, but experience says that warm/not weather will dampen its transmission and kill it out. The next two weeks should be very revealing.

Why wasn't China held accountable for this release? This is more than bumbling Communist stupidity, this could be considered an act of war. How will the world react next time when China releases something far deadlier and using their New Silk Road (read: Hammer & Sickle) initiative can spread it far and wide? If Richard Nixon had never opened the "Bamboo Curtain" we wouldn't have this problem.

If Trump doesn't override those 'experts' in a couple weeks after seeing with his own eyes that the doomsday is not happening, this could legitimately be all put on his scorecard. He says that 'people cannot be replaced' yet his own experts he follows are causing death by the lists in the article, simply because the media has convinced them that they are doomed by losing their job. How are you going to fix that Mr. President? because when folks figure it out, the media will start using those numbers to beat him down with, after the virus cudgel no longer works. Medical experts should never be trusted, not when their so-called models destroy an economy, and people's lives for real.

I agree this overblown reaction to The Virus is the illegitimate child of the Uniparty and Deep Staters. A last ditch effort to "Get Trump!" It was their Katrina Moment to discredit a supposedly "conservative" presidency. It worked with "W" because his middle initial stood for "Wuss" and he was really just another Uniparty apparatchik that was in on the scam; a way to erode our freedoms with our consent. The Patriot Act did more to harm our freedoms and way of life than The Virus and the Uniparty governors are imposing. Its been happening for 20 years. TSA anyone? The big difference this go-around is President Donald J. Trump. He saw the trap and our VSG is using this crisis, the Uniparty's favorite tactic, against them to implement the MAGA agenda under their very eyes and noses. He is harnessing private industry, cutting red tape and throwing regulations aside. He is holding federal bureaucracies accountable for results. He is refusing to "nationalize" and allowing the individual states, through their governors, to address the crisis as they see fit for their people. Federalism in action. If people don't like the actions of their governor or state legislatures they can make their voices heard in November. This is our Battle of the Bulge, facing a depleted and corrupt regime mounting a final big push that is suicidal in nature. I'm not minimizing the danger our Republic now faces. I am instead confident that Goodness is finally engaging Evil and will prevail. God is at work in the world...and Donald J. Trump is His builder.

We've had only a couple of deaths and a handful of cases, but when you get the power, I guess you have to use it. There are getting to be too many tin-pot dictators in this country and for anyone that thinks that when the SHTF, the local law enforcement will be on our side, I have a high rise bridge in Arizona I'll sell cheap. And what do all these cities and states have in common? A coordinated effort by liberal politicians to deliberately crashed the economy.

The government is using the virus as smoke and mirrors to take over the economy while we sleep and forced to stay home. They just took equity shares in airlines. Why? They just took over the financial industry and no body even notices. They are spending money like drunken Marxists on spring break. They set it up to borrow money at zero interest. How nice. Note they can refinance all $25 trillion in debt that has interest on it. Zero interest means people will lose jobs. Banks will reap huge profits on loan points. Meanwhile the rest of the country is unemployed defaulting on credit cards and mortgages and going out of their minds.

While the Trump administration is forecasting some 100 - 240k or more deaths from the coronavirus scare (and lots of hell) over the next few weeks, South Korea is well on its way in sliding out of its bell curve since the middle of March. South Korea was also hit pretty hard with this virus, being right next door to China. For weeks now, nearly every media outlet has behaved as though the Covid19 virus was a cause for celebration. They broadcast the numbers like they show the stock market or election returns. The mass hysteria over COVID-19 in the U.S. is driven in large measure by misleading statistics and bad math about the disease’s body count. (snip) The problem starts with the fact that the highly influential statistics from the Big Apple paint a false picture of what is actually happening. President Trump is redefining himself as a wartime president, boldly acting to sweep away obstacles and mobilizing government and business to fight together to get us up to speed in overcoming a threat that nobody anticipated. Yesterday’s White House press briefing, held outdoors in the sunny weather, intensified the frenzy of TDS-addled media and other Democrats. President Trump’s effectiveness -- in reforming regulatory and bureaucratic roadblocks and mobilizing vastly increased production of necessary medical equipment in short supply -- was on display

When everything from professional sports to entertainment award shows have become political forums, it’s no surprise that an infectious disease outbreak moved from the realm of science to politics. In politics there are few coincidences, defined as “Remarkable concurrences of events or circumstances without apparent causal connection.” What to the casual observer appears random are events actually created or steered in a certain direction for political objectives. The Trump presidency provides a timeline of such examples, including the current viral pandemic

After a series of disastrous video conferences demonstrating that what he lacks in brains, he makes up for with dementia, the presumptive Democrat nominee is already facing stiff competition from a guy who's not even a candidate for the presidency. That's right. There are all kinds of rumors that Andy Cuomo, the second Fredo of the Cuomo crime family, is emerging to give Old Joe a run for his ill gotten money. Imagine "D'oh!" Joe's utter confusion right now. He's walking around his Wilmington, Delaware mansion (which a lifetime of "public service" has somehow afforded him) without pants, wondering where he is

Chutzpah is a Yiddish word meaning incredible audacity. The most famous example is the man who murders both his parents and then throws himself on the mercy of the court because he’s an orphan. Neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle is Jewish, and it’s doubtful if they even know the meaning of the word “chutzpah,” but they’ve sure got it – and Trump was not amused. One of the things that was immediately obvious about Meghan Markle was that she was “woke.” That is, in keeping with her “B” level actress status, she eagerly copied all the political shibboleths of the big Leftist stars

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is demanding the racial data of those contracting the novel coronavirus, contending that it is “critical to ensuring an equitable and just response to this crisis across the board.” While the virus appears to be no respecter of persons, infecting more than one million people globally, Warren believes it is “critical” to have racial data to properly respond to the pandemic. “Our health care system is rife with racial disparities. Racial data on coronavirus will be critical to ensuring an equitable and just response to this crisis across the board,” she wrote in a tweet, referencing an article from the Atlantic. “But we don’t have that data—yet,” she added:

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Last Word,” House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) reacted to the firing of Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson by stating President Trump is “retaliating against people that are on his enemies list and doing it in the dead of night” as people are dying. Schiff stated, “We’re in the middle of a pandemic, and what is this president doing, as thousands of people are dying? He is retaliating against people that are on his enemies list and doing it in the dead of night. This is just another showing of the character or the lack of character of this president.

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” former Vice President Joe Biden said President Donald Trump should have stopped air travel from China sooner than he did to fight the coronavirus pandemic by saying 45 nations had already blocked “China personnel from being able to come to the United States.” On Trump’s response to the outbreak, Biden said, “I would tell him what we went through a similar crisis, you have to move swiftly. We have to move more rapidly. You have to implement the Defense Production Act, empower a supply commander, create, you know, a Defense Production Act for banks for small business loans, you got to faster than slower, and

Joe Biden said he would follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendation to wear a face mask in public.“I think it’s important to follow the science. Listen to the experts. Do what they tell you,” Biden told ABC’s This Week on Sunday, adding, “If I go out in public — and I have not gone to commercial places of late, I haven’t gone to my local church, etc. There’s no services, actually. But my generic point is that you should follow the science.”The move differs from how President Trump said he would act in public. Trump said Friday he would not wear a mask because it could interfere

After the 9/11 terrorist attack, Rudy Giuliani’s calm presence was an inspiration to the entire nation. Today, New York is a different kind of ground zero, and it has a very different kind of leadership — which is to say, the weak and woefully inadequate kind. To say that Mayor Bill de Blasio has done a poor job under pressure is to understate the case. In the simpler times of 2014, New Yorkers had the luxury of chuckling at his weak leadership, as when he killed a defenseless groundhog at a public event. But that he has proven himself such a clown amid a grave crisis,

In a bigoted effort to mislead its readers and demonize the American South, the far-left New York Times on Thursday manufactured a wildly misleading coronavirus map. Using a desperately sweaty piece of reverse-engineering to make Southerners (and I’m a proud one, Yeeehaawwww) look as irresponsible as possible, the Times — a fake news outlet that hires racists, spreads deliberate misinformation, and has already smeared Christians as the cause of a coronavirus outbreak that’s currently hitting mostly secular, urban areas like New York — published a steaming pile of fake news. “Where America Didn’t Stay Home Even as the Virus Spread” is the name of the piece

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker ripped President Donald Trump on Sunday over management of the federal stockpile holding undistributed and urgently needed COVID-19 supplies. Trump – and Jared Kushner, the president’s senior adviser and son-in-law - have been saying the states have no special priority access to the Strategic National Stockpile to obtain desperately needed supplies. Trump has been reluctant to fully distribute ventilators and other medical equipment from the national stockpile as governors, including Pritzker, are begging for help.(Snip) If they had started in February, building ventilators, getting ready for this pandemic, we would not have the problems that we have today and frankly, very many fewer people would die,” Pritzker said.

Count me as one of a diminishing number of "coronavirus response" skeptics. My vantage point is that of a working-class person (service manager in an auto repair shop). My state of Virginia has joined the growing number of states that has ordered its citizens to remain in their homes except for essential reasons, and a shutdown of non-essential businesses until at least June 10th. The good news for me is that auto repair is classed as an essential service and I have enough diverse skills to make me the kind of employee who will be the last to be laid off.

In a Saturday afternoon press conference, the White House coronavirus task force warned that Americans should consider avoiding leaving their homes this week as the deadly outbreak, which has so far infected more than 300,000 and killed nearly 9,000, is expected to reach its peak. “The next two weeks are extraordinarily important,” White House coronavirus response coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx said Saturday. “This is the moment to not be going to the grocery store, not going to the pharmacy, but doing everything you can to keep your family and your friends safe.” (Snip)at least three regions of the United States — the midwest, the northeast, and the areas surrounding New

ABC’s chief White House correspondent and White House Correspondents Association president, Jon Karl was the latest liberal journalist to decide they wanted to make a fat stack of cash by publishing a new anti-Trump book (Front Row at the Trump Show). As such, his Sunday appearance on Good Morning America was just another chance to hawk his product. He insisted President Trump was making a mockery of the coronavirus crisis and was using the daily press briefings as “a reality TV show.”With no consideration to the fact that, as president, Trump needed to juggle warning Americans

We’ve heard much during the Wuhan flu crisis about a “worst case scenario” of two million dead Americans, a staggering number. But missing from the national conversation is something equally important: What’s the worst case scenario given our present course of action, largely locking down the country and freezing life like an insect stuck in amber? What if worse coming to worst means a great depression, a descent into tyranny, millions more dead from other causes and a permanently impoverished nation?Almost the entire virus debate has centered around whether the experts are correct
