Amid the escalating coronavirus pandemic, Erin Stanton, owner of Susie's Senior Dogs (SSD), is stepping up to help elderly pets by covering the cost of fostering them. In an interview with Fox News, she explained that there is a greater need to get dogs out of shelters during the COVID-19 crisis. That’s because of limited volunteers, and the lessened ability for people to go to shelters and adopt. In turn, dogs receiving limited walks and care. It was a call to action for Stanton.

Now this is a perfectly lovely idea! Ramona (the Pest)

There's nothing more satisfying than knowing you've given an old puppy dog (old friend) food, water and a nice, comfy, warm spot to lay their head. That's a small price for loyalty and companionship.

Ok I'll foster Nancy. She can sleep om my couch and eat dry dog food until my wife runs her off in about 2 days or my cat does in about 4. It's his couch.

Our last 2 rescues were senior dogs. We only got to love and spoil them for 1.5 and 3 years respectively, but they made their mark on our hearts. Miss them. Adopt and foster the senior dogs and cats—they make the best companions!

Amazing people! One night I lay awake thinking about what would happen if husband and I fell ill. A while ago we had a trainer for our, at the time, high-drive German Shepherd, who took him in when hubby and I got a bad flu. But she is battling illness. Our very elderly Shepherd who's on a strict diet and medication regimen would not be easy for anyone to care for with no instruction. Our family members live in other States. Some years ago a woman I know was involved in Corgi rescue. She took in a neat little guy when his mistress passed away, only to discover that he had lymphoma. She gave him a wonderful home, including medical treatments, for the last year of his life. We do have a great many wonderfully compassionate fellow citizens, caring for man and beast. Thank you all.

Erin is doing something much needed. Bless her. Today I made it to the grocery store in search of pet food. It seems after wiping out the other shelves, they started on eliminating pet food. While I was there I helped another customer who said someone had abandoned a beautiful Siamese cat in her neighborhood and it was starving. She didn't want to adopt it, so I gave her a resource. I am afraid we will see more of this.

Dr. Seuss's political leanings are well known—he was a liberal Democrat who opposed fascism in the 1940s and President Nixon in the 1970s. The new movie of his book The Lorax is a fairly unsubtle pro-environment allegory. Less well celebrated are Theodor Seuss Geisel's early advertising and political cartoons from the 1920s through the 1940s, which feature a decidely racist streak. (snip)Later in his career, Seuss mended his ways and drew anti-racist cartoons, a couple of which we've also included in this gallery. He also expressed regret for his anti-Japanese views

Midwives have been told to stop using terms including "breastfeeding" and “breastmilk” as part of a new trans-friendly policy at an NHS trust. Attorney General William Barr is launching a crackdown on the Philadelphia Mafia — and some expect that the City’s most senior mobsters are getting ready to flip on former Boss ‘Skinny Joey’ Merlino, who is widely suspected of rigging the presidential election in favor of Joe Biden. Unless, of course, Merlino flips first. As we reported two days ago, Joe Biden completely made no sense when he was trying to explain the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. It was really bad and it explains why they’re afraid to have him deliver an address to Congress or do any kind of a real solo press conference, because at this point they have to be afraid this is all going to fall apart if he does anything live and this all becomes too obvious to the American people. But there’s only so long that they can hold this off. And it’s getting worse, as video today revealed. Biden was holding an event to announce the nomination

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
