Thank the Second Amendment: Armed hero
stops possible Florida mass shooting

How can you tell whether or not the liberal media will pick up an incident of gun violence and turn it into a national story? It’s simple: If the shooting is successful, they will give it wall-to-wall coverage for a week. If it is stopped by an armed citizen, however, the liberal media will almost always pretend it never happened or glance over the story with only brief mention or coverage. This oversight is perhaps a bit more understandable at the moment, given the national coronavirus crisis consuming the country and dominating media coverage. But it’s still absolutely worth highlighting the heroic story of a Florida man who on Friday

If this happened in New Jersey, one of two things would have happened. 1, the shooter would have killed a lot of people because concealed carry permits are non existent here. 2, the fellow whot shot the shooter would be arrested for murder and would be destroyed financially just trying to get out of jail but would still spend a long time in confinement and would be portrayed as a vigilante by the governor and the press.

The headline is nutso. This happened in Oklahoma. Perhaps the armed citizen was from Florida, I don't know but in no way was this a "possible Florida mass shooting".

Yes. Convoluted headline and report. I surmise that a Florida Concealed holder stopped a shooter in Tulsa. Oklahoma has recip carry with Florida.

What if the Tulsa shooter had planned to flee to Florida to hide out, ride out the rest of the covid-19 shelter-in-place, and maybe shoot up a few more places? In which case the armed hero would have stopped a possible Florida mass shooting, too, and the headline would have been prescient, not just totally confused... Naw, my money's on totally confused, too.

Monday on MSNBC, former Vice President Joe Biden, a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, apparently got confused when answering a question about his thoughts on what President Donald Trump should be doing to address the coronavirus pandemic. Biden said, “The president has to move more rapidly. You know, we know from experience that speed matters. We know that you can’t go too fast, it is about going too slow. In order to avoid that, those very high numbers, we have to do at least several things. Looking down at his notes, Biden continued, “One, we have to depend on what the president is going to do right now.”

President Trump said he thought the White House would have to break off negotiations over the $2.2 trillion rescue bill because Democrats had put “junk” in the legislation that was intended to help workers and businesses cope with the effects of the coronavirus outbreak.“We did walk away a couple of times, actually, but we thought we were literally going to have to walk away and start all over again they had so much junk in there – and it was junk. Much of it was junk,” the president said during an interview Monday on “Fox & Friends.”

One of Joe Biden's closest labor allies inappropriately siphoned nearly $1 million from a union pension fund as the labor group suffered from a "systemic misrepresentation in financial reporting," according to an internal probe obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. Harold Schaitberger, the president of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), which represents more than 300,000 firefighters, is facing accusations of corruption and gross financial malpractice from his closest deputies. Edward Kelly, the general secretary-treasurer and the number two of the union, detailed the findings of his team's audit in a March 20 internal memorandum.

Towards the end of Monday’s Good Morning America, ABC’s Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl got the opportunity to plug his new tell-all book about covering President Trump to co-anchor George Stephanopoulos. Though the interview was very short, the two journalists managed to fit in as much Trump-bashing as they could. Karl bemoaned to Stephanopoulos that the president was the same man now as he was in 2016, and his “mental illness” was being spun as a good leadership quality, by his own staff.

The USNS Comfort hospital ship arrived in New York Harbor on Monday morning to aid in the coronavirus fight. Dispatched Saturday by President Trump from Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia, the craft arrived at Manhattan’s Pier 90 at 10:42 a.m., as helicopters hovered above and a few dozen onlookers braved social-distancing regulations to catch a glimpse. The Duke of Sussex, 35, who decided to step back from the limelight with Meghan Markle, 38, and 10-month-old Archie after being subjected to intense scrutiny which brought back painful memories of Princess Diana's death, is said to have been apologetic about giving up his post as Captain General of The Royal Marines. You’ve probably heard the expression those who can, do, and those who can’t, teach. A Rhode Island public school teacher perhaps gave that chestnut a new meaning by allegedly taking to Twitter with an offer to pay someone infected with COVID-19 to cough on President Trump. The educator in question, who has subsequently deactivated her Twitter account that purportedly operated anonymously under the handle “Proud Teacher,” is said to teach English as a Second Language to middle schoolers. She previously taught in neighboring Massachusetts. [Tweet] There is no indication as yet as to whether public school administrators will look into this matter further with an eye toward possible discipline.

Chutzpah is a Yiddish word meaning incredible audacity. The most famous example is the man who murders both his parents and then throws himself on the mercy of the court because he’s an orphan. Neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle is Jewish, and it’s doubtful if they even know the meaning of the word “chutzpah,” but they’ve sure got it – and Trump was not amused.
