Never let a crisis go to waste, right? California is really ramping up its efforts to control the population after a couple dozen people died from the Coronavirus. Governor Gavin Newsom recently said he was considering martial law after 12 people died from the Coronavirus. Now a California police department is planning on using drones with night vision cameras and loudspeakers to monitor the population amid the Coronavirus shutdown after approximately 28 confirmed deaths in the state.

This is all more chilling than the virus itself. Judge Nap was on Fox Business this am saying how much of this is not constitutional...I want to hear more about that angle which has hardly or at all mentioned so far.

Good test run for a full on leftist authoritarian takeover of our formerly free nation. On the flip side, a great chance to sharpen your shotgun skills......

Minnesota was ordered into lock down yesterday. "Offenders" face $1000 fines and up to 90 days in JAIL. Yet, they are releasing "non-violent criminals" for the criminals safety. I want to say words you don't allow in this forum. I despise the government.

Never mind buying Greenland or selling Alaska to the Russians. Sell California to the Chinese. I reckon it's worth 50 bucks or so if it has a wall on its eastern border.

Trump-haters call Trump a fascist, but it only took a few weeks for the Democrat governors to reveal who the true fascists are -- depriving citizens of their right to freely assemble, ordering private businesses to close, forcing private citizens into their homes and spying on them if they venture out. I hope the voters remember this well when they head to the polls in November, but chances are that in states like California, New York, and Illinois, most of them won't.

The People’s Democratic Republic of Californication, finally getting to do all the things it really wants to do. My guess is, and it’s just a guess, that cell phone tracking is already taking place for government purposes. We already know the Patriot Act gave the government carte Blanche to sweep up trillions of bits of data, including location data. A rational, right-thinking person would evacuate that communist state as quickly as possible.

One little town is thinking about doing this to break up gatherings. Sending out a drone seems more prudent than putting a live cop at risk of exposure. Facial recognition will probably allow violators to be cited and fined on-line. Perfect, everyone stays safe. Too bad we can all see where this is going.

This is OUR America...after the decades-long War on Drugs, 9-11, urban warfare, and the public's unslakable thirst for security. Sure, we got nothing to hide. And one wonders why such agencies as the FBI and CIA behave the way they do...up to and through attempting a coup. As always, there's nothing to see here. You're safe, if you comply with ordered au-thor-i-ty. Our "heroes" at work.

California is no longer just a joke. It's gone full commie. The measures they are coming up with are straight out of the Soviet Union or "1984". If people don't rise up and squash it, there will be no turning back. The Democrats are completely in control and running wild knowing they have no viable opposition. And all without a single shot being fired.
...YET

This is a program to be employed by police in a largely Hispanic city, Chula Vista. This doesn’t sound like a bad idea. Has nothing to do with martial law. Keeps officers out of harm’s way:
“We have not traditionally mounted speakers to our drones, but … if we need to cover a large area to get an announcement out, or if there were a crowd somewhere that we needed to disperse, we could do it without getting police officers involved,” said Capt. Vern Sallee.
“The outbreak has changed my view of expanding the program as rapidly as I can,” Sallee added.
“What we saw in China, and what we’re probably going to see around the world, is using drones with cameras and loudspeakers to fly around to see if people are gathering where they shouldn’t be, and telling them to go home,” Spencer Gore chief executive of U.S.-based drone company Impossible Aerospace, said. “It seems a little Orwellian, but this could save lives.”
Some scofflaws persist in gathering. This is not a good time for it. Will they go home?

When you let criminals out of prison for a virus, criminals run loose. The drones better be used to catch them as they loot unprotected business property. Time will tell. So far the LA police deny the story is true.

So if you hop the border fence that's OK. But if you walk down the street you're a felon.
