The Senate GOP package failed, with 47 votes in favor and 47 against, which fell 13 votes short of what was necessary to advance the legislation. An angry Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) slammed Democrats for voting against the bill and blamed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for nixing bipartisan negotiations over a coronavirus package.“I want everybody to fully understand if we aren’t able to act tomorrow,

Nancy Pelosi made at least one attempt trying to “secure a funding stream of up to $1 billion for reimbursing laboratory claims.” According to a news report dated March 13, 2020, “that provision would establish a precedent under which health claims for all procedures, including abortion, could be reimbursed with federal funds. That precedent would render the Hyde Amendment, which blocks taxpayer funding for abortion clinics, obsolete.” Nancy Pelosi appears to be “trying to ensure federal funding for abortion as part of the coronavirus economic stimulus plan.”

I wonder if he could executive order this bill. Pelosi is one of the most disgusting creatures in history. She lost any sense of reality years ago. It's all about her, what she wants and power. I've said for years we need time limits for both congress and the senate. Things like Pelosi and McCain wouldn't happen anymore.

Pelosi and the Democrats don't want to help normal Americans who are suffering. If anything, they want the situation to get even worse, with people rioting in the streets. They believe their moment is finally at hand... Revolution. Boy are they going to get it. Just not the way they wanted.

Sen. McConnell and Republicans, please do not pack this bill with pork and do not allow old Nan to put anything in there to support tax payer funded abortions. How about stepping up and writing a clean bill without the usual garbage thrown in to support whatever the lobbyists are willing to pay for. Act like adults. This is no time to produce a thousand page bill filled with pork and special interest favors that no one has read. Pelosi believes this is a win win situation for her. She can hold it up until she gets what she wants and will blame the President for the delay. Do not let her get away with this. Good grief she’s an 80+ year old grandmother who can’t manage to utter a coherent sentence most of the time. Stand up to her and let the American people know what she is trying to do. We cannot allow this woman to continue to drive legislation that is harmful and destructive. There comes a time to get tough and that time is now.

And, Chuckie, since you haven't been expelled from the Senate yet for threatening the SCOTUS Justices, why didn't at least 6 of your fellow dimwits support the measure to get to the 60 votes needed for passage?

What everyone will soon realize: The dems and the uniparty vote for things that give them kickbacks. They don't care about the workers or the deplorables, unless the union is putting money in their secret account. They don't care about foreign aid to other countries, unless they are funneling cash back to them. They don't really care about abortion, but "planned non-parenthood" is a cash cow for them.

Once again, as in so many past dilemmas, the democrats show that their only concern is to increase their power over the country at ANY cost. I am moved to ask what purpose would it serve to give thousands to the furloughed workers and leave them, after the crisis is finally vanquished, jobless because their employers are no longer in business. It reminds me of the old tale of the goose that laid the golden egg.

I live in the People's Republic of Massachusetts. The land of socialist dimocrats. Usually I let things go but this made me actually email the blackhole that I assume is my Congressional rep's office. I asked 2 simple questions. 1. Do you believe all Americans inside and outside the government should be working together regardless of party to deal with the crisis we are in? 2. Do you support the seemingly cheap gamesmanship of Nancy Pelosi who seems to care more about amassing power, focusing on issues unrelated to the immediate crisis and filling bills with pork than she does about coming together in good faith to weather the more immediate issues related to this pandemic and to work protect the physical and financial health of Americans? I concluded by saying "If you are for and with Pelosi and not America I will seriously rethink ever voting for you again and will work to tell everyone I know to think about doing the same." I think everyone in a dimocrat district should do something similar. I doubt they care or will bother to respond but I'm done not speaking out. This has got to STOP!

You can tell when Speaker Pelosi recognizes a political backlash for her manipulative schemes because it’s the only time she blitzes the media. After suffering a very large political hit, beyond the capability of the media to defend, Pelosi said today the House will take up the Senate coronavirus bill. The writing was on the wall late yesterday as people started digging into the 1,400 page House proposal and exposing all of the far-left ideological efforts within it. Billions were earmarked for nonsense progressive projects and the House scheme was fraught with social engineering that had nothing to do with assisting workers and businesses.

It’s not much of a shock to discover that Rachel Maddow doesn’t like President Trump’s daily briefings on the coronavirus. “I feel like we should inoculate ourselves against the harmful impact of these ongoing false promises and false statements by the president by recognizing that when he’s talking about the coronavirus epidemic, more often than not, he is lying,” she told her MSNBC viewers. What is rather surprising is what Maddow wants to do about it, an idea that is gaining cachet among other commentators on the left as well.

According to a report by Campus Reform, professors at universities and colleges around the country are worried that their recorded online courses will be shared by “right-wing sites.” Many professors expressed concern that their classroom lectures on controversial issues like “immigration” would be picked up by conservative news outlets. One user in the thread argued that conservative outlets have a “history of making misleading edits to remove context” and then sharing those videos “get professors in trouble.”

Vice President Biden is due Monday to begin giving briefings on the coronavirus crisis so as to appear like a shadow president. There’s just one problem. Sleepy Joe, as President Trump likes to call him, has been upstaged by none other than Andrew Cuomo. It seems the doughty Democratic governor of New York has emerged as a star, while Mr. Biden is still getting a studio set up in his home. Maybe Mr. Cuomo is the one whom the Democrats should run against Mr. Trump. He has been out there every day of late with detailed updates, wise asides, references to his time in Washington, and commentary on the Constitution.

The word "diversity" appears 32 times in the coronavirus relief bill House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) unveiled on Monday. Pelosi released her plan as critics questioned the priorities of Democratic lawmakers facing the China-caused pandemic. Senate Democrats voted Sunday to block a coronavirus stimulus package worth up to $1.8 trillion, and continued voting down procedural motions on the bill Monday. Democrats in the upper chamber were reportedly upset that the legislation does not do enough to increase fuel-emissions standards for the airline industry or to provide additional tax credits to promote wind and solar energy.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi snapped at CNN’s Dana Bash Tuesday afternoon when the host brought up Trump’s recent remarks suggesting bringing Americans out of quarantine and back to work.“I don’t have time to follow people’s twits…tweets, Twitters, whatever, tweets — so don’t expect me to comment on that,” Pelosi said.“Well, even beyond Twitter, the President of the United States is signaling that he could open it up,” Bash said.“What is your opinion on that?” Bash said pressing Pelosi.

Earlier on Sunday, Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin sounded optimistic that Republicans and Democrats were getting close to finalizing a $2 trillion stimulus package for the American people and businesses. AP: “I think we have a fundamental understanding and we look forward to wrapping it up today. It will get done,” he said on “Fox News Sunday, saying the plan was meant to prop up the nation’s weakened economy for the next 10 to 12 weeks. “I think the president has every expectation that this is going to look a lot better four or eight weeks from now,” Mnuchin said. “If for any reason,
