Mix in a grandstanding TV reporter with an annoyed President Trump, and it usually doesn’t end well.
That’s what happened when NBC News correspondent Peter Alexander repeatedly laid the bait at Friday’s daily coronavirus briefing.
“What do you say to Americans who are scared, though? Nearly 200 dead, 14,000 sick, millions as you witness, who are scared now. What do you say to Americans who are watching you right now, who are scared?”
Yeah, we get it. Scared! Very subtle.
“I say that you’re a terrible reporter. That’s what I say,” Trump replied. “I think it’s a very nasty question and I think it’s a very bad signal

Media needs to peddle hype. It's what news and media quakes do. So sad that there are so many weak minds everywhere that fell for it. The kids partying in FL have the right attitude. Tried to explain that this was a sham to someone in the store yesterday and the look on his face was priceless. Then I read that Cuomo is considering a four month lockdown for NY. At that moment, I knew that he was truly deranged.

Yeah, yeah, we are all scared. It has been and will be tough to go through these daily lock down procedures. Every day it becomes more ominous. But the President, who is one heck of a problem solver is on the case. The media scare mongering helps no one. They have become part of the problem and should just stay out of the way of those who are bravely fighting in the arena. The President is fighting for everyone, including this A**hat.

The media is an enemy of the people. When their goal is to go after the President instead decimating facts, it becomes pretty clear that they are worthless agitators with little regard for informing the public. Their behavior is shameful and their attitude is disrespectful. They act like teenagers trying to argue with their parents. It really is a pathetic spectacle to watch. They have destroyed their reputation and made their profession a laughingstock.

And what's even more disgusting is the LSM headlines generated from Trump's exchange with Alexander, turning this reporter into a victim, and Trump into a misogynist perpetrator. And I'm afraid many stupid people believe Alexander was justified in his stupidity, given the palpable hatred of Trump.

Everyone of us can relate to being asked stupid questions at the most wrong time. The President is working hard, and he's bound to be fatigued. But, does the media notice? No, they see it as an opportunity to strike. My ex used to annoy me until he got me to a boiling point, then he'd criticize me for being angry and easily offended. He was a fool and wrong for doing so, and it only made him look bad. It's the same with the press. They don't speak for us, first of all, and secondly, they are fools and wrong for jabbing at the President at a time like this. If this virus is so serious, why is the media playing gotcha games? Get over yourselves. We hate you, the media, not the President. He polls better than you clowns. And, people are fond of the way he's handling things, and we are not amused by your silliness. The lack of amusement will increase as people are shut up longer and longer. Keep annoying us, and we just might take the streets and drag a few of you.

Ever since the msm became an extension of the social media, it has become more apparent than ever before that everyone should quit consuming its news product aka propaganda. The msm is run by 20-somethings fresh out of their local indoctrination centers where the various leftist -isms are taught.
Note to all Americans - when can the entire country launch the national msm boycott.

Trump is a salesman, always upbeat. The dishonest, dour, negative, petty left media hates him. That's why he's successful, and they are not.

The tiresome attempts at log-rolling never stop. Alexander moaned the rest of the day that his non-question didn't elicit a tap-dancing response from Trump.
Norah O'Donnell laughably claimed that the reporter was attempting to elicit 'factual information.'

Alexander, for sure, is merely trying to put Trump on the defensive, as Alexander throws out a question that really can't be answered. And why? Godless people, like pompous, empty, narcissistic Alexander, when difficulties arise, are truly inconsolable. And so everyone like himself is inconsolable. People like Alexander only appeal to the worst in people.

The Main Stream Morons are only interested in trashing President Trump and Republicans. As long as they are in business, it will not stop. Only when subscriptions and advertisements make it impossible to continue, will a new media emerge. It will be good riddance to the current bunch of democrat hacks!

My advice is to track the real data yourself and draw your own conclusions. The best site I have found is Covid19stats.global put together by Johns Hopkins. It is updated daily and has all the numbers, by country, by state, etc. VERY revealing.
For example, the current death rate in the US is 1.3%. And the top 5 states in terms of number of confirmed cases are: New York, Washington, California, New Jersey, Illinois with Washington having the highest death rate (of these 5) at 5.4%. Who would've thunkit that deep blue sanctuary states would be the top 5. And these are also the ones with the most drastic lockdown measures.
As for the US death rate, while it is higher than the death rate for "normal annual flu" (0.1%), does a 1.3% rate justify the complete shutdown of our economy and the destruction of the livelihoods of almost every (non-government employee) American? Which begs the question, shouldn't government salaries by suspended (and NOT reimbursed) just like the rest of America?

Peter, the MSM reporter clown began his question with the wrong premise, making it fake news. He said many Americans are scared. We are not, we are angry. Huge difference. Trump needs to ban these wooden headed parrots from his daily briefings. The people surrounding him up there on the podium are obvious experts at what they do and they should be allowed to present facts without having to answer stupid and leading questions.

Journalists think very highly of themselves, but their training is completely without substance. They learn protocols, such things as "AP style". They learn memes: if it bleeds it leads; who, what, when, where, why. They acquire a private language: 'graphs' instead of 'paragraphs'. 'Ledes' instead of 'leads'. In J-School they do not learn history, science, mathematics, literary history, philosophy, etc. Their faculty are divided between 'practitioners' (journalists without academic qualifications or interests) and 'scholars' (who usually study something other than journalistic craft/lore/protocols, which are largely without content). Journalism is not a serious major; even 'communications' has more content. If journalists actually know anything it is because of separate study in a traditional field or via self-education. Still, they consider themselves important. They are fleas, lampreys on the body politic. Expect very little from them and you will not be disappointed. Because of their feelings of self-importance they are prepared to inflict misery and disruption on society. They are damned annoying, like small children screaming for the attention to which they feel entitled. Best practice: deny them that attention and give them a good spanking from time to time.

#3 - Actually, your typo "decimating facts" worked as well!
The media hack's questions are getting more ridiculous relative to the success of President Trump in addressing this national emergency. I watch the press conferences and get the information I need directly from our President and his advisors. I don't bother with the press questions, unless I want to watch a lion play with mice. I visit the White House site which gives me the details of Trump's planning and Conservative Treehouse for the deep back story. I have the internet, I don't need no stinkin' NYT.
I do not believe the Chinese virus is a hoax. The "hoax" is the media hyped-up hysterical response. The advancement of "progressive" socialism/communism in America has been halted, and in the process of being reversed at this very moment. President Trump has been using the Left's weaponized Rules for Radicals against them to dismantle their house of cards. He is currently operating under their favorite, "Never let a crisis go to waste." Its a very successful tactic and it is being used by a very stable genius.
Just as the commies used a crisis to implement policies that undermined our government and society, President Trump is using this crisis to forge a new way of getting things done. Instead of the federal government being the bane of existence, it is becoming what it was intended to do - facilitate and help the American people. Trump has engaged every major sector of the US economy. He is slashing old, useless regulations and forging working relationships with our major businesses instead of bureaucrats treating business as the enemy. He is challenging corporations to help their employees and not rely on the feds to be the only source of relief. I have already heard about major league baseball helping their stadium people; Walmart is going to be sending out their quarterly bonuses to the associates early and banks are offering help with mortgage payments. And those are only the private industry responses we have heard about.
At the core of all of this activity is President Trump dismantling and rebuilding how the federal agencies interact between themselves and with the American people. Yeah, important stuff is going on in the back ground. Paradigm shifting kind of stuff. Check out Sundance at the Treehouse. These are exciting times.
Be not afraid. God is at work in the world....and Donald J. Trump is His builder.

Let's hope this tumult will shake people out of sleepy indifference to corporations selling us out to communist China.
As some old Marxist is said: The capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them.
I'm with Senator Cotton, I don't trust ANY communist.

Forgive the follow-up post, but I would also add a serious suggestion for making the best legitimate use of this crisis. Namely, start putting certain government functions out to competitive bidding to BOTH the current government agency that performs that service AND to any private company that wants to offer the same service.
Impose the following bid specifications:
1) Fixed term of no more than 4 years (even if the current government agency wins the bid)
2) Specified performance goals, both quantitative (metrics achieved) and qualitative (user satisfaction)
3) Quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reviews
4) Bonuses for performance that exceeds goals for speed/goals achieved/service quality
If the above were implemented, socialism would be dead forever, and the United States of America would have the most effective, most efficient, and most loved government ever conceived by homo sapiens. Imagine a CDC or FDA or HHS run like FedEx instead of like the DMV.
(Steve Mnuchin, if you're lurking here, seriously bring this to the next Cabinet meeting.)

These battles with the Enemedia are very entertaining. Americans are watching the entire press conference through Conservative Treehouse, Breitbart and recently cable channels. We see we are in good hands. Vice President Pence is a rock in troubled tines. Dr. Deborah Birx? of an elegance and distinction we thought had been lost in America. A dress more beautiful than the next each day, the new Grace Kelly for old people. Dr. Fauci tries but the press enemies trick him into saying the wrong things. Altogether a great team. The Enemedia are a disgrace unable to stand up when the president enters the room or when asking a question. Each question has two or three parts and jerks like Peter Alexander (NBC/Comcast) or the black gal in the back with the round face interrupt the President of the United States of America while he is answering. Now the Communist-Democrats are asking these Press conferences be not televised because the President’s job approval stays high. Heh.

Still waiting for the press to remind everyone that while President Trump was working closing the borders to parts of China, protecting us, (and being called all sorts of names by congress and the press), they were impeaching him. The dems and rinos are such horrible people. Doubt if I'll ever vote democrat again, even at the local level. I think this is being used to get President Trump out of office - nothing else has worked. What are they sooo afraid of?

Bottom line, when a person is seriously ill and believes that he or she may die of the Chinese virus they want hope and not hype. The media all around the country have been interviewing doctors, medical researchers, and political functionaries each of who give a little bit different answer when it comes to the virus. That gives the mainstream (liberal) media a basis to create controversy and to at times fraudulently blame President Trump for the virus coming to America. Trump has said for the last few weeks that the first priority for him and his medical and scientific teams is to save lives and support American workers. Trump would have no legitimate reason, politically, or otherwise not to do so, yet the mainstream (liberal) media questions every word that Trump uses, and every action that the Trump Administration has taken to attain a political advantage for the leftist and liberal Democrats, to no avail as Trump’s approval rating keeps going up when it comes to him managing the federal response to the Chinese virus pandemic. The media does not want to let on that under the federal system that has always been in force in government, that most of the on the ground first line management of this pandemic rests with the Governor of each State, and not the President of the USA.

There is no one in government or on the political scene more tested, successful and ready to handle this crisis. Imagine the enormous pressure Trump is under ON TOP OF the bulls--t that he has dealt with over the last four years. God has chosen a war time president, and it's Trump. While FDR asked private factories to retool to make planes, ships, and ammunition, Trump is doing the same thing with masks, ventilators and the like.
