House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has sparked a heated backlash as she appeared to be against considering cash payments for Americans in the midst of the coronavirus crisis. The California Democrat even has members of her own party criticizing her lack of support for measures that would get cash into the hands of Americans as the economy falters under the global pandemic. The fact that President Donald Trump and his fellow Republicans have floated the idea as a possibility has only angered the left even more. “We are the wealthiest nation in human history, and have the lowest borrowing costs of any major government on the planet,

Can I just ask this question, Nutty Nan aside, why send checks? I don't know how I feel about a nationwide bailout in the first place. But, sending checks that will be left in unattended mailboxes during the height of this fiasco/chaos doesn't seem prudent to me. When will the looting of mailboxes begin? As soon as some hear that checks are coming, they'll begin rifling through any mailbox not under lock and key or in the front door of one's house. I think this is a disaster waiting to happen. IMHO. Since Nutty Nan is a millionaires in her own personal life, and we're just serfs, I don't believe she thinks we need or deserve any help. Watching us lose our money in the stock market, lose a job, she'll just respond..."Let them eat cake!"

For once - - I'm with Nancy. This ridiculous push to subsidize and bail out anything that moves is disgusting. For companies - - there is business interruption insurance, renegotiation of loans, and bankruptcy reorganization. For individuals - - there is unemployment insurance and belt tightening. No subsidies - - no bailouts - - EVER !!!

Look, she is a complete moron and an imperialist dictator hellbent on even more political power. She is like Dracula who found himself running the Red Cross blood bank. To her, low wage earners and unemployed are mud under her shoes. They all vote for her in the SF Bay area because she is a liberal and they will take anything she dishes out no matter how loathsome and vile she is. If it was money for Planned baby Murders Inc or money for big labor union construction projects she would be smiling ear to ear and beaming how wonderful it is, but this time it's different. Since she has no compassion it is impossible for her to be compassionate.

In 2008 everyone was bailed out except regular people. Credit card companies got to keep 20% interest rates, etc. Yes, some people should have never been provided loans, but others simply lost their job and did strategic foreclosures. Congress should allow people with 401Ks to withdraw a limited amount without penalty fees. The should also turn back the Trump Tax increase...many deductions for regular people were eliminated and state and local tax deductions were capped.

Nancy held up a bailout funding bill until after Super Tuesday all so her fellow Democrats could campaign on it, and then when she did propose one, it included a clause to remove the Hyde Amendment, thus, was more concerned with abortion than people's jobs and finances. Then, she had "technical" issues in the massive pork bill that needed to be ironed out, again all due to her desire to put abortion ahead of people, and delay working on the funding bill for pure political reasons. Not sure if the $1000 per person, and $500 per child, is better than simply working with banks and landlords with a delay in paying mortgage, auto and student loans for 60 days.

Pelosi and the 'Rats objective has not changed. It remains "Get rid of (insert name of Republican president here)". I have heard certain democ'RAT politicians and media types calling the Wuhan virus "Trump's Katrina", trying to reinforce the idea that President Bush 'botched' the hurricane Katrina response, and that President Trump is 'botching' the Wuhan Virus response. Let me tell you something. Where Katrina hit hardest, on the Mississippi coast, the Federal and State governments COOPERATED, and the response was SUPERB! And don't let ANYONE tell you any DIFFERENT! I know! I live at Katrina's Ground Zero. We evacuated for 2 days when the storm hit, then came back and started putting our badly damaged house back together. After the storm, there was an immediate search for injured, trapped, or deceased people. In 2 days there were police and National Guard people all over the place to keep the 'low-lifes' from looting. In 3 days the supplied started POURING in.... water, Military rations (MRE's), medical help..... and the Church groups were fantastic! For an idea of the rebuilding, search on Youtube 'One Eyed Girl Katrina'....look for the thumbnail of a house with a blue tarp on the roof. In New Orleans, the response was Botched.... ON PURPOSE.....actually, it was SABOTAGED....by Democrats and Governor Blanco. She BLOCKED the Federal assistance, and she had the police BLOCK the Louisiana sportsmen and fishermen (later dubbed the 'Cajun Navy') who came -without being asked- with their boats to help evacuate the people of flooded New Orleans. Today the Democrats are doing the best to Delay and Stop President Trump from helping ALL Americans get through the virus outbreak. No matter what he does, according to them it's the wrong thing. While President Trump is organizing the best response in America's history, the Democrats are sitting around screaming "RAAACCCCIIIISSST!", "RAAACCCCIIIISSST!", "RAAACCCCIIIISSST!"..... Meantime doing everything they can to Delay real assistance, and load up every 'Must Pass' legislative bill with as much Leftist Pork as they can. The Democ'RATS do the same thing over and over..... make a situation Worse, then use their Media suck-ups to try to blame the Republicans. The Democ'RATS are happy making the American People suffer, so as to advance their 'RAT politics. DON'T Let 'em get away with it!

During his conference call on the coronavirus on Friday, former Vice President Joe Biden told his listeners that President Trump was not being the leader that we need during this unpredictable outbreak. [Tweet] The Trump campaign was quick to respond and remind Biden about the Obama administration's lackluster leadership during the Swine flu outbreak. “The only thing Joe Biden knows about handling a public health crisis is that the Obama White House had to apologize for his remarks that set off a panic during the swine flu outbreak in 2009," said Tim Murtaugh, Trump 2020 communications director.

The Whole of America   On March 13, President Trump declared a “whole of America approach” to fighting the coronavirus. And on March 17, he reinforced that point, tweeting, “The world is at war with a hidden enemy. WE WILL WIN!” And at his press conference on March 18, the self-described “wartime president” emphasized, “We’re going to win, we’re going to come back.” Thus we can see, the president is determined to set a tone of militant activist optimism; he pledged a stronger healthcare system in the future, but before we get there, he added, “We have to win the war first.”

A millennial single mom I know happened to be in a supermarket located in a North Shore suburb of Chicago Sunday when Governor J.B. As shoppers began getting news updates on their smartphones, she said there was a dramatic increase in the “intensity” of their shopping. People were moving quickly and scooping large quantities of anything they could get their hands on into their shopping carts. Within minutes, the shelves were nearly bare. Welcome to scarcity. Coronavirus shutdowns are forcing historically unprecedented changes to celebrations of Easter and Passover, with many religious institutions canceling or moving their services online. Easter, the most important feast in Christianity, falls on April 12 this year. In the Catholic Church, where the day is preceded by Holy Week, which includes a series of special masses and other services, several dioceses are already canceling the public celebration of those events. Catholic bishops in Ohio on Monday decided to cancel all public Easter masses in the state, a decision made in keeping with Republican Gov.
