Did Biden realize his discriminatory
pledge for his Supreme Court pick?

Original Article

In his debate with Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden made two pledges to voters and asked his opponent to do the same to nominate only a black woman for the next open Supreme Court seat and to choose a woman as his vice president. Even with identity politics, the pledge to impose a gender and race requirement for the next Supreme Court nominee is as ironic as it is troubling. What Biden was declaring, and what Sanders wisely avoided, would effectively constitute discrimination in admission to the Supreme Court. Indeed, the Supreme Court has declared that such race or gender conditions are strictly unconstitutional for admission to public colleges.

Sotomayor, the 'Wise Latina' is a perfect example of choosing a Supreme Court Justice that is predicated toward being "inclusive" through race and gender at the sacrifice of being "wise". The outcome of this stunt is that she reflects negatively on the wisdom of many competent Latinos and women who could have been a valuable addition to the federal judiciary system. But for the person appointing her, being the "First Black President" was the single most "attribute" that he brought to the table.

There are already enough women on the Supreme court. Liberal women , and gay women, and old women. Ginsberg is doing her best to hold on until Trump is gone. Why? So Biden can replace her with another woman. I think she may as well hang that one up.

The last two women that Biden and his pal Barry selected were complete failures. He is promising more of the same and hoping that it will work out this time? Why not just put Valerie Jarrett on the bench and ensure a third failure?

A week from now Biden won't even remember making that pledge! His family really should do the right thing and ease Biden into a comfy retirement.

Biden could care less about the qualifications for US Supreme Court Justices, and will pander for black votes in every way conceivable in his quest to get elected even putting the Rev. Al on the Supreme Court if Biden thought that would ensure him being elected. Nothing surprising there, as the Democrats know that they need a huge black vote to have a chance to win presidential election.

Prior to gaining national notoriety as California’s junior U.S. senator, Kamala Harris was widely considered a rising star in the Democratic Party. She spoke at the Democratic National Convention in 2012 as her state’s attorney general, entering to the tune of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin.’” Just as Barack Obama had been eight years earlier, Harris was being groomed for bigger things beyond her state’s borders. She was featured by McClatchy in a profile of the new Gen Xer politicians along with Senators Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and Chris Murphy (D-Conn.). It was thought that the spotlight would do for her what it did for Obama, transforming her from a local prospect

In this unprecedented crisis brought to us by the lying Communists in China, the COVID-19 pandemic panic has gone too far. America's truckers, the people we rely on to restock our empty grocery shelves, are being treated like disease vectors and worse, they've been forgotten. The state of Pennsylvania thought it was a good idea to shut down all the rest stops where truckers sleep, including closing the bathrooms—until the trucking lobby caught the ear of the president. Thirteen rest stops have been reopened in Pennsylvania, but our truckers are being forced to use porta-Johns that are far dirtier than the public bathrooms. How is this helping?

A worsening coronavirus pandemic has driven European leaders to revive border controls within the European Union after three decades of efforts to abolish internal borders within the continent. “The governments are really scared that the virus does not spread, so they are afraid of allowing any kind of freedom of movement,” Kinga Brudzinska, a foreign policy analyst at GLOBSEC in Slovakia, told the Washington Examiner. Italy’s stunning struggle to cope with the new contagion spurred Hungary and Austria to close borders with their southern neighbor on March 11. The coronavirus is quickly taking a sledgehammer to the historically low unemployment rates that have defined much of President Trump's time in office. The pandemic's toll on the economy is now a key focus of Washington’s response to the growing public health crisis, with Congress and the White House scrambling to provide relief for struggling workers and businesses. “It’s going to be a big problem,” said Jay Shambaugh, director of the Hamilton Project and a senior economics fellow at the Brookings Institution. “Unemployment is going to be where we see the economic damage, and is rising, frankly, faster than we expected just a week or two ago.”

A Washington Post fact-checker ruled Thursday that Joe Biden hadn't lied when he said he supported a fracking ban during Sunday's Democratic presidential debate. Rather, Biden had simply "described his fracking stance inaccurately." The Post gave Biden "Zero Pinocchios" for saying during the most recent Democratic debate that he opposed fracking entirely. Instead, the paper pointed to the Biden campaign's explanation that the candidate had "misspoken" and that "his position was the same as ever," opposing fracking only on public lands.

Bailouts, in general, are neither good nor popular. The most recent legislation billed as a “stimulus” package was President Barack Obama’s 2009 raft of special interest giveaways and green energy boondoggles. It’s understandable, then, that a lot of conservatives are very wary of the proposed economic responses to the coronavirus crisis. And the odds are that, whatever Congress passes, it will end up — either because of the statute or the implementation — being filled with immense waste and cronyism. No bank bailouts. No auto bailouts. No farm bailouts. No leisure bailouts. No bailouts.

It’s like the moronic mandarins of the mainstream media – luminaries like Honest Dan Rather, Brian “Badass Like Buttigieg” Williams, and Zombie Cronkite – got together to create a plan to make people hate the media even more than they already did. It was a daunting challenge, since people view the mainstream media as something akin to syphilis without the upside. But it’s as if they finally succeeded, accomplishing, against all odds, something besides failure, leveraging this pandemic to destroy the media forever. The Chinese Coronavirus Bat Soup Syndrome has taken what’s left of the media’s reputation, poured gasoline on it,

The coronavirus epidemic is slowing down in China, and will not pose a risk to the majority of people, an Israeli Nobel Prize laureate has said. Michael Levitt, an American-British-Israeli biophysicist who won the 2013 Nobel prize for chemistry for "the development of multiscale models for complex chemical systems," has become something of a household name in China over the last few months. Although his specialty is not in epidemiology, he accurately forecast the slowing down of the spread of the virus in February, giving hope to those affected by the lockdown.

With all of the Wuhan coronavirus panic monopolizing the news in the past week, something that has the potential to be a truly earth-shaking geopolitical event was largely missed. President Trump announced Friday that he was ordering the Department of Energy to buy up some 77 million barrels of oil to fill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, the massive store of crude oil the federal government has stashed in salt caverns along the Gulf Coast. The SPR’s capacity sits somewhere in the neighborhood of 713.5 million barrels; currently, it holds about 635 million barrels after Congress demanded last year that oil be sold off from the SPR.

On August 18, 1944, Senator Harry S. Truman met President Franklin D. Roosevelt for lunch at the White House. Truman had just been nominated to be Roosevelt’s running mate that year, and the two men dined on the White House lawn and chatted about the upcoming campaign. Truman had not seen the president for over a year and was shocked at Roosevelt’s haggard appearance. He noticed that FDR was so ill that he couldn’t even pour cream into his coffee. Despite seeing direct evidence of Roosevelt’s poor health, Truman told reporters afterwards that Roosevelt “Looked fine...He’s as keen as a briar.” Truman was lying. Roosevelt was a dying man,
