'You're not better because you're a
boy': Megan Rapinoe leads furious US
women’s soccer team in on-pitch protest

A dispute between the US Soccer Federation and the women’s national team escalated on Wednesday, leading to a player protest and a humiliating apology from the federation. Ahead of a 3-1 win over Japan in the final of the SheBelieves Cup in Frisco, Texas, the team turned their warm-up shirts inside out during the national anthems and team photo, hiding the national team logo, but not the four stars signifying their four World Cup wins.(Snip) The most recent development in the dispute arose from a court filing in which the federation argued that women had less physical ability than men and that this was “indisputable science”

Comments:

Obnoxious Megan and corporate sponsors including Budweiser, Visa, and Coca Cola agree that women do not have less physical ability than men. So why are there separate sports leagues for women? Think forward a move or two and these gals would be working as dog walkers or fitness coaches or something like that, instead of as sports professionals whose teams would be blown away by high school boys' teams.

Why is this woman so dedicated to anger? No-one said boys are "better" than girls. They said they have different physical abilities across the board. If this continues, I think we should make all teams co-ed and sit back and enjoy the fight to the death between team members.

As far as the pay issue - it is simply that relatively few viewers are attracted to watch women's sports. And as the women players show themselves to be obnoxious, anti-American, leftist harpies, that drives away viewers, so there is even LESS money available. And without the viewership, the simple economics are that there just isn't the money available for the equal pay. Reality. As far as athletic performance in almost all sports, yes, a competitor is better "because you are a boy". It's a hard, inescapable fact that women are weaker than men, on the average. Whining, screetching and lying about it won't change the performance issue, and this obnoxious behavior makes the economic issue worse. Forcing equal pay will force the shutdown of the league and there will be NO money, you fool.

Poor meg. Probably flunked biology. Big time. Men are built different because they have different roles to play out in life. They are stronger, thus better at sports. As hard as you try you sweetie will never beat a good player. But then men can’t do what a women can do. Birth a baby. Which is the greatest gift God has given to women. Sad that sports is your main reason for living.

If I followed this correctly, the International federation answered the suit saying that the level of play is higher on the men's team. The U.S. federation defended to Women so the Women decided to hide the U.S. logo by reversing their jerseys? If I comment on the logic level of the Women's team will I be called a misogynist?

Rapinoe is a petulant primadonna who appears to believe her job is to play soccer for money when, in reality, her job is to attract fans, advertisers and media outlets willing to pay money to watch. Perhaps she should settle her pay dispute by agreeing that the women's soccer team deserves a fixed percentage of the net revenue they generate after all expenses are paid. Seems fair and equitable to me. How about to you, Megan?

Our local HS boy's soccer team has 5 state championships in the last 7 years. They would absolutely torch any women's soccer team on the planet. Just a fact and it has nothing to do with one sex being 'better' than another. I gather that this woman doesn't like men and prefers women (in more ways than one) but that's no excuse for denying scientific fact.

FTA: Players filed the gender discrimination lawsuit in federal court in Los Angeles last year, claiming they are paid less than their counterparts on the men’s national team. I propose they change the pay formula for men's and women's teams. Pay the players in both leagues the same base salary along with a percentage of the ticket sales and TV revenue from their team's games. Players on the teams who attract the most fans to the stadiums and have the highest TV ratings will make the most money.

DIDN'T YOU (and the other players) SIGN YOUR (and theirs) CONTRACT AGREEING TO WHAT YOU (and them) ARE CURRENTLY BEING PAID? You had the choice to reject or accept the money and benefits offered by the US Soccer Federation. You chose to accept the amounts offered in the contract. Do not complain about something that you willingly accepted! When your contract expires, negotiate for more money like the men did.
