It ought to be a matter of shame for California that it's still counting its primary ballots from days ago in stale three-day old news. The latest estimate is that they've got five and a half million so far counted and around three and a half million votes to go. Election day, as CalMatters notes, is a misnomer, California has 'election month.'
But nope, they're bottling it and marketing it as "enfranchisement," saying that all the many, many, many ways to vote now in California now are why it's taking so long to count the ballots still sitting around.
"California counts its votes in its own good time,"

There are many ballots yet to be ''harvested'' among the homeless. A pack of cigarettes, a couple of beers, or a couple of dollars for a taco....

It doesn't matter how many votes are cast in CA. The Dems have rigged the vote so that only the top two vote getting candidates appear on the ballot. Since that usually limits the selection to the one party, Dems, they have successfully eliminated competition and disenfranchised all members of all other parties. The current governor with obvious intent promoted a republican he knew he could beat to avoid a much stronger Dem candidate in the final election. He's also Nancy P's nephew so you know where he gets it.

All the California vote schemes are now sitting in the Senate as HB1. If we lose the Senate and this goes into effect next year, bye bye Republic.

Once the Democrat masters "harvest" all their after-election day ballots, it will be a record high turnout.
You know, like those 99.9% turnouts in "Dear Leader" style "democracies." You know, like North Korea, Soviet bloc states, and Saddam Hussein's Iran.

California, like New York, is an outlier state. Cancel them both out and there’ll be a little bit less voting fraud.

"many, many, many ways to vote ", that is the problem...too many ways to 'diddle' the outcome...ONE day, ONE vote with photo VOTER ID, thumb in purple ink to STOP multiple votes, no MAIL in, NO vote harvesting, NO absentee (unless certified hospital bound by a Doctor)...

No votes that have not arrived by the close of the voting times should be allowed. No State that cannot provide full results within 24 hours of that time should count . We da*n well know Ca. is rigging the vote vount.

Interesting how the Democrats use a proportional allocation in their primary, but demand the winner-take-all in the Electoral College allocation?
Set up a fingerprint technology system, and link it to all the government data bases to remove those who've died, moved, become incarcerated, etc.. And, you won't be able to cast more than one vote, or cross state lines. Then, allocate EC votes proportionally - more districts would likely become much more competitive with people who feel it's not worth it to actually vote.
And, they likely know who is voting since all registered voters received a mail-in ballot, which is based on your registration, thus, likely has an indication if your ballot is (D), (R), or (Independent). What they should have is a system that later notifies you when they received, and counted, your mail-in ballot.

It's not "How many votes did we get?", rather "How many votes do we need?".

My friends who live in upper New York State are very frustrated. NYC rules the state government. And crazy liberal policies ensue. Friends who live in Illinois are frustrated. Chicago rules the state government with predictable results. My friends in Michigan know they would not have their goofy Democrat governor if Detroit were to sink into the great lakes. And my friends in California are moving because San Francisco determines the direction and Los Angeles supplies the votes (no matter how many are needed, no matter who supplies them, like the other big cities cited) so that the far left Democrats in Sacramento can destroy the state. Do you see the problem? Help these cities become self-governing US territories without a voice in national elections and everyone could be happy. And let the cities be the laboratories for enlightened liberal policies - until they all died from Bubonic Plague, Typhus or in a Homeless Zombie Apocalypse. Note CA governor Newsom has declared a state of emergency in California (how very woke), there is community spread in the Sacramento area, but Newsom has not told state workers (by far the largest group of employees in the area) to work from home. Instead they all flock from every suburb and exurb into downtown Sacramento (with its large homeless population) to share whatever pathogens may be present and carry them back out to the surrounding area. What emergency?
