Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Not to be confused with Pocahontas) arguably should end her presidential campaign after an embarrassing third-place finish in her home state of Massachusetts. As of 11 p.m. Eastern, former Vice President Joe Biden had won the state with 33 percent of the vote, with Sen. Bernie Sanders (S-USSR) behind him at 27 percent. Warren trailed at 22 percent, almost 100,000 votes behind Biden.(Snip for graphic)Not only did Warren lose her own state but she took third place, behind both the ostensible moderate Biden and the socialist Bernie Sanders. If a presidential candidate cannot win her own state, how can she convince voters in other states to support her?

Warren is not a native of Mass. She was born in Oklahoma, and is a carpetbagger who came to Mass to cheat a real Native American out of a job. And a mass native out of a position in Washington. Perhaps a few dems are starting to realize how they've been taken advantage of! Or they just don't like her.

Let's not lose sight of the bigger picture here. She knew it was over by South Carolina. The much more important question is: What did they offer her to stay in and split the socialist vote with Bernie ... at his expense! She had to leave and knew it but for a couple of million down in the Turk & Caicos islands would get me to stay in and take a beating. At least I finally got something out of it! Looking like a jerk and getting paid to look like a jerk are two different things. Take a moment and add up BOTH Bernie's and Warrens vote and you'll see that total creams Biden in several states.

Ms Sanders will remain in the race even though she has NO chance of winning. It's called 'pay to play' and she is most likely going to be paid, A BUNCH, to drain votes from Sanders, which will enable Biden to win the nomination ( even if he has dementia and will make so-called gaffe after gaffe). As President, he would NOT run the Country, the DNC and handlers will take care of that for him. In fact, after a few years, he may not even remember he WAS the President. He would just be a President in name only.

She stays in at the request of the DNC to make sure Sanders doesn't get the nomination. Her price: The VP slot. She reassures everyone that she is the "brains" behind the ticket as Biden is clearly not all there. If Biden wins, she becomes the shadow President. Biden likely only serves one term, or maybe even just a partial term and she takes over. She always has a plan, a cynical plan, but a plan....

Why did MSNBC sack Chris Matthews? 7 replies
Posted by Pluperfect 3/5/2020 4:28:09 AM Post Reply
Earlier this week, Chris Matthews announced on his MSNBC show “Hardball” that he was quitting. He then walked off the set. Later, we learned that the network forced him to resign. Why? One explanation is that Matthews made female guests on his show and some female employees “uncomfortable” with sex-charged banter. But reportedly, Matthews has been doing this forever. It’s true that an obscure journalist recently called Matthews out for his comments in an article for GQ. “Why haven’t I fallen in love with you yet?” is an example. But these types of remark, though boorish, aren’t the stuff of firings. Surely, there is more to Matthews’s discharge than this.

“In just three months we’ve gone from 1 percent in the polls to being a contender for the Democratic nomination for president,” Mike Bloomberg said in Florida just as the Super Tuesday tsunami washed over his head. This was utterly delusional, even if they did love him in American Samoa. So then former Mayor Mike flew home, where aides said he would ponder an existential question: If a man can’t purchase the presidency for cash, what’s the point of being a billionaire 65 times over?

Former Vice President Joe Biden won what looks to be at least a narrow delegate victory in yesterday's Super Tuesday contests, which will award a third of all delegates to the Democratic National Convention in July. While the campaign is far from over, Sen. Bernie Sanders' (I-Vt.) march to the nomination that looked so likely just a week ago is a long-gone dream for the progressive left. As he and his campaign look upon the wreckage of what could have been a casual romp en route to Milwaukee, they absolutely must correct course and start the difficult process of appealing to mainstream Democrats

If you don’t like Mike Bloomberg, Elizabeth Warren, or Bernie Sanders, Super Tuesday night is just delightful so far. For the past few months, Americans have been living in a fascinating political-science experiment: how far could a campaign carry an uninspiring candidate with essentially unlimited spending and TV ads? Tonight, we got the answer: not very far at all! Bloomberg spent a half-billion dollars to win American Samoa and a handful of delegates here and there across 15 states. It is the most expensive failure in American political history. The 2020 Bloomberg campaign makes the past efforts of H. Ross Perot, Steve Forbes, Michael Huffington, and Jon Corzine look tightfisted.

Bernie Sanders’s campaign has been sounding the alarm. The “establishment,” worried sick about the Vermont socialist’s early successes, is conspiring to thwart his movement of “working people” by denying him the nomination. President Trump has echoed this theme. Indeed, his campaign claims, absurdly, that Sanders is the victim of a coup. It’s true that establishment Democrats are worried about Sanders being the Democratic nominee. It’s also true that socialists are worried that Sanders won’t win the nomination. What’s the problem? All factions and ideologies have the right to worry about the other faction or ideology gaining the upper hand. Conspiracies are problematic, but where is the conspiracy to deny Sanders the nomination?

Though a recent Boston Globe/WBZ TV/Suffolk University poll shows Warren neck-and-neck with Bernie Sanders in Massachusetts, FiveThirtyEight’s polling average shows Bernie Sanders with a five-point lead overall, and Warren’s lack of an obvious lead does not portend great things for her candidacy. Second place would be an ignominious result for Warren, and yet it would be her highest finish of the primary. Massachusetts remains the only Super Tuesday state that Warren could feasibly win. Last month, the delayed results of the Iowa caucuses caused a crisis within the political world. Fundraising boosts were lost. Momentum was not enjoyed. It did not seem like democracy’s best week. If the measure of a successful election were only how quickly the results are released, then California would be a disaster. But that’s not how election officials in the state see it as they prepare for the primary election on Tuesday, or Super Tuesday, when California and 13 other states vote. They’re focused on accuracy over speed. “We prioritize the right to vote and election security over rushing the vote count,”
