Idaho girl, 11, brings AR-15 rifle
to gun legislation hearing

An 11-year-old girl appeared at a gun legislation hearing in Idaho’s capital Monday wearing a loaded AR-15 rifle slung over her shoulder. The girl, Bailey Nielsen, was accompanied by her grandfather, Charles Nielsen, who spoke to a House panel at the Idaho Statehouse in support of legislation that would allow visitors to Idaho who can legally possess firearms – but not necessarily do – to carry a concealed handgun in urban areas.

Comments:

Bravo for the little lady.
In many places on the Left Coast and in NE part of the country, this little girl would be arrested, maybe just shot by SWAT, but in Idaho, she is still a law abiding citizen, petitioning her legislators, as it should be.
At the same time that Bloomie wants to outlaw all semi-auto guns, almost certainly wants NO concealed carry permits allowed, and certainly no permitless Constitutional Carry, we have more and more of the Free America states opening up their gun laws, making it EASIER for people to "...keep and bear arms" as the 2nd Amendment intended.

There are urban areas in Idaho? There is Boise, but Boise looks more like a large suburb than a city with an urban area. Conceal carry is probably not an issue in Idaho for now, but with a large influx of people from California and other liberal states, look for Idaho to become another anti-gun state. Where conceal carry is really needed, it's not allowed.

So? What's the big deal? Not much point in being a 2nd Amendment supporter if you don't exercise the right.

This grandfather has a granddaughter I bet he's very proud of ( I would be ). When these types of hearings come up what is wrong with showing some pride and that our children and/or grandchildren have been taught to believe the same way we do ? As far as we know, the young lady may have wanted to be there and asked to go. If we don't start using some of the same tactics as the dark side and stop trying to be so 'above it all' and 'better than that', we're gonna lose this war. And make no mistake, we're in a war for the future of this country. Nothing grandstanding about it.

This isn't grandstanding. This is about FREEDOM something most Americans are afraid of. Guns are a tools. Guns scare people because of ignorance. Before TV and the other garbage funneled into your house every night this would never be an issue. Once you understand what you are afraid of the fear goes away and you are liberated. Because of the lessons of learning about GUNS you automatically become more self assured and confident. You are taught to read and write, you should be able to be taught how to fire and strip an AR15

How about some common sense ? I am okay with her shooting and support the Second Amendment, but why brag about it being loaded in court? That might be okay in Idaho today, but with rampant illegal immigration and refugees planted everywhere, will you think the same with someone open carrying an AR-15 with the intent to commit a crime?

#9, "...the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed". Lots of folks SAY "I support the Second Amendment' but then complain that "people are walking around with loaded guns!" Yep, that is exactly what is supposed to be NOT INFRINGED upon. It's called Freedom, and it's the difference between slaves and free men.

What makes the AR 15 the classic firearm for an 11 year old is its friendly comfort and lack of felt recoil! One can “plink” all day without bruising one’s shoulder...and they fire a super sonic bullet, which makes them highly accurate and effective! If I had a child of around 10, we would be shooting! My dad bought me my first gun, a bolt action .410 with a full choke when I was 10 and we hunted pheasants in the cornfields of Iowa together! Memories!!!

Recently, A. Welderson wrote an article on American Thinker arguing that engineers make lousy U.S. presidents. As an engineer, I would like to defend the profession. Welderson's examples, Herbert Hoover and Jimmy Carter, had one trait in common that most engineers do not have. They wanted to be president. First, I should give you some information about engineers. Most of us are conservative. This is confirmed in a poll in an engineering magazine. It is consistent with my observations. In contrast, our managers are often Democrats. Considering that I am in the defense industry and Republican presidents

The history of socialism in America did not begin with Bernie Sanders or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Rather, it began in 1825 on the banks of the Wabash River in Indiana. On April 27 of that year, Robert Owen, a Welsh textile manufacturer-turned-philanthropist, welcomed 800 eager arrivals to the settlement he had christened New Harmony. New Harmony was to be a "community of equality" heralding a new way of life. Owen's followers would soon coin a new name for his vision: "utopian socialism."

Researchers at the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the University of Texas at Austin claimed to have made a breakthrough in their coronavirus research on Wednesday and said their data could help develop a vaccine. Scientists were able to create a 3D atomic-scale map of the part of the virus that attaches itself to human cells and causes infection, according to UT News. Mapping what researchers call the "spike protein" is a vital step toward developing vaccines and antiviral drugs. Jason McLellan, an associate professor at UT Austin, spoke with Fox News on Thursday about the virus and said researchers hope to study the 3D map,

President Trump brings razor-sharp instincts to the political picture, and nowhere was it more obvious than in his appearance in Bakersfield, California, signing a bill to clean up the junk-science federal "research" on water for the parched Central Valley and, better still, ordering the feds to give California's Central Valley farmers the water for their farms that they already paid for. According to Politico: "What they're doing to your state is a disgrace," Trump said. "After decades of failure and delays in ensuring critical water rights for the people of the state, we are determined to finally get your problems solved."

These thoughts reflect the writer's concern about the worsening political and social conditions in Germany, a nation whose importance — for America, Europe, and the world — should require no laboring to a readership of politically sophisticated Americans. What's happening today in Germany is deeply disturbing. And it's not for the reason casual American observers, including many conservatives, might think based on information derived from the mainstream English-language media. Contrary to these purveyors of globalist, multi-cultural propaganda, the reason for growing unease about Germany is not the presence in the German parliament (Bundestag), and persistent electoral strength, of "Die Alternative für Deutschland" ("The alternative for Germany," or AFD)

As we approach this year’s elections, the purveyors of socialism have tried to rebrand their product by calling it “democratic socialism.” The sales force and marketing department of democratic socialism, the Democratic Party, and the mainstream media, are plying a new fairy tale that democratic socialism is nothing like socialism.
