Biden promises one-term presidency if
his 'energy and mental acuity' decline

Joe Biden said that he would not seek a second term as president if his health deteriorates while in office. A voter at a CNN town hall in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Thursday night asked the former vice president, 77, if he would commit to serving only one term. "No, I wouldn't do that, but, I tell you what, you're going to be able to make a judgment," Biden said. "And, by the way, the two youngest people on the stage now are me and Buttigieg," he joked, referring to 38-year-old former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, the youngest candidate in the race.

There's a plank to stand on Joe, yikes. "I'm in pretty good health, but, look, I guarantee you this: If anything changed in my health, making it incapable for me to fully exert all the energy and mental acuity that was needed to be done, then I give you my word: I would not run again," Biden said.

When a person's mental ability declines, they lose the ability to make decisions. So he will be senile and unable to resign. That is the problem. Same reason we have those 80 and 90 year old people in Congress, the national old folks' home. Right, Nancy?

More than anything going on with the deranged dems right now, this "selling" point makes me laugh every time I hear it. You think his campaign managers would tell him to stop saying this. It is telling people, I am too old, and don't worry, I will step down after you elect me.

You are already there Spanky. Best hang up your campaign and call it a day. You are getting more and more painful to watch, and I am sure that the Foreign governments watching this are shaking their heads in baffled amazement that you are still running. I actually blame the fact that you are still in the race on the ambitions of your wife. She really wants to be FLOTUS, in spite of the poor state of your health. That is not a loving wife, that is an ambitious and selfish one.

Biden is permanently buzzed and blessedly oblivious, a nearly comically nescient individual who hasn't an iota of self-awareness. Both senile and of low intelligence, he knows nothing but likes making insensible noises with his mouth, which can present him with problems. When he's caught in another irrationality, his usual defense is "Come on, man." Kenneth, what's the frequency?

Yes, but if we elect him and his mental acuity declines even further, how would he realize it? He claims (laughably) he wouldn´t run again, but we´d be stuck with him until the next election. Joe wants America to create yet another monumental problem for itself, just so we can "enjoy" Joe as he is until the darkness comes. I think it already has.

From the looks of Biden these days it appears that his energy and mental acuity have already declined. So electing Biden would essentially be putting whoever is selected as Biden’s Vice-Presidential pick in the White House as President after an uncertain period. Chances are that person, who may well be unelectable in his or her own rite, will actually be selected by Barack Obama and other Democrat leaders, in return for their support, as the politician who they want to see as President after Biden most certainly bows out due to health concerns after a period of time as President. Clearly the three leading Democrat candidates, Sanders, Biden, and Bloomberg are too old to be President and successfully complete two four year terms without a big possibility of being replaced by another leftist or liberal Democrat who the American people would not elect in his or her own rite if that person was at the top of the Democrat ticket.

Former National Security Advisor John Bolton admitted Wednesday that his testimony in President Donald Trump’s recent impeachment proceedings involving Ukraine would have had no impact on the trial’s outcome even after sections of his upcoming book leaked attempting to convict the president in its final days. “People can argue about what I should have said and what I should have done,” Bolton said at Vanderbilt University Wednesday night during a forum with his predecessor Susan Rice, according to ABC News. “I will bet you a dollar right here and now my testimony would have made no difference to the ultimate outcome.”

Should Utah Sen. Mitt Romney attempt another shot at the White House — but this time on the independent ticket, with former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg as his running mate? The hypothetical Romney-Bloomberg ticket would give millions and millions of independent and moderate Democratic and Republican voters stuck in the middle a solid choice for president, which doesn’t exist now between democratic-socialist Bernie Sanders and current White House occupant and Twitter-flamethrower President Donald Trump. That’s what author, Maryland business executive and former U.S. Senate candidate Neal Simon wrote in his article he shared with Lee Lonsberry on KSL NewsRadio's show Live Mic.

On Tuesday, news broke that the Queen had banned Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from marketing the “Sussex Royal” brand. Friday morning, another story broke, saying that Meghan was whining about this because she and Harry had already invested money in selling themselves. Also on Friday, the Queen won and Meghan backed down. Queen Elizabeth comes from a generation that holds that you can’t eat your cake and have it. In other words, when you make choices, you have to take both the benefit and the burden of that choice. Meghan Markle, on the other hand, is a child of the Veruca Salt generation.

So none of that’s surprising.”He continued, “Well, that whole thing, “Gone with the Wind” and “Sunset Boulevard,” that all smacks of a dog whistle hearkening back to an earlier era

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom said that medical doctors should be able to prescribe housing in the same way they prescribe medication to sick people Wednesday during his 2020 State of the State Address. “Health care and housing can no longer be divorced. After all, what’s more fundamental to a person’s well-being than a roof over their head?” Newsom asked during the address. “Doctors should be able to write prescriptions for housing the same way they do for insulin and antibiotics.” The crowd erupted in applause.

A newly discovered species of snail has been named after teen climate change activist Greta Thunberg, scientists announced in a new study published Thursday. The critter, which was discovered in Brunei on the island of Borneo, now has the scientific name Craspedotropis gretathunbergae. "The newly described snail belongs to the so-called caenogastropods, a group of land snails known to be sensitive to drought, temperature extremes and forest degradation," snail expert and study lead author Menno Schilthuizen said in a statement. The tiny mollusk, which is about 2 millimeters in size, was discovered by citizen-scientists from the tour group Taxon Expeditions

NEW ORLEANS—Standing in line at the hardware store on the edge of the French Quarter one December Monday, I overheard the cashier talking to a regular customer about manhole covers that had exploded just before dawn that morning a couple of blocks away. The metal discs had burst into buildings and crashed into the underside of a car, which in turn caught fire. Power outages and evacuations had ensued. This was just the latest addition to a cluster of troubling events. In the previous few days, a turbine powering the low-lying city’s storm-drainage system had also exploded, unrelated water-main ruptures had flooded neighborhoods on opposite sides of town,
