Bloomberg in debate:
Billions of dollars, zero vision

Michael Bloomberg had a lot of bad moments in his first debate as a Democratic candidate for president. He had little to say when Elizabeth Warren slammed him for having called some women, at various times in the past, "fat broads" and "horse-faced lesbians." He seemed conflicted about stop-and-frisk. He was weak when confronted with his practice of making some women who worked for him sign non-disclosure agreements. But even with all that, Bloomberg saved the worst for last. It came after the fighting ended and NBC moderators asked for closing statements. If there were a time for Bloomberg to offer a vision for the country,

Love it #1! I don't know which is more pathetic, the candidate who has to pay for positive comments, or the people willing to do it. This is what the dems think, they can gin up FAKE support and in contrast, look at one of President Trump's rallies... And THIS is why the libs have never been able to compete with Rush Limbaugh.

All that time and money invested in his ad campaign, and it;s all gone to waste as he steps out in public and proves he's not Presidential material.

Despite widely different professed values and positions, ALL the candidates - Bolshevik Bernie, Bloomie the Farmer, Creepy Joe, Pocahontas and the Mayor of Bend Over IN. have one thing in common. They are frauds. Every last one of them.. Whatever the Donald is, he is genuine. WYSIWYG. He will rip 'em apart in any debate.

I had no interest at all in watching the dim debacle and saw the President's Phoenix rally start to finish. But, a few comments. Bloomers thinks he can bludgeon the dim base into supporting him with his campaign ads. Having hijacked the dim party with his wealth, he stands to split the party into two pieces because Gramp's won't go quietly this time. And the msm is already pushing Bloomers. I see that Obie has stuck his nose in it as directed by his globalist minders and now appears in Bloomer's ads. I would not rule out Bloomers getting the nomination at a brokered convention. However, I would not rule out Gramp's getting the nomination at a new Socialist Democrats Party convention. Of some concern to me are the RINOs, those who never really warmed up to Trump, throwing their support to Bloomers. People like Pierre Delecto taking their never-Trump base with them. But, first things first. Bloomers has to start winning some primary delegates. And, after last night's circus, it would appear that none of the other candidates are about to concede and throw any freebie delegates in Bloomer's direction.

Bloomberg may have some sort of vision but it no doubt benefits him and nobody else, just like the rest of those losers. There are so many things that could benefit the world by spending $500 million dollars on yet he chooses to buy air time to spread his lies and attempt to establish a dictatorship. Give it up, Mike, you obviously don't have what it takes.

I heard a woman on Bloomberg News yesterday speak about Trump's pardon of Rod Blagojevich, and she mentioned that Blagojevich had appeared on Trump's Apprentice program and that they had a long relationship, and I'm thinking - that's not true - he did appear on Trumps television program, but I would bet they never spoke to each other again. That's the scary problem - too many people in the communication industry will say anything - true or not - and get paid for saying things they know are not true. Small lie, perhaps, but they add up, and Bloomberg has the money to spread around to a lot of people who have no problem with that kind of management.

Bloomers has spent over 300 million dollars to show he is just like the rest of the field. Q: Mike, why are you running for President? A: I hate trump, and I can beat him with my billions. Q: All the other candidates say the same thing. Why else are you running? A: I want to ban coal, and nationalize healthcare! Q: Obama already tried that. The other candidates say the same thing. How are you different from them? A: Uhhhhh…..I can beat Trump!!! The guy is pathetic. Saw it in 2016 and now in 2020. How can so many people with decades of experience be so clueless when it comes to contending with Trump What they are doing doesn't work, but all they do is double-down.

Beating a dead horse I know, but I heard some of the President's interview after Roger Stone's sentencing today, and the President was reiterating that "Stone was not a part of my presidential campaign (maybe Stone did a little consulting at the very beginning), but he was not a part of my presidential campaign", and then the woman at Fox News signed off by referring to Stone as the President's former associate, and I wanted to scream at the radio that he was just on the periphery; he was not his associate - but I figured it was a waste of time.

Clearly Bloomberg is an arrogant globalist who has made a lot of his money in adversarial countries like China, so it is fool’s gold to believe that Bloomberg would put America and American workers first when it would come to him dealing with those countries.

A former adviser on criminal justice issues to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) was plotting a violent prison escape, stashing guns and ammunition inside a soon-to-be-opened prison, authorities said this week. Nashville police said Wednesday that Alex Friedmann, a prison reform advocate who helped shape the Vermont senator's criminal justice agenda, spent months plotting an escape for inmates of the city's detention center. Sanders worked with Friedmann to develop positions on criminal justice in the lead up to his 2016 presidential campaign—positions Sanders still touts.

Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren each started the month scraping perilously close to the bottom of their campaign bank accounts, posing an existential threat to their candidacies as the Democratic primary goes national. They’re up against well-funded machines threatening to dominate the Democratic race: Bernie Sanders, whose recent rise in the polls has come during a major spending streak fueled by his online donors, and billionaire Mike Bloomberg, whose personal fortune has vaulted him into the middle of the campaign to take on President Donald Trump.

Sacramento- After a group of homeless moms simply moved into a vacant three-bedroom house in Oakland owned by a company that invests in local real estate, local progressives turned them into folk heroes. These women weren’t squatters who took something that wasn’t theirs, but valiant protesters who were standing up for their communities against — all together now — corporate speculators. As one of these Oakland moms said, “Housing is a human right. I pay bills there. I pay water, PG&E, internet. We live there. We want to purchase the home; it needs to belong back in the hands of the community. It was stolen through the foreclosure crisis.”

…is today’s Annual Report of the Council of Economic Advisers, which was issued along with the Economic Report of the President. The vicissitudes of the various campaigns come and go, but the administration’s excellent record on the economy remains the most important factor in the election. To Democrats, the message is: read it and weep. The CEA report is long, 435 pages with appendices. But the most important points can be summarized in a few graphs. The unemployment rate is a flawed but important metric. This shows how unemployment has declined, contrary to what was predicted by the Congressional Budget Office prior to the 2016 election:

If you are dumb enough to slobber over a socialist then you’re already inclined toward being a hapless mark, so it should be no surprise that you Bernie dorks are about to get screwed over again by the Democratic Party. Here’s how it’s going to go: Because you are stupid – you support a socialist, so you are presumptively stupid – you think that if you work really hard and win the votes the establishment creeps who own the Democratic Party are going to let you have a say. Judith Curry constructs an interesting global warming analysis by beginning with today’s climate as a baseline, and assessing the next 30 years, from 2020 to 2050: In the midst of all the angst about 1.5oC or 2.0oC warming or more, as defined relative to some mythical time when climate was alleged to be ‘stable’ and (relatively) uninfluenced by humans, we lose sight of the fact that we have a better baseline period – now. One advantage of using ‘now’ as a baseline for future climate change is that we have good observations to describe the climate of ‘now’. For this purpose, at least, Curry accepts the assumption

It’s still early, but the Democratic Party nomination process reminds me of Yogi Berra’s line about center field at Yankee stadium: “It gets late early out there.” It’s already late for the Democrats, and it is becoming clear that the Democrats are doomed this year. At the debate tomorrow night, Bloomberg is going to be the big target because he’s got the means to challenge everybody. The big beneficiary will be Bernie Sanders. Even though he is pulling away in the polls, I doubt the other candidates have the wit or ability to shoot at two targets at once. Expect Bernie’s surge to continue. Bernie is a sure loser in November.

Video of Mike Bloomberg belittling farmers surfaced this week. His campaign team, which is spending money furiously trying to purchase a foothold in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, has treated it mostly as a distraction. It may do much more damage than they expect because of what it says about their candidate. The clip (start here at about the 42:00 mark) was from 2016, when Bloomberg was still a registered independent, but only technically. The former Republican mayor of New York City endorsed Hillary Clinton that year and delivered a speech at the Democratic National Convention.
