As desert locusts ravage African crops, EU-funded NGOs maneuver in the Kenyan parliament to leave farmers defenseless. Caught flat-footed by the emergency, the FAO struggles to purchase enough pesticides to avert catastrophe. Experts fear it may be too late to avert famine. The worst locust swarms in 70 years descended on East Africa barely a month ago and have already devoured hundreds of thousands of acres of staple crops throughout the region. Every day, the swarms grow larger and travel further into the African continent. As the crop losses mount, experts fear that this new plague, which is hitting African food systems already challenged by epidemic infestations of Fall Armyworm

Comments:

German Green Party lunatic leftists are working hard to cause a severe famine in East Africa, especially Kenya.
"Greens" will make people starve. Their nonsensical push to block needed pesticides will ensure famine in the region. They are even opposed to tractors.

I imagine the German Green Party’s Heinrich Boll Foundation views a potential famine as a positive, fewer people is their ultimate goal, isn't it?

We are not interested now but those 25 million will soon become refugees and "locusts" here in America when the humanitarians declare that it is our responsibility to solve their problems. Can't wait to have more Kenyans and Somolians here propping up our diversity programs.

I agree with #4. If the leftist Democrats win the November election look for being devastated by locusts to become a legal ground to obtain asylum in the USA. That would ensure that an unlimited supply of future socialist minded foreign born Democrat socialist voters being able to get into the USA, further permanently changing US demographics, who could easily fit in as a new category within the Democrat identity policy schemes.

President Trump brings razor-sharp instincts to the political picture, and nowhere was it more obvious than in his appearance in Bakersfield, California, signing a bill to clean up the junk-science federal "research" on water for the parched Central Valley and, better still, ordering the feds to give California's Central Valley farmers the water for their farms that they already paid for. According to Politico: "What they're doing to your state is a disgrace," Trump said. "After decades of failure and delays in ensuring critical water rights for the people of the state, we are determined to finally get your problems solved."

Denny Hamlin emerged victorious at the Daytona 500 on Monday night, winning the iconic NASCAR race for a third time, but it was overshadowed by a string of frightening crashes -- including a fiery wreck that sent Ryan Newman to the hospital. Newman flipped several times; his car ultimately crossed the finish line engulfed in flames.    Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening, according to NASCAR Executive Vice President Steve O'Donnell, who read a statement from Roush Fenway Racing Monday night.

These thoughts reflect the writer's concern about the worsening political and social conditions in Germany, a nation whose importance — for America, Europe, and the world — should require no laboring to a readership of politically sophisticated Americans. What's happening today in Germany is deeply disturbing. And it's not for the reason casual American observers, including many conservatives, might think based on information derived from the mainstream English-language media. Contrary to these purveyors of globalist, multi-cultural propaganda, the reason for growing unease about Germany is not the presence in the German parliament (Bundestag), and persistent electoral strength, of "Die Alternative für Deutschland" ("The alternative for Germany," or AFD)

This isn’t your 2016 Bernie Sanders. Yes, he won New Hampshire. And yes, the PredictIt market has him winning every state on Super Tuesday. But the biggest takeaway from last night as far as the Bernie Sanders campaign goes is that he lost half his voter base from the last election. The question now is whether he can recover that and beat President Trump. Wall Street highly doubts it. It’s already celebrating, coronavirus be damned.
Assuming Sanders is begrudgingly nominated by the powers-that-be in the Democratic Party (he is an I-VT, in the DNCs mind), this is a man who has lost a significant part of the mojo he had

A comment published last week in Nature, a leading scientific journal, has thrown a monkey wrench into hundreds of studies and media stories that previously predicted dire climate consequences in the future due to increased carbon dioxide (CO2) in our atmosphere. The consequences were predicted by a computer model called Representative Carbon Pathways (RCP), and the worst-case scenario model, RCP8.5, had been cited more than 2,500 times in scientific journals and in hundreds of media stories as the primary need for "urgent action" on climate. Predictions from the RCP8.5 model suggested maximum global temperature increases of nearly 6°C (10.8°F) by the year 2100, shown in Figure 1.
