The Great Liberal Freakout Has Begun

Joe Biden could finish as low as fifth place in tonight’s New Hampshire primary results. Certainly, if we can trust the most recent poll, the former vice president will do no better than third, behind Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg. Even a third-place finish in New Hampshire for Biden would be an improvement over his dismal showing in the Iowa caucus, in which he placed fourth behind Sanders, Buttigieg, and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren. But as badly as Warren’s campaign has floundered, it’s unlikely Biden could beat her in her own backyard. What most troubles the dreams of establishment Democrats

Admittedly, the Democrat ideology is strong: Dem voters are willing to see all the gains the country has made in the last three years go "poof" simply to be able to say that their chosen pols are in power. Cutting off one's nose despite ones face? Killing the goose that lays the golden eggs? Penny wise but pound foolish? Either way, those who profess to love this country yet think POTUS doesn't meet their idea of a "proper president" who tilts his head back, looks down his nose at the masses and acts all scholarly (see OBAMA) while placing America in a time machine (going BACK in time) should simply relocate to, say, Venezuela and leave America to those of us who want it to thrive.

They are all a bunch of losers, and we would revert to Hussein-like conditions very quickly if one of them got in power. Remember $4.50 gas?

Carville: "I’m afraid that Donald Trump is going to get re-elected and I have to do this four more years and I don’t think we can make it. I really don’t.… The country can’t continue like this." WOW! What unhinged hysteria. Can you imagine people like this in charge of the country during a crisis? Cowering under their desks and crying, "I don’t think we can make it.". WOW! Of course some of this is hype to scare people away from Bernie. But the dems are caught between hells of their own making, the failed, corrupt establishment that has made ZERO inroads against Trump, and the Socialists. The establishment is facing the fatal flaw in their nature, they have major problems with results, as in never getting any; BOCare, the economy, ISIS, immigration, Mueller, impeachment, counting the Iowa primary, etc. Most of the time, with blind loyalty from their acolytes and media cover, they get away with it. But now their acolytes are demanding results to GET RID OF TRUMP and the establishment dems have delivered nada en absoluto. The Socialists problem is ... that they are Socialists. Socialism doesn't work. There are several sterling examples of the outcome of Socialism; Cuba, Venezuela, the USSR. The fanatics of the dem party are too crazy to accept the lessons of history but most of the county KNOWS it is a really bad deal. For a long time, dems have been traveling a very narrow pass between these two big mountains, establishment failure and Socialism. Now Trump has come along and caused a political earthquake and the mountains are crashing together, eliminating the pass. One might feel sorry for the hapless dems but considering the unrepentant damage they have done to our Country, I render to them the judgement of Lot's wife, unworthy to be saved.

Just another opinion piece on the state of the democrat party and its voters, which have been in full lunatic mode since November of 2016. Once we get through this geographical shuffling of inferior candidates and into the presidential debates, Donald Trump will make hamburger out of any one of these brain-damaged rats. I predict up to 50% of them will sit home and cry.

Apparently it's lost on Matthews that all of the socialist fever is coming from the left,,,from small amounts in the Biden campaign to complete control of the population under Sanders. All of the democrat candidates are cut from the same cloth and only Sanders is telling the truth about how they would enslave all of us but they all want the same thing.

Judge refuses to delay Stone sentencing 11 replies

A federal judge on Tuesday refused to delay Roger Stone's sentencing amid the fallout over the Trump administration's decision to intervene in the case against the president's longtime ally. The sentencing will move forward on Thursday at its originally scheduled time, the judge said, despite a new effort from Stone's defense team to get a new trial. "I think that delaying this sentence would not be a prudent thing to do under all of the circumstances," U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson, an Obama appointee, said during a telephone conference with the two sides.

It’s still early, but the Democratic Party nomination process reminds me of Yogi Berra’s line about center field at Yankee stadium: “It gets late early out there.” It’s already late for the Democrats, and it is becoming clear that the Democrats are doomed this year. At the debate tomorrow night, Bloomberg is going to be the big target because he’s got the means to challenge everybody. The big beneficiary will be Bernie Sanders. Even though he is pulling away in the polls, I doubt the other candidates have the wit or ability to shoot at two targets at once. Expect Bernie’s surge to continue. Bernie is a sure loser in November.

Video of Mike Bloomberg belittling farmers surfaced this week. His campaign team, which is spending money furiously trying to purchase a foothold in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, has treated it mostly as a distraction. It may do much more damage than they expect because of what it says about their candidate. The clip (start here at about the 42:00 mark) was from 2016, when Bloomberg was still a registered independent, but only technically. The former Republican mayor of New York City endorsed Hillary Clinton that year and delivered a speech at the Democratic National Convention.

Faiz Shakir had seen enough. As summer turned to fall, and the 2020 Democratic presidential race entered the stretch run before the first caucuses and primaries, Shakir, who manages Bernie Sanders’s campaign, approached MSNBC president Phil Griffin to discuss his concerns with the network’s treatment of the Vermont senator’s second White House bid. “We watched a ton of terrible coverage occurring and we thought we’d at least try to address it,” he recalled. For months, the campaign bristled at slights from MSNBC’s stable of hosts and commentators. Jason Johnson, an MSNBC contributor, predicted in January 2019 that Sanders would drop out by August, and network analyst Mimi Rocah

A new report alleges that former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg touted "partnerships" with black-owned businesses in South Carolina that the business owners denied making. Last week, Buttigieg penned an op-ed in a South Carolina newspaper "The State" promoting his "Frederick Douglass Plan," which he describes is "a comprehensive investment in the empowerment of Black America" that was developed with the help of black activists and business leaders. "That begins with entrepreneurship, and our campaign has proudly partnered with local businesses like Diane’s Kitchen in Chester, Atlantis Restaurant in Moncks Corner and the Fair Deal Grocery on Charleston’s Eastside," Buttigieg wrote.

The delays and potential errors in the results of the Iowa Democratic caucus should cause Americans of both parties to reconsider how the country selects its nominees. The current system of primaries and caucuses staggered over several months has three primary flaws. A new method of selecting nominees would be beneficial for the country. First, states that vote early in the process (especially Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada) unfairly carry greater weight in the selection of the nominee than other states. Winners in early states typically receive increased contributions and media attention, both of which are critical for the long nomination process.

It’s a familiar plotline. An interloper runs for a party’s nomination and, with an anti-insider pitch, scores wins and near-wins in the first contests with vote pluralities. His numerous opponents, fearful of antagonizing his enthusiastic supporters, launch attacks on one another that, predictably, hurt the attacker as well as the target. Party establishment types, convinced the interloper is a sure loser in November, dither and tilt things mildly against him while trying to maintain the impression of fairness. Candidates with no chance remain in the race, dividing the anti-interloper vote, hoping the interloper will collapse.

Florida enacted its red flag law in the spring of 2018 and they didn’t lose any time in putting it to use. And I mean a lot of use. But as this report from the Associated Press indicates, use of the law is not consistent from county to county and there are serious questions remaining as to how fairly it’s being applied. The law, supported by legislators of both parties , has been applied more than 3,500 times since, with the pace accelerating during the last half of 2019. Even so, an Associated Press analysis of the law showed its use is inconsistent, with some counties
