Mitt Romney Says He ‘Agonized’ over Impeach-

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), who voted to convict President Trump for abuse of power last week, claimed on Sunday that he “agonized” over the responsibility that came with his decision and said he had “hoped beyond hope” he would not find President Trump guilty. Speaking to KSL’s Sunday Edition during the weekend, Romney, who asserted last week that the president “committed an act so extreme and egregious that it rises to the level of a high crime and misdemeanor,” said he “agonized over the responsibility that ultimately would come [his] way” and proclaimed that he “hoped beyond hope” he would not find Trump guilty.

Democrats will no doubt be distressed to learn that the progressive habit of politicizing absolutely everything is giving new weight to the law of unintended consequences. A New Hampshire woman, horrified by the uproar in the knitting world a few months ago when woke knitters went on a rampage, found herself at the Trump rally in New Hampshire and went public about the pleasant surprises she found there. In June 2019, the knitting world got woke and it was ugly. It got so ugly that it actually made the New York Times and the BBC. People who were enjoying their craft were suddenly lambasted as racist cultural appropriators and worse.

As I’ve said before, the Democrat/mainstream media industrial complex all love to gush about the supposed political prowess of failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. But those of us in the cheap seats who marvel at her uncanny ability stick her foot in her mouth at every opportunity see things from a much more realistic perspective. Over the last few months, Clinton has had the audacity to lecture people against “witness intimidation” in the midst of speculation that Clinton pal Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself (some have suggested the Clinton machine had a hand in his death). In December when the articles of impeachment were announced,

The Democrat Party is deathly afraid of Bernie Sanders. The Party solons may like the enthusiasm and engagement of his base but greatly fear the possibility that he will lead the Democrat ticket this year. Why is that so? Because he isn’t even a Democrat – and has never been one, except beginning in 2015 for political expediency purposes in order to run in Democrat Party presidential primaries. He is a lifelong and self-described “Democratic Socialist” although he is registered as an “Independent.” And he has ripped off the masks of the Democrat Party to reveal the socialism

As my colleague Nick Arama reported here, it was a great night for Trump. With 97% of the New Hampshire primary results in, the President is at 85.7%. In other words, he’s now in Reagan territory. And Tuesday’s Republican turnout, currently around 120,000, far exceeds that of any other incumbent president seeking reelection. Although this is certainly good news, Republicans shouldn’t get too cocky because the Democrats had a very good night as well. The most updated figures (97%) show that 283,440 Democratic votes had been cast. Based on that number, 100% would bring it to approximately 292,200, which is significantly higher than Democratic turnout in 2016

In a telling way, the current political scene is a replay of Herman Melville's 1851 novel, Moby Dick, with Donald Trump being the great white whale and the Democrats playing the role of the vengeful Captain Ahab. In the story, whaling captain Ahab is obsessed with killing Moby Dick. This is traced back to an event a year earlier on a whaling expedition in the Pacific. Then Moby Dick took one of Ahab's legs, "as a mower a blade of grass in the field." From then on, Ahab wore a peg leg carved from the jawbone of a sperm whale. The experience traumatized Ahab.

Nashville, TN—A man's surprise birthday gift led to a surprise attack at a Broadway bar. Daniel Sprague was at The Stage bar on Broadway sporting a gift his wife gave him for his 50th birthday bash—a hat that says "Make 50 Great Again." The hat is styled to look like a "Make America Great Again" hat that supporters of President Donald Trump wear. "People were just coming up to me and, you know, just loving the little word play on the hat and taking pictures and wishing me happy birthday," Sprague told News4. However, one woman at the bar was not as amused.

MANCHESTER, NH -- Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont narrowly edged former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg to claim victory in New Hampshire's Democratic presidential primary. But the biggest winner in Tuesday's contest - the first primary in the White House race - may well be Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, who came in a strong third. Klobuchar finished far ahead of Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and former Vice President Joe Biden, who are limping out of New Hampshire facing serious questions about the future of their campaigns. "We love you New Hampshire," Klobuchar stressed in her primary night speech. "Because of you, we are taking this campaign to Nevada.

Republican Devin Nunes warned that the layers of lies have unraveled in the putrid onion that was Robert Mueller’s investigation of the failed Russia-collusion hoax. Congressman Nunes told Fox Business host Lou Dobbs that Americans will soon learn the disturbing depths of deceit and corruption perpetrated by the Mueller team to promote the Russia-collusion hoax. “The lawyers that stepped aside today who made the seven-to-nine-year recommendation [against Roger Stone] — we believe that this is not going to be the only example,” Nunes said. He continued: “There’s other examples of things they did during the Mueller investigation that the American people will be very interested to learn in the coming weeks,

Billions of locusts are swarming across East Africa, eating everything in sight and threatening to cause starvation in a region already affected by extreme hunger. The United Nations says the region “simply cannot afford another major shock." The locusts have been destroying crops in Kenya after chewing up crops in Somalia and Ethiopia -- arguably two of the most desperate nations for food on earth. Fox News: Now the “waves and waves of swarms” are spreading further across the region, said Keith Cressman, the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organizations (FAO) senior locust forecasting officer.

Primped and poised, Siba the standard poodle owned the ring. Even with the crowd at Madison Square Garden chanting for a popular golden retriever, the statuesque Siba strutted off with best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club on Tuesday night. Adorned with black puffs and pompoms, the 3-year-old Siba was the absolute picture of what many see as the epitome of a show dog. Not everyone shared that view. As judge Bob Slay studied Siba in the best-of-seven final ring, a fan shouted out: “No way, Slay, no way!”
