MSNBC’s Chris Matthews stepped too far outside the liberal box in a rant on socialism that ignited social media’s cancel culture.Matthews unloaded on the word “socialism,” saying he has an “attitude” about the term and proceeded to stun the MSNBC panel and viewers with his passionate warning to Democrats about supporting 2020 candidates who promote the ideology. (Video) “I think that the Democratic Party has to figure out its ideology,” the MSNBC host said Friday in a panel discussion following the Democratic presidential debate.“You know, I have my own views of the word ‘socialist,'” Matthews said.

Is Mathews really concerned about socialism or is it an attempt to scuttle the candidacy of an overt socialist, Bernie Sanders. Also his assessment of Denmark and Sweden as "harmless" socialism ignores their higher marginal tax rates, 25%, and higher, value added tax and their paultry military. OK, he indicts Cuba and Soviet Union, but why the criticism now from one who has, as far as I know, been silent on this subject. I Don't trust him.

"Socialists" murdered over 120 million people during the 20th Century. Be it Hitler the National Socialist, or Stalin the Marxist Bolshevik socialist, Mao ZeDong the Marxist Leninist socialist, Fidel Castro another Marxist-Leninst or Pol Pot a Maoist Marxist-Leninist or the NorKor Kim klan, they all had one thing in common: if you didn't fit in the system-you died. When you hear these latter day democrats using the rhetoric of the revolution, that's what they are promising you. You're either part of the collective or you're eliminated. Chris Matthews has it exactly right. Socialists only have to win one election, because that one election will be the last election.

Chrissy is just doing the party's bidding. Biden is done and won't come back due to the corruption charges. Mayor Pete, knowingly or unknowingly is a temporary place holder. Now we make socialism a bad word clearing the way for the Hildabeast to save the party. Bloomberg runs as VP allowing him to spend unlimited amounts of money. The Dems don't think voters should decide the general election, why would the primaries be any different?

Actually, NBC & messnbc & cbs aren't the only alphabets who still don't want to acknowledge what, ''Drain the swamp,'' means! None of the dems' Sunday morning shows seem not able to understand why the President continues that noble policy instead of just moving on now. Yet we want him to continue draining the swamp of all the entrenched corruption in Government which we see being revealed before our very eyes! Joe Biden brought his “No Malarkey” tour to a New Hampshire debate stage on Friday night. But in promising to tell the truth, he accidentally exposed his own doleful (or I should say, Bob Dole-ful) prospects in Tuesday’s opening-gun primary. In his first words of the debate—the moment when candidates are usually the most scripted—Biden confessed, “I took a hit in Iowa and I’ll probably take a hit here.” It was a novel campaign strategy; few candidates ever say, “Vote for me because I’m going to lose here.” If his comments were a brief misstep in an otherwise smooth debate, it would have been one thing.

Democratic Illinois Rep. Jesús García, along with several other progressive House members, introduced the New Way Forward Act in December 2019, to seemingly little fanfare. The bill, among many things, calls for the decriminalization of illegal immigration, would make it more difficult to deport convicted criminal aliens, empower immigration judges to nullify deportation orders, and also calls for the return of previously deported illegal aliens.
