Global Warming's 50 Years of Fraud

Original Article

The theory for those pushing the green new deal or some other radical energy policy that will destroy tens of millions of jobs and greatly harm the poor and middle class is that humans, CO2, and fossil fuels cause warming and climate change. This warming causes the ice to melt in Alaska, then the melting ice causes sea levels to rise and the rising sea levels will cause coastal cities to under water. They have predicted the coastal cities to disappear for the last 100 years and they have been wrong for 100 years.

Comments:

An excellent rundown of the history of this scam. This is probably worth sending a link to any younger folks in your family who haven't seen this themselves for a long time.
And we were out in the mountains of southern Colorado twice in the last 5 weeks. We had a good bit of below zero temps and 18+ inches of snow at least three times in that period. The snow is several feet deep everywhere, and up to 5 or 6 feet deep in some places.

The only reason that this has been going on for 50 years is that before then it was Nuclear Winter. We were all going to die of frostbite because of nuclear war. The sea would freeze over. Glaciers would sweep down to the equator. It was going to be terrible. The Club of Rome said so. "Someone will set the bomb off, and we will all be blown away." Kingston Trio.

It is sweet of Jack to cut Greta Thunberg some slack. If I were her mom I would ask Greta to bring me a switch. Greta's dad should sleep on the sofa, in the garage, 3 streets over!

Talked to a guy who believes this hook, line and sinker. His proof is the skiing in western PA was lousy this year and somewhere in Antarctica it was 65 degrees. I told him to come to Rochester where I just snowblowed about a foot of snow/ice/snow and also that it was summer in Antarctica right now where the previous record high was 63.5 in 2015. Thank goodness for that. Here in the Fingerlakes we are still rebounding from the last ICE Age a mere 10,000 years ago. I'm sitting where there would have been a mile high glacier and in other places far south people were worshiping the Sun because even savages know it is a lot easier to live in a warm climate than on an Ice sheet.

Take a look at the Google Earth images of McMurdo Station. There is actual ground with no snow or ice. Summer is summer even at the South Pole.

China's Communist Party has infiltrated various levels of America's infrastructure and is working to destroy the values of the United States, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said during a speech Saturday, while also warning state governors to be wary of China's infiltration. “We can’t ignore China’s actions and strategic intentions," he said while addressing the National Governors Association winter meeting. "The Chinese government has been methodical in the way it's analyzed our system... it's assessed our vulnerabilities and it's decided to exploit our freedoms, to gain an advantage over us at the federal level, the state level and the local level."

James Carville, a former top adviser to President Clinton, laid out a scathing critique of his party, arguing that it drifted way too far to the left and was on the way to failure as a result of pushing extreme policy ideas. "We just had an election in 2018. We did great. We talked about everything we needed to talk about and we won," he said in a Vox interview published on Friday. "And now it’s like we’re losing our damn minds. Someone’s got to step their game up here." Carville added that he considered himself a "liberal" rather than a centrist -- but Democrats went too far even for him.

Every year 3 million visitors make the pilgrimage to Ellis Island. It is estimated nearly forty percent of all Americans can trace their ancestors to the 20 million immigrants that were processed through New York and Ellis Island from 1892 to 1954. These prospective citizens were determined to escape authoritarianism, soul grinding poverty, war and its aftermath, immutable class structures as well as religious and ethnic persecution. Once here they would immerse themselves in learning English and the nation’s founding documents in preparation for the most gut wrenching (passing the oral citizenship test) and emotional (the swearing in ceremony) day in their lives.

Make no mistake: Big Mike (Mini Mike?) is coming for our guns. He might just buy the White House or the Democratic Party and then start passing laws that ignore the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Everything has a price. As the camel's head extends into the tent, you will hear the term "commonsense gun laws." The implication is that if you don't agree with the people pushing these laws, you lack common sense. There are some rules that are common sense. Some version of these rules will come with any gun you buy.

For a number of years in the 20-aughts, I worked in Wuhan, Hubei Province, People’s Republic of China. China being China, and Wuhan being a provincial outpost of old China, an amalgamation of three towns incorporated under the one name, observations of life there then might be of interest now, given the tumult over the mushrooming conflagration of the coronavirus. Because I lived on the outskirts of town, near a squealing pig farm, many buffalo in the fields, goats occasioning the streets, wild dogs inoffensively wandering about most of the open-air eateries not presumptuous enough to call themselves restaurants -- a few plastic chairs and unwashed PVC tables

With at least 27 people killed and 18 million acres incinerated as of last week, the worst bushfire season Australia has seen in decades is a bad one, no doubt about it. A fatal flaw in the liberal character 6 replies

I think most conservatives live in the moment way better than liberals. “Liberal” is a sort of umbrella term; it encompasses leftist, progressive, and maniac. Liberals live in a dimension of only two personal time zones; the present and the near future. Conservatives consider a third element; we call it the past. The liberal acknowledges a past that is only a craven reflection of reality; it is full of caricature and devoid of character. It is easy to point out the bad side of human nature if that is all you’re looking for. If you read at all as a child, you opened up your personality for self-consideration.
Six shades of fire-lighters in Australia 1 reply
Posted by DVC 1/23/2020 1:41:10 PM Post Reply
Australian fire-lighters come in six colors — yellow, black, white, blood red, dark green, and light green. All are relevant to bushfires and forest management. "Yellow" is the fire-lighter that has been with us forever. It is the yellow flash of lightning, which has always ignited the Australian bush. We're dreaming to think we can lock yellow fire out of parks, forests, and heritage areas. But good forest management can reduce the ferocity and destruction of lightning-strike fires. "Black" fire-lighters came with the first Australians. Without matches or tinder boxes, they probably captured the fire genie from a lightning fire.

What underlies the rage of the Democrat Party and of the leftist Democrat Establishment vis-à-vis President Donald Trump? Over forty years ago, during my high school years in Iran, my father and I had a conversation. He was an avid Republican, even though he lived on the other side of the world. Right before I prepared to leave Iran for the U.S., he gave me some fatherly advice. He explained why the Democrat Party was bad for America, bad for Iran, and bad for the world. He advised me that if I ever became a US citizen, I should never vote for Democrats. After all these years, I now understand what he meant by those words  of wisdom.

The most important thing that happened during President Trump’s post-impeachment rant at the White House didn’t happen at the lectern. Yes, as usual, he called me a sleaze and scum and a dirty cop and said he likely would no longer be president if he hadn’t fired me. Although I still can’t follow the logic of that last bit, it doesn’t matter. The important thing was what happened in the audience, where there were plenty of intelligent people of deep commitment to religious principle. They laughed and smiled and clapped as a president of the United States lied, bullied, cursed and belittled the faith of other leaders. That was the deeply disturbing

CHICAGO -- The brutal beating of a 68-year-old man by 11 teens on a passenger train here Monday was captured in a disturbing, graphic video obtained by Fox News. The Chicago Police Department told Fox News the beating is under investigation, but no one is in custody because the victim “was unable to identify his attacker(s) due to his injuries.” A police source told Fox that the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office “wouldn’t touch” the case if the victim can’t identify those accused or is unable to cooperate. When reached about prosecuting the case, state’s attorney's office responded: "We are unable to comment."

A majority of New Hampshire Democrats said in a new poll that they would rather a "giant meteor strikes the Earth, extinguishing all human life" than see President Trump reelected. Immigration experts and House Republicans are balking at the New Way Forward Act, a Democratic bill that is being described as an embrace of “open borders” and likely to be the most “radical” legislation ever introduced in history. Democratic Illinois Rep. Jesús García, along with several other progressive House members, introduced the New Way Forward Act in December 2019, to seemingly little fanfare. The bill, among many things, calls for the decriminalization of illegal immigration, would make it more difficult to deport convicted criminal aliens, empower immigration judges to nullify deportation orders, and also calls for the return of previously deported illegal aliens.
