Buttigieg blames Trayvon death on ‘white

Hoping to fan racial flames in his direction before the South Carolina primary, Pete Buttigieg tweeted out his support for Trayvon Martin on the occasion of what would have been Martin’s 25th birthday, February 5. “Trayvon Martin would have been 25 today,” Mayor Pete tweeted. “How many 25th birthdays have been stolen from us by white supremacy, gun violence, prejudice, and fear?” Buttigieg threw in a Black Lives Matter hashtag just to make sure black voters knew he was down for the struggle. This tweet would have been unfortunate six months ago. Today, it is unforgivable. In December, attorney Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch,

Comments:

St. Trayvon would never have made it to his 25th birthday, living as he was. There is no honor amongst criminals and thieves, and he would have been just another unknown and unfortunate statistic had he not decided to slam Zimmerman's head repeatedly into the sidewalk. And his mama would be just another crack ho scamming people to get by.

Hey Peter- can I call you that?- know this; This country is not going to elect a someone who sleeps with a person of the same sex. Certainly not in our White House. Yes, your sycophants and worshippers try to cow us into this frame of mind but to no avail. I have friends and even relatives -some of whom even share some of your beliefs but they have the decency to refrain from the need to force it on others and demand that we entrust this country into the confused mess that is your lifestyle.

I live in South Carolina, just outside of Charleston. Perhaps someone should remind Buttplug of what happened here in 2015 after Dylan Roof killed 9 black people, including the pastor, at a Bible study group at the Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church downtown. Here’s what happened - the entire city and all of its races came together in grief and unity. There were no riots, not even a broken window. There was a massive memorial event on the Ravenel Bridge attended by thousands who “looked like America”. Trying to stir up racial animosity in SC isn’t going to work. We all get along with each other quite nicely here.

Jack Cashill generously excuses "Mayor Pete" as either too young to remember or, too cowardly to tell the truth. Having known tons of gays when I lived in SoCal I posit another option: Mayor Pete, like many gays, was oblivious. If it didn't impress him as gay in one way or another, it just didn't matter.

Tonight in America, 200,000 people are in jail without having been convicted of anything. Two hundred thousand people — because they can’t afford the 500 bucks they need to get out of jail,” Sanders said. “That is outrageous.

Some Chinese cities remain under quarantine, while thousands of people are sick from the coronavirus, impacting its workforce. Vinda International Holdings, which produces toilet paper, said its factories in mainland China will resume operations next week.

Are we watching a great political party commit suicide? For more than a year, Democratic candidates, up to 26 of them at one point, have been crisscrossing Iowa’s 99 counties, seeking votes in Iowa’s precinct caucuses. They were duly held on Monday night. But the Iowa Democratic Party did not release any results until Tuesday, and they were only partial results. What does that say about the party’s competence and judgment? Iowa’s Democratic caucuses had a complex system of regrouping supporters of candidates with less than 15% and reporting not votes but state convention delegate equivalents. Bernie Sanders supporters protested when the Iowa party announced Hillary Clinton had beaten him

Steyer was right, and that's why President Trump is on course for reelection. Steyer correctly said that Trump routinely touts the robust economic growth seen in his first term and that it's proving an effective line with voters. Levine says his intended law is justified and necessary because "democracy is not a spectator sport — it requires the active participation of all its citizens ... Those rights come with a responsibility by registered voters to cast their ballot and make sure that their voice is heard by their government." While registered voters would not have to select a candidate in order to conform with Levine's desired law, they would have to file a ballot return, even if unmarked.

All those pundits saying the Iowa caucus fiasco suddenly makes the Democrats weak for the fall election against President Trump are wrong — there was nothing sudden about their weakness at all. Even before Iowa, this Democratic field was embarrassingly weak. It is woefully lacking in stature, accomplishments, competence, and salable political philosophy. Most of its major contenders are either too old or too young. And now, the national party infrastructure’s obvious disarray only exacerbates these problems. Consider front-runner Bernie Sanders. His popularity with historically illiterate, willfully ignorant millennials aside, he would be a joke as a general election candidate in any other year.
