'Voted to betray': Clinton slams Senate
Republicans after Trump acquittal

Original Article

Posted By: ladydawgfan, 2/6/2020 7:47:14 AM

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ripped Senate Republicans after they voted to acquit President Trump on two impeachment charges of obstruction of Congress and abuse of power. "As the president's impeachment trial began, Republican senators pledged an oath to defend the Constitution," Clinton tweeted. "Today, 52 of them voted to betray that oath—and all of us. We’re entering dangerous territory for our democracy. It’ll take all of us working together to restore it." Clinton, 72, lost to Trump, 73, in the 2016 presidential election and has spent much of the time since repeatedly claiming she actually won because of the popular vote.

Hillary is what happens when your first AG, Sessions, is too meek and who allows a coup conspirator, Rosenstein, to become acting AG. And then you replace Jeff with Barr, an official from the first Bush Administration, who moves slower than a glacier, if he is moving at all, on Obama regime officials who have all been revealed as incredibly corrupt by the John Solomons and Sara Carters, not the badly tarnished and poorly led FBI. As impressive as the Trump legal defense team members were, they were unable to convince a single Dem senator that the groundless impeachment articles were just that, baseless. So, the President has to either confront Barr and Wray with their lack of Obama / Hillary indictments or, as I suspect, end his grant of immunity to Hillary and the Obama coup plotters.

She knows she cannot win at the ballot box, so she connives to have a backroom conspiracy that will get her the nomination. From there she will scheme, distort, lie and manipulate and will do anything to win the election. Spite and ambition rule her. Democratic California Assemblyman Marc Levine has introduced a clearly unconstitutional bill which mandates that anyone registered to vote must attend a voting booth and file a response. Levine says his intended law is justified and necessary because "democracy is not a spectator sport — it requires the active participation of all its citizens ... Those rights come with a responsibility by registered voters to cast their ballot and make sure that their voice is heard by their government." While registered voters would not have to select a candidate in order to conform with Levine's desired law, they would have to file a ballot return, even if unmarked.

All those pundits saying the Iowa caucus fiasco suddenly makes the Democrats weak for the fall election against President Trump are wrong — there was nothing sudden about their weakness at all. Even before Iowa, this Democratic field was embarrassingly weak. It is woefully lacking in stature, accomplishments, competence, and salable political philosophy. Most of its major contenders are either too old or too young. And now, the national party infrastructure’s obvious disarray only exacerbates these problems. Consider front-runner Bernie Sanders. His popularity with historically illiterate, willfully ignorant millennials aside, he would be a joke as a general election candidate in any other year.

Christopher Steele waded back into American politics on Friday as the British ex-spy’s private investigative firm rebuked criticism from President Trump and defended the Trump-Russia dossier. “Yesterday @realDonaldTrump made false claims about us,” Steele’s company Orbis Business Intelligence tweeted on Friday morning. “He wildly exaggerated our fees and, contrary to his claims, we have never stated any of our reporting is ‘fake’. We stand by the integrity of our research on Kremlin interference in the 2016 election and support for Trump.” During a lengthy impeachment acquittal victory-lap speech at the White House yesterday, Trump repeatedly criticized what he saw as politically motivated investigations against him.

The vote-counting debacle around the Iowa caucuses has furthered distrust and hardened anger between Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and the national Democratic Party. There is deep frustration among Sanders's supporters and allies over the historic meltdown of the first-in-the-nation caucuses. The early reported results found former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg with a small lead over Sanders - a dynamic that has been reflected in the news media for several days. The race is too close to call, but the late results trickling in appeared to be breaking in Sanders's direction and there's still a chance he could win both the popular vote and a plurality of delegates.

It started with lead impeachment manager Adam Schiff fearfully speculating that, if the Senate didn’t convict President Trump on the two articles of impeachment, he might up and give Alaska to the Russians. Yes, Adam, that’s precisely what a proud “America First” nationalist would do, isn’t it? I bet he might give back the Louisiana Purchase, as well. (Weren’t you clowns just mocking him for musing about buying Greenland?) And then came the Iowa caucus debacle. Though the evening grew long, the results did not. In fact, there were none. Vote totals weren’t released to the public due to unexplained “inconsistencies.” Precinct chairs were unable to connect with party leaders;

Trump is no ordinary president – but he’s also been under extraordinary pressures unique to his presidency. It was Trump’s appearance on the political scene that catapulted the Democrats into a stance of permanent and aggressive hysteria. They traveled from using the state to spy on him, to lying about his being a Russian asset, to impeaching him for investigating the prior administration’s corruption, but he held strong. Trump is also a showman and an eccentric. He is not your typical bland, polished statesman. Having been put through the wringer and come out the other side, intact and politically stronger than ever,

Diogenes is said to have asked what is the difference between a man and a plucked chicken since both are featherless bipeds. Senator Mitt Romney (R-Utah) calls this into question again today. Romney’s vote to convict President Trump of “abuse of power” for inquiring into the flow of money from Ukraine into the pockets of the Bidens after the appearance that Vice President Joe Biden had directly intervened in Ukrainian internal affairs either to repay the favor or shield the corruption from sunlight, is among the most degraded public acts of a generation.
