Gretchen Whitmer was Democrats' poor
choice to respond to Trump

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is commonly referred to in Washington as a master tactician. But like the partisan impeachment fiasco and the humiliating Iowa caucus disaster, her selection of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to deliver this year’s response to President Trump’s State of the Union address was a major strategic misstep. The selection of Whitmer was a politically calculated decision to introduce a relatively new name on the national scene from a state that will play a critical role in November. The irony of Whitmer’s selection, however, is that she represents exactly what is wrong with today’s Democratic Party — unrealistic promises, massive tax hikes,

The dimmies wanted a new and pretty face to represent them in countering the SOTU but they forgot that the woman had to speak. When her big tax was not approved, she took her spite out on children and the poor, the dimmies bread and butter. Forty five cents a gallon? Truly stupid governing but then Michigan is known for its poor choices in politicians.

Gretch wants to impose a 45 cents per gallon gas tax to fix the roads here. Guaranteed that if it passed, less than 5 cents of that would actually go to the roads. Because Democrats.

Typical Democrat. She failed in raising gas taxes by 45 cents a gallon that was sold to "fix the roads", yet the amendments and crud added on meant that less than 20% would have gone to road repair. Now her next great idea is to float bonds without taxpayer approval to borrow money to fix roads. Somebody else's money.

Whitmer talked about Muskegon Heights road problems and the Flint water crisis. Both are Democrat run cities. The roads and water systems are both local government responsibilities! Flint created their own water crisis by not maintaining/replacing the the pipes. Muskegon Heights created their own street issues by not maintaining them. All of the "solutions" that Whitmer gave were by local leaders or governors. There was a distinct absence of national Democrat Congressional leaders named on her list of who was able to fix things. Whitmer's $0.45 per gallon gas tax was luckily not implemented. It would have cost my business over $15,000.00 per year!

Gretchen gave us a vivid example of a clueless Democrat. She went on and on about fixing potholes--even with dirt---, and infrastructure repair, bridge repair, etc. But all the examples she gave were from DEMOCRAT STATES. No one ever asked her why it was in all of these states that were Democrat run for years, and collected taxes to repair roads and bridges for years, everything was falling apart and even more taxes are needed. IT IS THE DEMOCRAT CONTROL that is the problem.

Number two, you never fill a pothole with dirt because it will wash ut after the first rain. And three, why is a kid doing that DOT's job in the first place? Number four, she is so stupid that she is bragging about a kid filling potholes with dirt not being smart enough to realize that makes her administration look extremely incompetent! Actually there are a lot of people in California that are not leftists. The problem is the DemonRats manipulated the rules, the districting and the elections to gain monopolistic control over the state. They are manipulating each state, one st s time, a little at a time so (non-leftist) people won't notice and don't push back enough to make a difference. Look at Virginia. They are trying to turn Texas too. Anyway, Witless tried to cut all those services...what was she keeping? JUMONVILLE, Pennsylvania — We are a country built on not one, but several, leaps of faith.Certainly, it was a leap of faith when a young George Washington, then a lieutenant colonel of the colonial forces, found himself mired in a deadly skirmish here in this densely wooded mountaintop of Chestnut Ridge. He, his men, and ultimately his cause, protecting the property lines of the British colonies, would prevail. That faith didn’t exactly work out the way Washington believed at the time.
