Venezuelan opposition leader Guaidó honored by Trump at State of the Union

Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó was honored at President Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday night after receiving an invite from the White House. The invite to the State of the Union gives Guaidó, the Venezuelan National Assembly leader and fierce critic of contested Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, a big political bump as he seeks to rally international support for his bid to oust his country’s strongman leader.

Comments:

Thank you, President Trump, for your support of Venezuelan freedom.

All the more reason for the Marxist Communist democrats to show their hatred of a political leader who from first hand experience knows what the Marxist Communist democrats and Rino's are trying to do to America and the world.

It was just a short spot during a first-quarter commercial break during Sunday night’s Super Bowl, but the criminal justice reform advertisement President Trump ran featuring Alice Johnson was brilliant. The commercial touted his criminal justice reform record, a rare bright spot where Trump truly has delivered what no other president in recent history could.

As the House and Senate continue their struggle over the coming Senate impeachment trial of President Trump, a federal judge in Washington issued an opinion that was largely lost in the crush of New Year’s stories. The opinion could loom large in the trial, however, and one line in particular may be repeated like a mantra by the Trump defense team: “The House clearly has no intention of pursuing” the witness.

No one can be sure what her intent is. I'm not sure she even knows but her decision to wait before transmitting the articles of impeachment to the Senate is setting a bad precedent that puts politics ahead of the U.S. Constitution. For all the work that's gone into addressing the charges against President Donald Trump, it's hard to argue they rise to the level of impeachable offenses.

Voters are ready to jail or fire senior law enforcement officials who illegally targeted President Trump, but most think they are unlikely to be punished. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone and online survey finds that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters consider it likely that senior federal law enforcement officials broke the law in an effort to prevent Trump from winning the presidency. Thirty-nine percent (39%) say that’s unlikely. This includes 36% who say it’s Very Likely they broke the law to get Trump and 24% who say it’s Not At All Likely. These findings are virtually unchanged in surveying since February of last year.

TIME magazine has named its Person of the Year, a teenager who skipped school to travel around the world telling people that they are horrible and the planet is doomed. It’s a living. Perhaps her Malthusian visions will be fulfilled by future experience. But it’s not very likely. In fact, her position is at odds with what we know: that a more responsible approach to climate requires action from China and India, not the West.

Secretary of State William Seward wrote it and Abraham Lincoln issued it, but much of the credit for the Thanksgiving Proclamation should probably go to a woman named Sarah Josepha Hale. A prominent writer and editor, Hale had written the children’s poem “Mary Had a Little Lamb,” originally known as “Mary’s Lamb,” in 1830 and helped found the American Ladies Magazine, which she used a platform to promote women’s issues.

Diogenes is said to have asked what is the difference between a man and a plucked chicken since both are featherless bipeds. Senator Mitt Romney (R-Utah) calls this into question again today. Romney’s vote to convict President Trump of “abuse of power” for inquiring into the flow of money from Ukraine into the pockets of the Bidens after the appearance that Vice President Joe Biden had directly intervened in Ukrainian internal affairs either to repay the favor or shield the corruption from sunlight, is among the most degraded public acts of a generation. Romney very clearly wants revenge. He lost the presidency in 2012, denounced Donald Trump’s candidacy in 2016

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is commonly referred to in Washington as a master tactician. But like the partisan impeachment fiasco and the humiliating Iowa caucus disaster, her selection of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to deliver this year’s response to President Trump’s State of the Union address was a major strategic misstep. The selection of Whitmer was a politically calculated decision to introduce a relatively new name on the national scene from a state that will play a critical role in November. The irony of Whitmer’s selection, however, is that she represents exactly what is wrong with today’s Democratic Party — unrealistic promises, massive tax hikes,

"As the president's impeachment trial began, Republican senators pledged an oath to defend the Constitution," Clinton tweeted. "Today, 52 of them voted to betray that oath—and all of us. We’re entering dangerous territory for our democracy. It’ll take all of us working together to restore it." Clinton, 72, lost to Trump, 73, in the 2016 presidential election and has spent much of the time since repeatedly claiming she actually won because of the popular vote.

The man who restored America’s pride, dignity, optimism and hope after a devastating eight dismal years of Barack Hussein Obama! Trump officially entered the Republican Presidential race on June 16, 2015 with a simple yet powerful message: ‘Make America Great Again.’ Trump stirred up the hornet's nest that is Washington D.C. when no other President has dared to even go there. This resulted in a strong reaction from the media, the Democrat Party, Hollywood, the elitists and globalists, even worldwide socialists. Trump was not a politician,

DES MOINES — Maybe it was the threat of bad weather. Maybe it was a seating assignment debacle. Maybe it was a struggling campaign organization that still hadn’t found its footing. But as Joseph R. Biden Jr. spoke at a major Iowa Democratic Party dinner in November, one thing was clear: His support appeared tepid compared with the vocal cheering sections of top rivals. The reception angered Mr. Biden and his top aides — and it left little doubt about his standing, three months before the nominating process in the Democratic presidential race would begin: The former vice president was in deep trouble in Iowa.
