Ruling Class Held Hostage

Every year 3 million visitors make the pilgrimage to Ellis Island. It is estimated nearly forty percent of all Americans can trace their ancestors to the 20 million immigrants that were processed through New York and Ellis Island from 1892 to 1954. These prospective citizens were determined to escape authoritarianism, soul grinding poverty, war and its aftermath, immutable class structures as well as religious and ethnic persecution. Once here they would immerse themselves in learning English and the nation’s founding documents in preparation for the most gut wrenching (passing the oral citizenship test) and emotional (the swearing in ceremony) day in their lives.

This is a very accurate summary of what has happened to America, and how "the elites" have begun to destroy America as it was founded. Trump is an absolutely existential threat to the totalitarian plans of many tens of thousands of bureaucrats and politicians. They are working furiously to prevent him from dismantling their "perfect crime" of taking over our country so that they can control our lives, and cancel our freedoms.

Sad that New York City’s Castle Garden, where millions of Europeans entered America, is seldom mentioned in stories about immigration.

As the OP wrote, this article really tells the story of what is happening with the TDS afflicted never-Trumpers. He came out of nowhere, politically speaking, and totally messed up the status quo of both sides of the isle. For him to come in and get himself elected POTUS, is beyond their comprehension; because he is "not one of us." Trump is truly a leader worthy to be among the greats of history! Members of the "good 'ole boys club" never stand out as remarkable or great. They are forgotten quickly. Already, George W. Bush is fading from public memory. Obama can't disappear fast enough for me.

Everybody should read McCann's piece closely. It describes quite accurately what is going on here. What McCann does not address is how rule of law will play into the dims' globalist lust for power. We shall see if rule of law allows Barr and Durham to try, convict, and imprison various elitists. Only then will we know if the ruling class has been eliminated or at least weakened.

Reminiscent of the writings of Conrad Black and Victor Davis Hanson. Not only should all LDotters read this article, all Americans would benefit from reading it.

FTA: "In reality, impeachment, endless investigations, fabrications and the constant vilification of Donald Trump are aimed at intimidating the nameless and unwashed masses who had the temerity and insolence to vote against the wishes of the ruling class." As our very stable genius president says, "They hate you. I'm just in the way." Thank God for such a champion. The 1960's was the decade when the commie's forty years of subversive actions went "viral" as the kids say today, and it certainly seems an appropriate word for the spiritual epidemic that was unleashed. I was only a 9 year-old fourth grader in the November of '63, but even then I sensed the destiny of our country had been changed. With our current knowledge of the true nature of the Deep State's FBI, CIA and all the alphabet agencies, I have no doubt President Kennedy was assassinated by the one world government globalists in our own government. Even Jackie is quoted to have said, "THEY killed him." Subsequent to those four dark days America was subjected to the political assignations of MLK and RFK, race riots and student riots on our most prestigious universities. These upheavals were companioned with radical feminism, homosexual liberation, liberalization of divorce laws, and legalized abortion. Then they hollowed-out our economic infrastructure and called it the "new normal". They were almost done with the transformation of America thanks to Bush the elder, Clinton, Bush the younger and Barack Hussein Obama. They had expected the penthouse to be completed during the second Clinton presidency. Their plans were destroyed when a brash NYC real estate developer rode down an escalator and ripped out their foundation. MAGA-KAG: The American Restoration has begun. Prayers always for President Trump and our Medal of Freedom bearer, Mr. Rush Limbaugh.

James Carville, a former top adviser to President Clinton, laid out a scathing critique of his party, arguing that it drifted way too far to the left and was on the way to failure as a result of pushing extreme policy ideas. "We just had an election in 2018. We did great. We talked about everything we needed to talk about and we won," he said in a Vox interview published on Friday. "And now it’s like we’re losing our damn minds. Someone’s got to step their game up here." Carville added that he considered himself a "liberal" rather than a centrist -- but Democrats went too far even for him.

The theory for those pushing the green new deal or some other radical energy policy that will destroy tens of millions of jobs and greatly harm the poor and middle class is that humans, CO2, and fossil fuels cause warming and climate change. This warming causes the ice to melt in Alaska, then the melting ice causes sea levels to rise and the rising sea levels will cause coastal cities to under water. They have predicted the coastal cities to disappear for the last 100 years and they have been wrong for 100 years.

Make no mistake: Big Mike (Mini Mike?) is coming for our guns. He might just buy the White House or the Democratic Party and then start passing laws that ignore the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Everything has a price. As the camel's head extends into the tent, you will hear the term "commonsense gun laws." The implication is that if you don't agree with the people pushing these laws, you lack common sense. There are some rules that are common sense. Some version of these rules will come with any gun you buy.

For a number of years in the 20-aughts, I worked in Wuhan, Hubei Province, People’s Republic of China. China being China, and Wuhan being a provincial outpost of old China, an amalgamation of three towns incorporated under the one name, observations of life there then might be of interest now, given the tumult over the mushrooming conflagration of the coronavirus. Because I lived on the outskirts of town, near a squealing pig farm, many buffalo in the fields, goats occasioning the streets, wild dogs inoffensively wandering about most of the open-air eateries not presumptuous enough to call themselves restaurants -- a few plastic chairs and unwashed PVC tables

With at least 27 people killed and 18 million acres incinerated as of last week, the worst bushfire season Australia has seen in decades is a bad one, no doubt about it. A fatal flaw in the liberal character 6 replies

I think most conservatives live in the moment way better than liberals. “Liberal” is a sort of umbrella term; it encompasses leftist, progressive, and maniac. Liberals live in a dimension of only two personal time zones; the present and the near future. Conservatives consider a third element; we call it the past. The liberal acknowledges a past that is only a craven reflection of reality; it is full of caricature and devoid of character. It is easy to point out the bad side of human nature if that is all you’re looking for. If you read at all as a child, you opened up your personality for self-consideration.
Six shades of fire-lighters in Australia 1 reply
Posted by DVC 1/23/2020 1:41:10 PM Post Reply
Australian fire-lighters come in six colors — yellow, black, white, blood red, dark green, and light green. All are relevant to bushfires and forest management. "Yellow" is the fire-lighter that has been with us forever. It is the yellow flash of lightning, which has always ignited the Australian bush. We're dreaming to think we can lock yellow fire out of parks, forests, and heritage areas. But good forest management can reduce the ferocity and destruction of lightning-strike fires. "Black" fire-lighters came with the first Australians. Without matches or tinder boxes, they probably captured the fire genie from a lightning fire.
The Rage of the Democrats 10 replies

What underlies the rage of the Democrat Party and of the leftist Democrat Establishment vis-à-vis President Donald Trump? Over forty years ago, during my high school years in Iran, my father and I had a conversation. He was an avid Republican, even though he lived on the other side of the world. Right before I prepared to leave Iran for the U.S., he gave me some fatherly advice. He explained why the Democrat Party was bad for America, bad for Iran, and bad for the world. He advised me that if I ever became a US citizen, I should never vote for Democrats. After all these years, I now understand what he meant by those words  of wisdom.

Before you crucify me for not condemning “the traitor,” please hear me out. My position has nothing to do with whether I agree with Romney’s “guilty” vote on the first article of impeachment. I’m quite aware of the litany of charges against Mitt Romney’s past political record and business dealings (see here and here and here and here).

Diogenes is said to have asked what is the difference between a man and a plucked chicken since both are featherless bipeds. Senator Mitt Romney (R-Utah) calls this into question again today. Romney’s vote to convict President Trump of “abuse of power” for inquiring into the flow of money from Ukraine into the pockets of the Bidens after the appearance that Vice President Joe Biden had directly intervened in Ukrainian internal affairs either to repay the favor or shield the corruption from sunlight, is among the most degraded public acts of a generation. Romney very clearly wants revenge. He lost the presidency in 2012, denounced Donald Trump’s candidacy in 2016

The Chicago Police Department told Fox News the beating is under investigation, but no one is in custody because the victim “was unable to identify his attacker(s) due to his injuries.” A police source told Fox that the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office “wouldn’t touch” the case if the victim can’t identify those accused or is unable to cooperate. When reached about prosecuting the case, state’s attorney's office responded: "We are unable to comment."
