How the House lost the witness
battle along with impeachment

NBC host Chuck Todd recently asked guests on his show if supporters of President Trump just want to be lied to. It is a question that many in the media would never ask about Democrats, even in the face of overtly false claims. This week is an example. After the Senate rejected witnesses and effectively ended the impeachment trial on Friday, the media ignored the primary reason for the defeat, which is the insistence of House leaders to impeach Trump by Christmas. Critics of the president simply do not want to hear that the blind rush to impeach guaranteed not only an acquittal but an easy case for acquittal.

If the house had doing their job, fairly and hearing from witnesses on both sides, it would’ve opened up the Socialists to having more lights shown on their illegal activities...

Turley is way off on this one. They didn't lose because of tactics. They lost because their case, even had they taken the time to prove it, was not impeachable. Pundits always want to assume its all a game of tactics, but often, as here, it's the facts that matter. And here, the fact that matters is this was an attempted coupe by the deep state against the president because they hate him for not submitting to it.

Turkey is living on assumptions. He’s assuming Bolton has something to say that’s believable and provable. His henchman also. Trump never wanted Bolton. I’m sure he was pressured to hire Bolton. They clashed from the beginning and Bolton was fired. You think there isn’t a California sized crop of sour grapes Bolton is desperate to see harvested? I don’t doubt that President Trump wants the Biden’s investigated for corruption. They need to be. Desperately. I don’t care that the lying old weasel is running for President or not. He’s a crook. Quid pro quo is how the world is run. Always has been. It’s not a crime.

Turley’s argument seems to be that if the House had worked on it long enough they would have found something to stick. In the words of Nancy Pelosi ‘they had 22 months’. Zero evidence was presented that Trump at anytime held up aid to Ukraine in exchange for a Biden investigation nor did he in fact do that. Bolton’s testimony would have been that he was ‘thinking about it’ thus making thought crimes impeachable. I doubt that the Senate wanted to embarrass themselves with this revelation.

Impeachment is all politics and its calculations. No one ever projected close to the number of "guilty" votes to actually remove PDT...no one. It was an operation to sully PDT headed into the election cycle, possibly disable or end his re-election campaign. Had PDT's numbers slipped during the "trial" you would have seen several GOPe Senators clamor and vote for witnesses to drag out the show and further damage the President's re-election bid. In fact, had they slumped low enough, there would be a Senator imediately after announcing his primary campaign for the Republican nomination "to end this nation's leadership nightmare." The problem is that PDT hit the "campaign trail" with his rallies, drawing huge crowds in packed houses and national television audiences, and his positive numbers actually grew. Everyone on the Hill knows how to count votes. The impeachment ploy failed. On to the next Acme/Wile E. Coyote plot.

We won a battle that should have been a rout. Susan Collins and Mitt Romney, names that will live in infamy, only needed two more spoilers to join them. In spite of three years of obvious lies and fabrication, a secret coven of democrats casting spells under the Capitol and obviously insane demons running the cult, these two ambitious idiots turned their backs on the side that they swore to support. Romney must have some third party trick up his sleeve but I don't think even his family will support him with it. Hatred is a terrible cancer. As for Collins, she is just an evil elite nobody who hungers to see her name in print and could not possibly be elected by the normal residents of Maine. We will have a lot of house cleaning to do after November but we will have the guy in the Oval Office who can get it done.

What they did manage to accomplish is that, when the house is the opposing party, an impeachment committee will be formed on inauguration day and will be pursued throughout the president's term. Our republic is dissolving before our eyes and the ones in the best position to stop it don't seem to be willing to.

The House did not do an honest job out of the original impeachment hearings. Instead they allowed Pelosi to walk all over our constitution, and then Schiffty and Nadless to finish the job. This was an impeachment farce, a hoax based all on their hurt feelings that they lost instead of the nation suffering through a Hildabeest presidency. They compounded the problem by insulting the senators, accusing them of being unfair among other things. Lying to the faces of the senators like Schiffty and Nadless did, they treated their colleagues like fools, then expected them to finish the job that they should have done themselves in the first place. This was thoroughly dishonest on the part of House democrats, a farce and circus presented as being truth. When truth was the farthest thing from their minds. They cooked this up as an attack on the American people, for having the gall to hire an actual president who has a clue, not somebody corrupt like Hildabeest. If I was as insulted by Schiffty, saying that the American voters could not be trusted at the ballot box in November, how many other voters were as thoroughly disgusted? Taking our prosperity, our jobs, our very right to vote, is the height of tyranny, all on the part of the democrats.

What is truly scary is that we have entered a time where for impeachment purposes, it doesn’t matter what the “crime” is. All that matters is that democrats control the house and senate. Then it doesn’t matter what the articles say or what president trump does. They will impeach him solely because they have the votes and no other reason.

Turley is dancing on the head of a pin. A little this bit of this or that and Turley thinks they might have won. That's what the dems have done since Trump was elected. Suppose this, suppose that, that's a bombshell, the wall's are closing in, ... EXCEPT none of it has yielded anything. Maybe, maybe, maybe. The reality is that Trump has done nothing serious wrong. Certainly nothing impeachable. They don't like that he has been so successful and that there is nothing they have been able to do about it. So they have hissy fits and went as far as to torturously corrupt the impeachment process over something as silly as dropping a piece of paper on the White House lawn. The whole process was wrong from the start and there was no way to make it appreciably better.

The death of Harry Dunn, an English teenager who was killed on August 27 2019, sparked a “bitter diplomatic row” between Great Britain and the United States. At the center of this row is the concept of “diplomatic immunity.” While riding his motorcycle, Dunn was killed in a head on collision with an SUV near RAF Croughton, a military base used by the U.S. Air Force. British police identified the driver as Anne Sacoolas — the wife of an American diplomat — and said that she was driving “on the wrong side of the road” when the collision occurred. The Arkansas Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that Democrat Jimmie Wilson is ineligible to serve in the state Legislature due to decades-old misdemeanor convictions in federal court, wiping out Wilson's victory at the polls earlier this month in House District 12. Wilson, a former state lawmaker who was convicted of selling mortgaged crops and illegal use of farm loans, had argued that a pardon he received from President Bill Clinton in 2001 removed any barriers to his potential return to the Legislature. Running against Republican David Tollett, Wilson received more than 52% of the vote in the Nov. 3 election. A unanimous decision by the high court, however, held that the pardon

The 2020 list doesn’t just rank not-ready-for-prime-time candidates, but also the institutions and strategies that didn’t live up to expectations. This year’s lineup most fowl includes a deep-pocketed presidential candidate, well-funded Senate candidates, ideologically-out-of-step Democratic recruits, and an appointed GOP senator who lost two straight elections in a traditionally Republican state. 1. Trump needs to have overwhelming evidence of election fraud, and he needs to bring that evidence to light in very public hearings. Without such evidence, his claims won’t be taken seriously enough—by the press or a sufficient number of the electorate—to ensure a peaceful transition to a second term. The rush job to affirm Biden as president-elect by the media and the Democrat Party is not constitutionally required, and indeed smacks of a kind of desperation to avoid scrutiny. Contrary to their claims, Trump’s thorough investigation of potential large-scale election fraud is fully in accord with the Constitution. As the one in whom executive power is vested,
