Buttigieg: I Know 63 Million People Voted for
Trump But They're Still Racist

Original Article

Former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg has repeatedly said those who support President Donald Trump are racist. CNN's Jake Tapper on Sunday asked Buttigieg if he regretted making those comments. "Republicans have been seizing, including in a new Trump ad, a statement you made that 'Anyone who supported this president is, at best, looking the other way on racism.' You've also said that on my show," Tapper explained. "That's almost 63 million Americans who you're painting with a pretty broad brush. Do you regret saying that at all?" Buttigieg didn't hesitate before he responded.

Comments:

Well, THAT certainly will make people want to vote for him!!

Mrs bootygig, your party started and fought and lost a Civil War to preserve the institution of slavery. Your party created institutional racism to preserve its political power after it lost the Civil War; just like you’re doing now, trying to create an Other that is not deserving of rights. Your party is fake through and through, the party of The Narrative to fool those unable to think with all the facts. Sexual identity is just another fake narrative to create a Name Caller and an Other. You, mam, are just a tool.

Don't try to debate him, or them, they have no desire to listen or debate. They have an objective, and that's to divide people, including their own Democrat party. They need to peel-off enough Republicans to win the WH. But, the real prize, for them, is keeping the House. If they maintain the House Majority, they can keep the investigations going. And, hopefully take the Senate simply to block the continued judicial nominees being put on the Federal bench, but also to keep investigating Trump. But, if they lose the House Majority, the Republicans can start investigations into their impeachment scam, and finally complete the investigations into the Mueller scheme too.

Sen. Bernie Sanders's supporters angrily stormed out of a caucus here on Monday night, calling the process a "joke" and a "waste of time" after they started out with more than twice as much support as any other candidate, ending up in a five-way tie, with all viable candidates sharing one delegate apiece. Under the complicated caucus system, there are multiple stages of voting. First, there is a vote to determine initial support. After that point, only candidates with 15% of the vote are considered viable. However, those voters who did not initially choose a viable candidate can migrate to another candidate.

Officers were seen going from building to building making sure they were evacuated, including numerous cafes in the area, such as the famed celebrity hangout the Groucho Club. Soho police confirmed that the evacuation was because of a “suspected WWII ordnance discovered at a building site” near Soho’s Dean Street at 1:42 p.m.

On Wednesday the Senate will vote to acquit President Trump of impeachment charges and it will likely happen in bipartisan fashion. But the saga surrounding President Trump's July 25, 2019 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the whistleblower who filed a second-hand complaint about what was said, is far from over. The boomerang effect on Democrats has started. During an interview with Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo over the weekend, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham vowed to compel testimony from the whistleblower in order to get to the bottom of what led to impeachment against President Trump.

One of President Trump’s campaign ads aired during the Super Bowl focused on a heart-tugging result coming out of his leadership in reforming criminal sentencing injustices. The ad drew both praise and scorn, though critics had to completely evade the truth of the matter. The ad featured Alice Johnson, a 63-year-old grandmother who had been sentenced to life in prison for a non-violent drug offense. In June 2018, Trump commuted Johnson’s sentence after hearing about her case from Kim Kardashian West as she spoke with him about the need for widespread criminal justice and sentencing reform. “Thanks to President Trump, people like Alice are getting a second chance,”

Republican senators did go on to reject a proposal to "consider witnesses and documents" in President Trump's Senate trial, so Schumer's view must be that the acquittal expected next week "will be meaningless, because it will be the result of a sham trial." This no doubt will be the position of the Democrat Party as a whole and is sure to be featured prominently in their response to the State of the Union address.

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders wants to impose national rent control. He unveiled the policy proposal last September and recently reiterated his support via Twitter. Sanders proposes a national cap on annual rent increases to 1.5 times the rate of inflation or 3 percent—whichever is higher. Ironically, the article Sanders tweeted out attributes increasing rent prices, in part, to government control over the private housing market. This irony reinforces what many economists already know to be true: the left’s prescriptions for lowering housing prices are precisely what keeps prices high and supply low. Rent control would be a flagrant infringement of American property rights

Tax season kicked off Monday, and the biggest question on most taxpayers’ minds is how quickly they will get their refunds. Receiving a refund can normally take up to six weeks, but staffing issues at the agency might make that turnaround time much longer. Customer service is a big part of making tax seasons successful, and the Internal Revenue Service is one of the lowest-scoring agencies in that area, according to the Taxpayer Advocate Service annual report to Congress for 2019. Budget cuts are a contributing factor to the IRS’s poor customer service — it's harder to garner more hires with less money. Agency head count has fallen by 20%

Nobody elected John Bolton to anything. That reality is at the core of what appeared to frustrate Mr. Bolton and numerous other senior presidential aides during my time working in the West Wing for President Trump. As a staffer, if you have a policy disagreement with the president, you have two options: You either subordinate your views to his and fulfill his wishes — or you quit. That does not mean you shy away from making your case behind closed doors — and in my experience the president encouraged dissenting views — but once the president makes a decision, it is your job to execute it
