The Flynn prosecution now stands exposed
as massive FBI and DOJ abuse of power

Here’s another black eye for the Justice Department’s Obama-era leadership: The case against Gen. Michael Flynn is in full collapse. Federal prosecutors just backed down from their demand that Flynn — President Trump’s first, short-lived national security adviser — serve jail time for lying to FBI investigators, telling a court Wednesday that probation would be a “reasonable” sentence. In fact, Justice had long wanted leniency, since Flynn cooperated fully with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigations. But last month it started seeking up to six months of confinement — mainly because he’s no longer taking responsibility for his crime.

When will Barr leave his cover-up mode and do his damn Job! These FBI and Justice employees are the ones needing prosecution not General Flynn. Barr and Wray have been huge disappointments, whomever is making suggestions to Press. Trump for such appointments needs serious help!

#4, I ask the same question. Why hasn't Barr requested an investigation to see what happened? I get chills when I think of Wray as Director of the FBI. He needs to go. He was recommended by Rosenstein and can not be trusted. Get someone that is clean in there.

How does anybody know Barr is not investigating any of this. He is not required to go public regarding investigations. I have a feeling that something is coming and it is going to be big. It takes time to make a case that can be prosecuted. Let's relax and wait a bit.

#8 There is no way anyone with a modicum of integrity, which of course we need in an AG, can let a shawm prosecution continue. It so cheapens his office! Evidently Barr has so little that he is allowing the trial to continue!

Barr is working in an environment where any prosecution must be iron-clad and foolproof. Even then, he understands that everything he does will be refuted by lies, and that the lies will be supported through the talking points network, embellished and sanctified by the media. Justice pursued will be proclaimed by the left as Fascist persecution. Barr must pick his battles and do the extra work required to anticipate and refute the lies that will emanate from the progressive pit. If he is a good and courageous man he will take up the challenge, understanding that if he does not, normals will understand that justice in America is truly dead.

You have to wonder how a federal agency could ever sink this low. How could agents do this? How could senior agency officials sanction this? Why was there no one in the leadership who put a stop to all this, once they became aware of it? I guess the answer is that they are all corrupt. They were selected for their jobs because they are useful idiots, who have no morals or ethics. Oaths of office are just a technicality, required to get the job, but meaningless. Swamp, deep state, democrats...Whatever we call them, they are all the worst of human beings. I am hoping that there are some, in the lower ranks, who despise this and will someday be able to restore some professionalism, ethics, and honesty to the agencies.

Can I just say first that I LOVE Sydney Powell? She has done more for Flynn in the time she has been his attorney than the swamp creatures who used to represent him every did. All they did was Hoover his wallet for their own gain. I want Flynn exonerated and that Judge slapped down or tossed off the bench. The General did not deserve the legal treatment he got, and if those other high priced Call Boys could not see that or stop it, they deserve disbarment. I would put Powell up with F. Lee Bailey in his heyday or Mark Levin as the kind of attorney you want fighting for you. This case, Manafort, and Roger Stone should provide ample evidence of the need to rein in the FBI and their creative writing forms they use to make their cases. If recording and video is good enough for local LE, it should be good enough for the Feds as well.

As for myself I believe at least 50% of Americans and at least 70% of all government workers are registered democrats. I hope that they are able to wake up to the true facts that the Democrat Party is dedicated to and voted in their DNC to follow the tenets proclaimed by the Communist Party of the U.S. of America. If they do not awaken soon America will fall into the clutches of Marxist Communism of the One World Government which they and their Rinos' brag of having been working for this takeover for the past 70 years according to Sen. McCain when he bragged about helping the Marxist Communist democrats defeat the removal of the Marxist Communists democrats ACA.

Why the Senate Passed on Witnesses 12 replies
Posted by Pluperfect 2/2/2020 5:24:28 AM Post Reply
The Senate voted on Friday not to have witnesses appear for the Pelosi Stillborn Impeachment. Here is why. The Senate Is Not the House. The United States Senate is a more deliberative, elegant body than is the House, and it is comprised primarily of more even-keeled politicians. There is a simple reason for this. In the House of Representatives it is possible to get elected in an outlier district and to remain there for years without bothering to manifest prudence or common sense. Maxine Waters is a lock because her district is perfect for her, and she for them. Same with Nancy Pelosi.

The most amazing thing about Democrats and their allies in the media is that they never actually lose. Any time it seems like they lose, it’s actually the result of cheating and chicanery. Hillary Clinton didn’t lose 2016, the Russians interfered and the Electoral College is racist. Stacy Abrams didn’t lose in Georgia, the election was stolen. And sure enough, the calls have already come out to say that House Democrats aren’t really going to lose the impeachment trial, because without additional witnesses the trial isn’t legitimate and the acquittal isn’t real. Not this time. Mitch McConnell, President Trump’s legal team, and the GOP made fools

My current theory is that the Democratic Party establishment knows Joe Biden is too old and too weak to take on Trump one-on-one, but is in a panic about Bernie, which is why the party is now starting to edge Michael Bloomberg into the picture. (More about this in a separate post.) Among other things, if Biden gets the nomination, just imagine how the Trump campaign will recycle Biden’s old problems captured in this video below from 1987, where Biden admitted his “memory isn’t so good.” Is his memory really likely to be any better 33 years later? A bigger problem is that he simply lies,

The Democratic National Committee bowed to reality on Friday, dropping the fundraising requirements that had kept Mike Bloomberg out of the presidential debates. But the new rules don’t kick in until after the Feb. 7 debate in New Hampshire — and overall seem designed to shrink the debate field, possibly to the advantage of establishment favorite Joe Biden. Until now, making the debates required some minimal success both in the polls and in raising lots of donations from several states — 225,000 donors, with at least 1,000 from 20 different states, for the Feb. 7 debate.

In 1987, McDonald’s launched an ingenious sweepstakes based on the game of Monopoly. Customers would purchase sandwiches, fries, drinks, etc., that included peel-off game pieces on the packaging — potentially rewarding them with anything from a Filet-O-Fish to a new car to $1 million. People went wild for it and business spiked by 40 percent for the fast-food giant, who kept it up for years. But it wasn’t all happy meals. “It seemed like an opportunity for ordinary people to get ahead, but there were consequences,” said Brian Lazarte, co-director of the HBO docu-series “McMillion$,” premiering Monday, about the contest. In fact, some 50 people would be convicted for cheating.

Now that the Senate trial is over, I hope Democrats have plenty of water and aspirin in preparation for the raging impeachment headache they're about to endure. Senate Republicans voted Friday not to admit any additional witnesses or evidence, the right thing to do in this ridiculous impeachment process, effectively ending our national nightmare, wherein we were expected to be absolutely outraged that President Trump asked Ukraine to investigate a matter that journalists in the United States themselves have been investigating. All that's left to do is vote to either convict or acquit, and it looks a lot like acquittal. I suspect that, when Democratic voters asked for impeachment,

The climax of “Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words,” arrives when the venerable justice recalls the moment he learned his nomination to the Supreme Court was confirmed. Speaking very much “in his own words,” Thomas remembers thinking, “whoop-dee-damn-doo.” The humor is poignant because it comes after viewers journey with Thomas through his whole life, from rural poverty in the Jim Crow South to Yale, from one marriage to another, from seminary to the Supreme Court, and from hard-earned respectability to a devastating confirmation battle. After watching decades of blood, sweat, and tears culminate in a character assassination of historic proportion, “whoop-dee-damn-doo” feels about right.

Sen. Bernie Sanders has put nationalizing health insurance at the center of his presidential campaign, but his proposal to fight climate change also calls for a government takeover of a fundamental segment of the economy — electricity production. Sanders has laid out a $16 trillion climate change plan that would transition U.S. electricity generation away from fossil fuels to renewable resources like wind, solar and hydropower by 2030. That’s far faster than any other Democratic candidate's target and sets a pace that rivals like former Vice President Joe Biden say is unrealistic. And like Sanders' healthcare plan, the green energy
