LONDON - A Brexit supporter burned a European Union flag beside Downing Street in central London on Friday as others jeered at pro-EU demonstrators in the final hours before the United Kingdom is due to leave the bloc. About 200-300 pro-European Union supporters were mocked by pro-Brexit supporters as they walked from Downing Street to the office of the European Commission in London. Police formed a line to keep the two groups apart. The pro-Brexit supporters were singing “shame on you, shame on you”, “losers, losers” and “bye, bye EU” to the tune of Auld Lang Syne.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. They needed this message. Hope the locals in the other countries repeat it.

Brexit supporters = British Patriots EU supporters = vassal and slaves Burning the EU flag is a good thing IMO - it symbolizes not a country, but a system of oppression where no accountability to the people is allowed.

It was just bad branding. Next time you impose an un-accountable globalist directorate upon a dozen otherwise independent nations just don't call it the: "Eeeooow". Yuk !

One-party blue city San Francisco has a corruption problem. Turns out the sewage on the streets isn't the only thing filthy about San Francisco. Its man in charge of that clean-up, Mohammed Nuru, was busted with a septic tank full of corruption charges. According to the San Francisco Examiner: In the biggest public corruption scandal to shake City Hall since 2015, [San Francisco Public Works Director Mohammed] Nuru and local entrepreneur Nick Bovis of famed Union Square sports bar Lefty O’Doul’s have each been charged with one count of wire fraud. On impeachment, Mitt Romney has thrown a spanner in the works. What looked like a speedy scrapping of the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump, premised on Democrats beclowning themselves, is now on hold. Romney says that John Bolton's "bombshell" about a supposed Ukrainian aid-for-investigation quid pro quo is so significant it merits calling Bolton as a witness in the Senate impeachment trial, just as Democrats have been calling for, though not enough to call him in at the House. According to the Associated Press: WASHINGTON (AP) — It’s Mitt Romney’s big moment, again. The 2012 Republican presidential nominee has for a year been a

Based on its own ideology, the American Left must now conclude that their own educational policies are racist. A groundbreaking study by a group called Brightbeam (“a network of education activists demanding better education and a brighter future for every child”) has discovered that cities politically dominated by progressives have far greater gaps between the average educational achievement levels of whites and minorities of blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans than cities politically dominated by conservatives. John Hinderaker of Powerline introduced me to the findings:

Is the era of Big Judicial Activism over? It might just be. Supreme Court Justic Neil Gorsuch, in a ruling about denying green cards to migrants who come here to be "public charges," something that's plainly laid out in U.S. law as illegal, threw in a special warning to activist judges, all leftists, who have been beavering away to rule from the bench, warning them that he's tired of their shenanigans. It's a specter to behold - a big lion on the Supreme Court who not only cares about rule of law, but is now warning the leftists out there that he's coming for them. Here's PJMedia's report:

Hard to say what fired and now former National Security Advisor John Bolton is up to these days now that the Senate impeachment trial is on. The latest news is here on the front page of the New York Times, reporting an anonymous "leak": WASHINGTON — President Trump told his national security adviser in August that he wanted to continue freezing $391 million in security assistance to Ukraine until officials there helped with investigations into Democrats including the Bidens, according to an unpublished manuscript by the former adviser, John R. Bolton.

Like week-old meat left in a hot car, the stench of defeat is starting to overpower the swag pens and stifled giggles in the Democrats' impeachment project. Axios has fresh news about how bad it is: Officials in both parties tell me that — barring surprise new information — President Trump is on a glide path to swift acquittal at his Senate impeachment trial, despite a blizzard of evidence bolstering Democrats' accusations. Why it matters: Trump has a decent chance of avoiding witnesses and of losing zero Republican votes on conviction. Think about that: When the news broke,

Communist regimes are famous for concealing inconvenient information and that appears to be the case in China with the spread of the coronavirus, a SARS-linked pneumonia-like flu that reportedly has killed 26, infected nearly a thousand, and spread to to more than a half a dozen countries beyond China, including the U.S. The Chinese have got 20 million people on lockdown in Wuhan and several cities near it, just as the Chinese New Year begins, which is the entire region's biggest holiday. It's pretty obvious the epidemic is spreading anyway. Officials, culpably or not, closed the barn door after the horse got out. According to the Associated Press:

Like a dolt shouting louder at a foreign-language speaker to make him 'understand,' Schiff's decided that if he just keeps talking enough with his long, long, long speeches, we will all suddenly turn into anti-Trumpsters and throw Trump from office. No kidding, he spoke for two and a half hours in his House manager introduction to the Senate impeachment court, the length of which alone was deadly to his case in the age of Twitter. To the extent that there are any free market capitalists left in the Democratic Party, it’s possible that they are true believers because they’ve seen the data,

Mitt Romney is stoking suspicions that he is eyeing a third White House bid in 2024 after the Utah Republican broke with his party and insisted on witnesses at President Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate. Along with centrist Susan Collins of Maine, Romney was one of just two Senate Republicans to join the Democrats in a failed vote to subpoena fresh testimony. The 2012 Republican presidential nominee might yet acquit Trump on two articles alleging abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, but consistent criticism of Trump throughout impeachment, a GOP rarity, capped by support for witnesses has some Republicans convinced Romney is jockeying to reclaim the party.
