Borders: Trump’s plan features a map of what Israel’s new borders will be, should it enact the plan fully. Israel will retain 20% of the West Bank and will lose a small amount of land in the Negev near the Gaza-Egypt border. The Palestinians will have a pathway to a state in the vast majority of territory in the West Bank, while Israel will maintain control of all borders. This is the first time a US president has provided a detailed map of this kind.
Jerusalem: The Palestinians will have a capital in east Jerusalem based on northern and eastern neighborhoods that are outside the Israeli security barrier –
Whatever or whoever constitutes a Pali won’t accept it I betcha. Even a $50 BILLION bribe likely won’t convince them. Killing, maiming and causing trouble is too rewarding apparently. Meh.

I am very conflicted about this Peace Plan because you have one participant who is willing to make concessions and the other party who appears to be more interested in retribution. It pains me to see the Israelis give up anything to the Palestinians who have conducted daily warfare against them for decades. I don’t want to keep rewarding bad behavior. However, it is not my call and peace has to be a mighty incentive for the Israelis to give into the demands of the Palestinians. We shall see if the Palestinians actually want peace or prefer to have the conflict continue for political reasons. My real concern is that this is the false peace described in the Bible that ushers in destruction. Nevertheless, we pray for peace in Jerusalem.

Golda Meir said it years ago, "Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us."
We're not there yet.

This, I believe, is a great plan to call out the Pali’s ONE MORE TIME, to expose them as not wanting peace, not wanting to join the world community. More fun being a terrorist tribe of hateful losers.

The Palestinians will never accept any peace deal no matter what. The only thing they want is the total extermination of Israel. They just love being able to claim their victim status. It makes them special.

Perhaps the cleansing and re-booting qualities of a nice big but very short WAR might be helpful here.

Sounds like a deal to me. Yes, sure hate to see Israel have to give up anything at all and why should they. But, at risk of the deal bringing a false peace, it's better than the status quo.

The problem is not simply a "Palestinian problem", it is a Pan Arab problem and a Islamic problem. All of those entities have instituted their internal problems into a psyche in which they blame Israel for their own problems and mistakes. If Israel did not exist they would have to find something else to blame for their self imposed victimhood as Islam has done throughout it's history.

Seems to me that Dubya was totally willing to support the creation of a separate state for these people years ago. But he made it conditional on the inmates of that area growing up and accepting the existence of Israel. They refused then, they will refuse now. They want it their way, not the adult way. They want it both ways, statehood and all the foreign aid they can shovel into their pockets. Hamas/PLO need to grow up and join the rest of us for a change. I am rather surprised that Obama didn't move on this issue during his time. After all, aren't they his 'brothers'?.. His words not mine.

I was in hopes this would be The One. But if you start out saying ''two state solution'' and calling some non-entity like Palestine a ''state,'' just forget about it until farther down the peace-accord-DIY line.

Trump doing what Trump does. Finding a way to give the other side what it CLAIMS it wants, forcing them to decline, and thereby leaving it clear for all to see what they are REALLY after. Of course the "Palestinians" will decline. What they want, ALL they want, is Israel gone. Once they are forced to show their hand to the world, Trump can then walk away and tell Bibi "have at 'em."
Trump was perfectly willing to have no deal with China and let the Chinese economy tank without unrestricted access to the US market. Once the Chicoms understood that, they came around. I do not expect the Palestinians will. So tell me again, why do WE care?
