Some 52 years after Martin Luther King Jr’s death and one week after the three-day weekend for which he is now remembered, Harvard says it discriminates against people with bad personalities. After all, what good is knowledge, morality and dreams if you’re no fun?
To the fun-loving bureaucrats running Harvard, personality is measurable by your skin color and your sex life. They believe that good personalities are found in blacks, Hispanics, gays, transgenders, whites and just about everyone else, in roughly that order.
Except Asians. Harvard says Asians have bad personalities. And so to be admitted, Asians need an SAT score about 140 points higher than whites
Yes...… but what did Harvard have to say about a certain woman claiming she was Cherokee?

We live in a community that has a high Asian population. These are upmarket Asians, from Hongkong and Taiwan, who hustled over here to protect themselves and their money. Many have large homes. They drive luxury cars (as do their kids - these cars seem to be the high school graduation present of choice). There are some lower class ones who are like the noisy, sometimes rude persons one encounters in Mainland China, but most here are educated and quite refined. They are quiet and they pretty much stay with their own. Their personalities are quite different from ours. The parents are very big on education. Their kids excel in school and the library across from the high school is packed with them after school. Studying.
What exactly does Harvard expect? Flagrant activism? Or are they simply racists?
Why does anyone care?

If this is multiple choice, #2, I pick B: They’re simply racist.

Asians are so much brighter than most blacks ( and whites, come to that) that they would pretty much keep blacks out of Harvard altogether, ruining their "diversity." And my bet is that Harvard will have to raise the bar even farther than just 140 points higher than whites.

I'm curious. The judge doesn't believe a person can be both intelligent and have a good personality. Which one does she excel at? Based upon her decision, I am guessing she has a heck of a personality.

Asians just aren't cool like the inner city kids down with the cause and fighting "the man". /s

I agree, neighbors kids (8-& 11) are already learning 3 languages and have twice been to China. Their only comment was using a hole in the floor. They are always complaining./s

I am surprised that anyone still wants to send their kids to that expensive indoctrination school. From what I have read about their grade inflation, I am not sure people are getting the quality education they are paying big bucks for. Harvard appears to be coasting on its reputation these days. You can probably get a better education at your local community college.

You all realize India is part of Asia? My high school kids fro India- 4.5 gpa- get flat out rejected from top tier schools because there are too many Asians.. it is complete discrimination- males hardest hit. All these elitist tout acceptance rate, but many don’t tout their the completion rate.. why! acceptance to a top tier school solely to fill out ‘diversity’ of ethnicity takes merit based acceptance and flips the finger at hard work..

Asians? Harvard had to limit Jewish applicants in the 40's and the same for Asians today. The white enrollment would stay steady at about 23% regardless. Old news.

I don’t think it’s personality. It’s culture. If you’ve ever been shoved out of the way by an Asian tourist trying to get a photo with a selfie stick you probably aren’t too crazy about their culture either. I’ve lost count of the number of times this has happened to me.

As a result, Asian parents are suing school districts to prevent them from reporting their children's race/ethnicity to the state. Hopefully we're also getting a few people leaving the left's grip.

Have lived in Asian countries for 4 years and can not disagree with Harvard. Will not shed a single tear for the most racist people on the planet. Racist and soulless. Can understand how soldiers in Vietnam could burn a village without remorse.

Decades ago a detailed study regarding "muscles for facial movements" was reported by some very serious scientists. The big finding was that Japanese had about half the number of muscles "for smiling" as were normal outside of East Asia.
So, a poor smile is now a "bad personality".
Fine, but the top scholars who will go on to be the finest physicians and medical researchers will NOT be attending Harvard, but that's OK. I prefer the BEST, not the smiliest when it comes to dentists, cardiologists, oncologists, opthamologists, etc.
On, on SAT scores ~ way back in the day ~ I was one point short of a PERFECT SAT. That led to all the big East Coast schools trying to recruit me.
I rejected them. Too pushy. Then, 4 years later, Harvard sent me an invitation to attend their lawschool ~ when I did a perfect LSAT. For some people they're not picky, but they didn't come up with a good offer so I rejected them again. Pushy, and thuggish bunch. And their athletic teams are still punk.
They abandoned the pursuit of excellence decades ago.

Harvard is no longer a school. It's a brand, and that's why we see it behaving like we might expect from, say, Apple or The Gap.
Fine, but a brand can live off it's long-gone quality reputation for only so long. Harvard is living on borrowed time.

Glenn Beaton is fast becoming my favorite writer. I love his answer for this particular form of flagrant demscrimination . "Because fairness".
I consider Glen to Frank Miele with an attitude.
